The Colorado Avalanche roster didn't see much change this off-season; instead Colorado re-signed many of their free agents and added Pierre-Alexandre "P.A." Parenteau, Greg Zanon, and John Mitchell. The Avalanche recently handed the Chicago Blackhawks their first regulation loss of the season and snapped their point streak in a 6-2 victory. Mitchell contributed a goal in the win while Matt Duchene had four points for the Avs. Colorado nearly ended Chicago's streak two nights prior; but, lost 3-2. The "streak busters" hope to gain confidence from the experience as they begin the second half of the shortened NHL
The most expensive match this season will be played against rival Detroit Red Wings
