4/15/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks will travel to St. Louis in two days to take on the Blues in the Scottrade Center. When they begin their opening series of the playoffs on Thursday St. Louis Blues vs. Chicago Blackhawks tickets will be averaging $156.

4/14/14 - With the Central Division sending three very good teams into the Stanley Cup Playoffs there was a very good chance that two of those teams would face off in a series, which is exactly what is set to take place on Thursday with the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks going up against the freefalling St. Louis Blues who have lost six straight to end the season. Chicago will be on the road to start the series but when they return to the United Center on Blackhawks tickets will be averaging $265.

4/11/14 - After a long fought battle to move up in the Central Division it was decided yesterday that the Chicago Blackhawks will finish in third place after the Colorado Avalanche clinched the second spot in the division upon beating the Vancouver Canucks 3-2. Today the Blackhawks will travel to DC to play the Washington Capitals that sees Blackhawks tickets averaging $94.

4/10/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks faced off against the very difficult Montreal Canadiens yesterday evening at the United Center that needed more than regulation to determine a winner. The Hawks picked up the win in Overtime thanks to the outstanding Patrick Sharp who netted the game winner and will now play their remaining regular season games all on the road before beginning the quest for their second straight Stanley Cup.

4/9/14 - Tonight marks the final regular season home game at the United Center for the Chicago Blackhawks as they host the Montreal Canadiens in this Original Six matchup. When they meet tonight the Blackhawks will be without Patrick Kane who is resting up for the playoffs with Blackhawks tickets averaging $175 for the contest.

4/8/14 - With time winding down the Chicago Blackhawks are making one last final push for the Central Division title. The Blackhawks are currently six points behind the St. Louis Blues for first in the division and need a strong showing in their final four games which begin tomorrow night at the Montreal Canadiens and is averaging $182.81 for tickets after dropping by nearly a quarter in price.

4/7/14 - Let it be known that the Chicago Blackhawks are not going down without a fight in the battle for the Central Division. On Sunday the Chicago Blackhawks beat the division leading St. Louis Blues 4-2 and now only trail them by 6 points in the Central. Today the Blackhawks will now welcome the Montreal Canadiens to the United Center.

4/4/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks faced off against the Minnesota Wild last night in a very close game that almost got away from them after giving up a goal with less than two minutes left in regulation. The two teams then went into overtime where neither team was able to put one in the net which sent it to a shootout where the Blackhawks came out on top without the likes of Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane.

4/3/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks have their first game in nearly a week tonight against the Minnesota Wild but will be without their Captain and All-Star player Jonathan Toews who will sit out the final six games of the Blackhawks regular season. This is just a precautionary measure as everyone knows Toews will absolutely be in the lineup for the playoffs but they want to make sure he will be 100% healthy when they do try and repeat as NHL Champions.

4/2/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks are hoping they can get back their Captain Jonathan Toews who is day-to-day with an upper body injury on Sunday. The good news for the Blackhawks is that they don’t play a game until tomorrow when they host the Minnesota Wild and only have five games after that until they begin their Stanley Cup defense in the NHL Playoffs.

4/1/14 - The epic battle for second place in the Central Division is heating up. The Chicago Blackhawks are just one point behind the Colorado Avalanche who have come on strong as of late to overtake the Chicago. The Blackhawks will need to be almost perfect down the final stretch of the season as the Avs will play two more games than the Blackhawks.

3/31/14 - The Blackhawks continued their losing ways last night, dropping a game to the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1. That is now three straight losses for Chicago and four losses out of their last five games. Jonathan Toews was hurt during the game, having to leave with an upper-body injury, though Coach Joel Quenneville thinks it is just a short term injury.

3/28/14 - Last night the Chicago Blackhawks traveled to Boston to meet up with the Beasts of the East, the Boston Bruins. The Blackhawks are the highest scoring team in the NHL this season but you wouldn't be able to tell that from yesterday's game when they were shutout 3-0. Next up for Chicago will be the Ottawa Senators whom they play Friday night.

3/27/14 - Chicago Blackhawks are going to have one of their biggest challenges when they play the Boston Bruins tonight. This will be the Blackhawks first game in Boston since winning Lord Stanley’s Cup there last June with an improbable come from behind victory wherein they scored twice in a 17 second span to steal the game and the series. The main concern for Chicago will be shutting down Jarome Iginla who has been on fire and lighting teams up recently.

3/26/14 - Tuesday evening the Blackhawks were able to bounce back from a bad loss to the Nashville Predators by dispatching the Dallas Stars 4-2. The Blackhawks got great play from Patrick Sharp who was making plays all over the ice had two assists in the game as well as the young Teuvo Teravainen making his NHL debut. Teravainen has been highly touted as one of the better prospects in the league and played very well in his first start in the majors racking up over 11 minutes of ice time in the game.

3/25/14 - Tonight the Chicago Blackhawks will play the Dallas Stars at the United Center. The Hawks will try and get the victory behind the play of Patrick Sharp who is nearing a career season just two points shy of his all time best. Additionally the Blackhawks signed Trevor van Riemsdyk out of the University of New Hampshire and younger brother of Toronto Maple Leafs forward James van Riemsdyk.

3/24/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks split their games this weekend winning on Friday over the Carolina Hurricanes and losing to the Nashville Predators on Sunday. Chicago is now in sole possession of second place in the Central Division by three points over the Colorado Avalanche. The Hawks will now begin preparing for their Tuesday night showdown with the Dallas Stars.

3/21/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks may have won their game Wednesday night against the Central Division leader St. Louis Blues but the outcome of that game might not be as important as what happened to Patrick Kane. The Blackhawks leading point score was placed on long term Injured Reserve (IR) with a lower body injury he sustained in the win two days ago meaning that he will be out at least 10 games and 24 days as a result. Tonight the Blackhawks hope to have enough firepower sans Kane to beat the incoming Carolina Hurricanes.

3/20/14 - Yesterday was a huge day for the Chicago Blackhawks. The Hawks hosted Central Division leader the St. Louis Blues Wednesday night, a team they have not beat in their last five attempts, and were able to make up some solid ground on them by coming out ahead 4-0. This was a must win game for the Blackhawks as they needed to build some confidence as these two teams will more than likely meet up in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

3/19/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks could not have asked to start last nights game against the Philadelphia Flyers any better than they did scoring twice in the first four minutes of the game. However the Flyers responded quickly as Scott Hartnell scored just two minutes later and tied the game right before the end of the first period. The Blackhawks weren’t able to produce any points after that and went into Overtime 2-2 where the Flyers stole the game scoring the game winning goal with just five seconds left in OT.

3/18/14 - Today the Chicago Blackhawks leave for Philadelphia to play the Flyers as they look to get back into second place with a win. Chicago is just a single point behind the Colorado Avalanche in the Central Division and if they can get three points will jump over them. The Blackhawks will be on this trip without forward Brandon Saad who sustained an upper body injury in the game against the Red Wings on Sunday.

3/17/14 - Marian Hossa was the difference for the Chicago Blackhawks in their contest on Saturday as he provided the spark to lead Chicago over the Detroit Red Wings. This was Hossa’s first game back on the ice since missing five games with an injury and he was well rested as he scored once and added two assists in the game. From here the Hawks look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday when they take on the Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center.

3/14/14 - Today the Nashville Predators travel to Chi-town to take on the defending Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks at the United Center. The Blackhawks now sit in third place in the Central Division but with a win can jump the Colorado Avalanche for second place and will be just four points out of first place.

3/13/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks had a very big game last night against the Colorado Avalanche in the battle for second place in the Central Division. The Avs have had the Blackhawks number all season long and last night was no different as Colorado came away with the 3-2 victory on home ice. With this win the Avalanche were able to leapfrog the Hawks and now sit solely in second place, just a single point ahead of Chicago.

3/12/14 - There is no doubt that the Chicago Blackhawks will be playing in the most intriguing game the NHL has scheduled today when they travel to Colorado to play the Avalanche. These two teams both are among the best in the West and are only separated by a single point with the Hawks having the lead in the Central Division. The Avs come into tonight confident having won four of their previous five against Chicago and five of the last six overall.

3/11/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks are one of the best teams in the NHL but unfortunately for them they have two teams within their division that are just as good, the St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche. These three teams all have over 89 points on the season and are separated by just five points total which makes the Hawks next game against the Avs on Wednesday night all that much more important as these teams will want to have home ice come playoff time.

3/10/14 - The Chicago Blackhawks had a few days rest before taking the ice Sunday against the Buffalo Sabres and it definitely proved to be the difference in the game as they were able to come away with the victory by a score of 2-1. In the game Chicago’s two best players showed up as Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews each scored a goal with the Captains being the winning point early in the final period to seal the W for the Hawks.

3/7/14 - Last night the Blackhawks got back on track when the absolutely dominated the Columbus Blue Jackets in every aspect of the game to beat them for the twelfth straight time 6-1. Chicago’s captain Jonathan Toews played great as he was able to put away two goals in the game to put the game out of reach for the Blue Jackets.

3/6/14 - Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks look to get back on the winning side of things when they play the Columbus Blue Jackets after suffering a 4-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche. The Blue Jackets come into this game without one of their top performers in Marion Gaborik who they traded to the Kings yesterday while the Blackhawks stood firm at the trade deadline confident with the players already on their roster.

3/5/14 - Last night the Blackhawks were on the short end of a tough 4-2 loss in Chicago to the Colorado Avalanche, who were able to make up some decent ground in the Central Division and now sit just a single point behind the Blackhawks for second place. Today the Blackhawks are off but resume play again tomorrow night when they travel to Columbus to play the Blue Jackets.

3/4/14 - The Central Division leader Chicago Blackhawks will take the ice again tonight against the very good Colorado Avalanche as both these teams are jockeying for position heading into the playoffs. Chicago leads Colorado by just 3 points which makes this game all the more important for Chicago to keep a buffer between them and the Avalanche so they can get home ice in the playoffs.

3/3/14 - Enduring a constant downpour of heavy snow, the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field Saturday evening 5-1. Patrick Sharp was the first Blackhawk to get on the board with a late 1st period goal, assisted by Jonathan Toews and Nick Leddy. Chicago went on to score two more in the second period, with goals by Toews and Kris Versteeg. James Neal was able to light the lamp early in the 3rd to make it 3-1, but the Blackhawks would score twice again for a resounding 5-1 victory. Chicago currently sits at 36-12-14 with 86 points on the season.

2/25/14 – Six Blackhawks played for Olympic gold in Sunday’s Canada-Sweden finale – Toews, Sharp, Keith, Hjalmarsson, Oduya, and Kruger. The medalists returned home to prep for one of the biggest game’s this week; averaging $265 for a seat at Soldier Field, Stadium Series attendees will get to see the first-ever matchup between Sidney Crosby and Jonathan Toews! But first, Chicago will take on the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden, a meeting pricier than the aforementioned Stadium Series game against the Penguins. Chicago Blackhawks vs. New York Rangers tickets are averaging $307 when the NHL resumes.

2/18/14 – A total of ten Chicago Blackhawks players are participating in the Olympic Games in Sochi this Winter - Canada's Jonathan Toews, Patrick Sharp, and Duncan Keith; Sweden's Marcus Kruger, Niklas Hjalmarsson, and Johnny Oduya; Slovakia's Marian Hossa and Michal Handzus; the Czech Republic's Michal Rozsival; and Teams USA’s Patrick Kane. Welcome back the gold seeking bunch when they take the ice with their NHL teammates Mar 1 at Soldier Field; Stadium Series tickets range from $121 - $1025 for a seat outdoors.

2/3/14 – After losing four of their last five, including their second shootout loss to the Sharks Saturday, the Blackhawks are five points behind the NHL leading Anaheim Ducks. Chicago has not won in OT this season; going 0-6 to date. Can the 2013 Champs find a way to win in the last half of their six game road trip? Chicago escapes the Polar Vortex and heads to sunny So Cal for two games against the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks before heading Phoenix to take on the soon-to-be Arizona Coyotes.

1/28/14 – Following the team’s Stanley Cup Finals win, 2013-14 Chicago Blackhawks tickets were the most expensive in the League. Since, prices have fallen 26 percent on the secondary market despite the team’s current third place standing overall and leaders of their division. Looking to bounce back from a three game losing streak, Chicago faces a tough 6-game road trip before the break; after the Olympics, the Blackhawks first "home game" is at Soldier Field as part of NHL’s Stadium Series. The first hockey game ever to be played at the Chicago Bears home is the most expensive outdoor game in the series, but has dropped 47 percent in price since the start of the season!

2012-2013 Season

In this lockout-shortened National Hockey League season, it is proving important to get off to a strong start, and one team, the Chicago Blackhawks, have taken that mission to heart, having recently matched a league record for most consecutive games with a point earned at the beginning of a season. The Blackhawks are not only second in the league overall in goals per game average, they are also second in the league at the moment in goals against average as well, all of which contribute to a well-oiled machine on the United Center ice. Right wing Patrick Kane is leading the way for the Blackhawks in both goals scored and assists, which is also putting him in the top five in points leaguewide. Also making major contributions are Jonathan Toews, who leads the team in plus-minus; as well as winger Marian Hossa, center Patrick Sharp; and defenseman Duncan Keith, who provides not only some offensive support, but is also an on-ice enforcer who is second on the team in penalty minutes. In net, both Corey Crawford and Ray Emery have proven to be nearly unbeatable; Crawford is in the top five in the league in both save percentage as well as goals-against average. Emery has a higher goals-against average, but has a strong save percentage. All in all, the Blackhawks are front and center in any discussion of who may capture the Stanley Cup in this year's campaign.
