Calgary Flames News – 2013 Flames Updates
It’s a rebuilding year for the Calgary Flames, who in the offseason drafted Sean Monahan, Emile Poirier, and Morgan Klimchuck with their picks earned in the Jarome Iginla and Jay Bouwmeester trades (plus their own). University of Wisconsin alum and former Badger Captain John Ramgae also signed with the franchise. The foursome with the 13th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Sven Bärtschi, and 19 others will play in the 2013 Young Stars Classic this week.
Calgary Flames tickets are averaging $222 this season, a 78% increase from last year. The most expensive game at Scotiabank Saddledome
is on 11/1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins (avg. $292). Battle of Alberta tickets mid-November are averaging $229; the rivalry game played against the Edmonton Oilers
is the twelfth most expensive on the Calgary Flames home schedule. The two teams will play on 12/7 at Rexall Place in a game averaging $219 and then again in Calgary on 12/27 averaging $247. Longtime Flames Captain Jarome Iginla will make his return to Alberta as a Boston Bruin on 12/10. Calgary Flames vs. Boston Bruins
tickets range from $85-$533.
Now a member of the Pacific Division following the NHL realignment
, the Calgary Flames will play more games against the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes, and San Jose Sharks and less against the Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche who moved to the Central Division.
