Boston Bruins News – 2013 Bruins Updates
With a shortened season, it becomes important for a team to get out of the blocks fast, and the Boston Bruins have done just that, moving to the top of the Northeast Division. The Bruins, who recently traded former Conn Smythe and Vezina Trophy winner Tim Thomas to the
New York Islanders, have not missed his presence in the net one bit, as Tuukka Rask has stepped up as the team's lead goaltender. Rask currently is among the NHL's top ten in goals-against average and just outside the top ten in save percentage. All of this contributes to a penalty-kill that is tops in the league, and an overall goals-against average that is also top ten leaguewide, with defenseman Zdeno Chara, who is also the team's workhorse with the greatest average time per game on the ice. On the offensive side of the ice, center David Krejci leads the way with 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists), while winger Brad Marchand has the team lead in goals scored. So far the Bruins have enjoyed success both at home at the
TD Garden as well as on the road; it remains to be seen if they can keep up the hot pace.
Boston Bruins tickets at TD Garden in Boston average $152, with cheap Bruins tickets from $48 in the Balcony 300s. Bruins hockey tickets for away games average 21% less per ticket, and the Bruins continue to be one of the ten most demanded
NHL tickets on the road. In March, the Boston Bruins schedule features home games versus the
Montreal Canadiens (3/3, 3/27),
Toronto Maple Leafs (3/7, 3/25),
Philadelphia Flyers (3/9) and
Washington Capitals (3/16).
