10/31/14 - Now that the Aggies were able to end their losing streak by defeating out of conference opponent UL Monroe last Saturday, they can turn their sights back to their grueling SEC slate. Though the Aggies have lost three straight SEC contests, all have been against teams ranked in the top 15. 6/13/14- In the wake of graduation, the NFL Draft and disciplinary issues, Texas A&M Aggies football lost a total of eight players. 6/4/14 – Key sophomore defenders Darian Claiborne and Isaiah Golden have been dismissed from the team. 11/6/13- After multiple personnel changes at the coaching level, the Texas A&M Aggies are 7-2 and third in the SEC West. (After Manziel), and Kevin Sumlin and his charges will be seeking to validate the move to the SEC. This year the Aggies will be hitting the road for many of its biggest games, though L.S.U. comes to Kyle Field this year.
In its first year as a member of the SEC, Texas A&M showed that it belongs among the elite programs in the country. Quarterback Johnny Manziel became the first-ever freshman to win the Heisman trophy, leading the Aggies to a Top 5 national ranking and a Cotton Bowl victory over the Oklahoma Sooners.
