Oregon Ducks Football 2016 News and Updates

2015 Season

10/22/15 - Following a close loss to the Cougars, Oregon Ducks Football rebounded with a quality win over Washington just a week later. Now 2-2 in Pac-12 competition, the Ducks used an aerial attack to outrun the Huskies, getting 272 passing yards and two TDs from Vernon Adams Jr. Darren Carrington was the beneficiary of five of those passes, logging a couple touchdowns of his own to help improve Oregon’s season record to 4-3. They’ll have plenty of work to do if they wish to finish the season strong, and the next name on their list is Arizona State. Get your tickets for Ducks at Sun Devils this weekend starting at $24!

10/13/15 - The Oregon Ducks are typically a team that is ranked during the entire season and are a force to be reckoned with. Nonetheless, The Oregon Ducks football program has struggled to stay on top this season. The Ducks are on a back and forth streak with a win, followed by a loss. Last week was another disappointment against the Washington State Cougars. The game was full of excitement and a ton of offense, which led the two teams into double overtime. The Cougars finished off the Ducks in the second overtime by scoring the final winning touchdown of the night. See if the Ducks can come back from another frustrating week when they take on the Washington Huskies.

10/8/15 - The 2015 – 2016 is off to an unexpectedly rough start for Oregon Ducks Football fans. The team that is notorious for dominating the Pac 12 Conference is currently sitting with a measly 3 -2 record. Fortunately, they took home a win last weekend against conference rivals the Colorado Buffalo, winning 41 – 24. Hopefully the victory helped the Ducks reclaim some of the swagger they lost after losing in embarrassing fashion to the Utah Utes 62 – 20 at the end of September. This week, the Ducks will take on the Washington State Cougars at home, giving them another opportunity to come together as a team. Tickets are on sale for $26 and up.

10/1/15 - The Oregon Ducks football team has had a disappointing start to their usually outstanding seasons. Their record is currently 2-2 and they are no longer nationally ranked. It is important to notice that the Ducks have had some tough competition along the way. Last week they faced off against the Utah Utes who are ranked number ten in the nation. The game was looking like a pretty even match up in the first quarter when both teams scored six points apiece. However, that quickly changed in the second quarter when the Utes took it to the Ducks, outscoring them by 14 points and eventually winning the game. The Ducks play away on October 3 against the Colorado Buffaloes. Get your tickets before it’s too late.

9/24/15 - Things aren’t quite the same without Marcus Mariota in town, but Oregon Ducks Football is anything but dead and done. They bounced back from a tough 31-28 loss to the Spartans with a 61-28 drubbing of Georgia State last weekend, getting 228 yards from QB Jeff Lockie including a pair of TDs. Royce Freeman put his own stamp on the game for the Ducks, rushing for 101 yards including a carry into the endzone. Oregon led 33-7 at the half and things never got much better for the Panters after that. The Ducks will host the Utah Utes this weeked at Autzen Stadium and limited tickets are still on sale! Get yours from $72!

9/17/15 - The Oregon Ducks football team left the Spartan Stadium on September 12 disappointed from the results of their Saturday game against Michigan State. The Ducks were able to match the Spartans touchdown in the first quarter, but hit the locker rooms during halftime down a touchdown. However, this didn’t get the Ducks ferocious offense down and instead fired them up for the second half. They outscored the Spartans in the last two quarters by three points, but it all came down to the Spartans aggressive defense in the final minutes of the game. The Ducks had some great play calls in the final seconds, but Michigan State’s defense held them off. Get your tickets today to see if they can come back from the devastating loss when they take on Georgia State this weekend.

9/10/15 - The Oregon Ducks football team is one of the best in the nation and has been for the last several years. This year isn’t an exception and the Ducks were able to pull in a number seven ranking among the Associated Press. For their season opener, the Ducks hit the green grass against the Eastern Washington Eagles. The game was chock full of great offensive plays and a ton of scoring. Regardless of the Eagles being unranked, they were able to hold their own pretty well against the elite team. The ending score was 61-42 for the Ducks. See the Ducks live on Saturday, September 12 against the Michigan State Spartans who are ranked in the number five spot. This will be a game to remember so get your tickets today.

9/1/15 - There were plenty of highlights at the full-pads practice this week, as Oregon Ducks Football gears up for the 2015 season. Vernon Adams Jr. and Jeff Lockie put together crisp passes, hitting receivers Dwayne Stanford and Jalen Brown on separate drives. Lockie was able to string together a series of late-practice touchdown passes, connecting with Stanford as well as Byron Marshall and Devon Allen. Oregon is putting the finishing touches on their preseason tune-ups, as they prepare for an opening week showdown with the Eastern Washington Eagles at home. Autzen Stadium will be the venue for the Ducks’ 2015 football opener, and limited seating is still available for the Sept. 5th contest! Get your seats now starting at $48, but don’t delay—supplies are limited!

8/28/15 - The Oregon Ducks football team is ready to start up their season in just about a week's time. They have many away games near the end of the semester, but things should be nice and exciting at the beginning. Three of their first four games will be on their own field. To start the season off, the Ducks will be hosting the Eastern Washington Eagles on September 5th. Tickets are available starting at $37. They will have a quick away game, but the Ducks will return on September 19th to host the Georgia State Panthers. Tickets for that game are also still available, starting at $18. Finally, before hitting the road again, the Ducks will have one more home game on September 26th against the Utah Utes.

8/6/15 - In an apparent sign of the times, Sports Illustrated recently ranked Oregon Ducks Football 10th among all college football teams heading into the 2015 season. It’s the second such ranking for the Ducks this week, as Oregon is expected to take a dip in performance following the departure of Heisman winner Marcus Mariota to the ranks of the NFL. The Ducks find themselves ranked below several returning contenders from last season, including No. 9 Florida State, No. 5 Alabama, No. 2 Auburn, and the top-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes. Tickets are on sale right now for the upcoming college football season, and you can claim yours today! Oregon Ducks Football kicks off at Autzen Stadium on 9/5 versus the Eastern Washington Eagles—get seats starting at just $27!

7/30/15 - With the start of the 2015 college football season fast approaching, Oregon Ducks Football fans are salivating at the chance for redemption after their crushing loss in the first annual CF Playoffs last year. The big question mark, at least this week—who’s going to be starting at the quarterback position? The logical answer would seem to be Trent Lockie, who backed up Marcus Mariota last season and saw some real time on the field, albeit against Wyoming and South Dakota. Taylor Alie is another returning athlete who figures into the conversation, as do newcomers Travis Jonsen and transfer Vernon Adams, both who might vie for a starting role as well. Tickets are on sale now for Oregon Ducks Football—get yours starting from $25 for the 9/5 opener!

6/25/15 - Oregon Ducks football coach Mark Helfrich went on record stating that he does not expect any issues recruiting Vernon Adams Jr. for their quarterback. It sounds like there are some tasks that need to be taken care of before he can commit, but even Adams suspects he will be playing for the Ducks this fall. Fans are a little worried, as recruitment has been rough going for many teams this year, even some Big 12 teams. Regardless, if Adams does make it on the team, he will bring a strong offence to the Ducks. It certainly is an exciting prospect. Their first home game will take place on September 5th, so it will not be long until fans are able to see firsthand how Oregon filled out.

5/28/15 - Just because college football is currently off season, doesn’t mean that there isn’t a lot of work going on behind the scenes. This week the Oregon Ducks football program welcomes Notre Dame transfer, Matt Hegarty, with open arms. Hegarty played as a very successful center and guard for Notre Dame. The Ducks have been on the hunt for a new center to replace their graduate Hroniss Grasu, who started for the Ducks the last four seasons. Hegarty has had some health issues in the past, suffering from a stroke early on at South Bend. After surgery to repair two small holes in his heart, Hegarty is ready to hit the field with the Ducks. Tickets for the upcoming season are already available, so don’t miss your chance to become a season ticket holder.

2014-2015 Season

1/1/15 - According to ESPN, the Oregon Ducks football team has finally arrived. The Ducks are preparing to face the Florida State Seminoles in the Rose Bowl on January 1 in Pasadena. While Florida State has been a powerhouse in the sport, the same can’t be said of Oregon. Over the last six seasons, Oregon has transformed their team, winning four Pac-12 Conference Championships. They have a Heisman winner on their roster, plus a great roster of other elite athletes ready to compete. Expectations are high for this Oregon team, and you’ll want to come out to scream and shout for them in the stadium. Razorgator has tickets for this game, starting at only $118. Make a resolution to enjoy your New Year’s Day with two great teams and start a new tradition.

12/26/14 - For more than 100 years, the Rose Bowl has been the premier game in college football, and this year will be no exception with the Oregon Ducks football team facing the Florida State Seminoles. The Ducks have the current Heisman winner leading their offense, and the Seminoles have a past Heisman winner leading them. It will be a battle to the end. Pasadena is a great place to spend the New Year’s holiday. Parties begin on New Year’s Eve in the streets leading up to the parade. The Rose Parade is watched by millions worldwide, and you’ll never see it the same once you’ve been there. With tickets still available for the game at just $90, you’ll want to witness this exciting game in person and enjoy the full experience of the Rose Bowl.

12/17/14 - The #2 Oregon Ducks football team is pitted against the #3 Florida State Seminoles in the 101st Rose Bowl Game on New Year’s Day. Oregon features the second best offense in the nation, averaging 546 yards per game, while Florida State’s offense is ranked 26th with 435 yards per game. This statistic tells only part of the story though, because despite their relatively low offensive ranking, the Seminoles have won an amazing 29 games in a row. Several of Florida’s wins this season have been by thin margins, and Oregon’s defense will use this as extra motivation to put an end to the streak and terminate FSU’s championship hopes. Whoever prevails in this playoff semifinal showdown will advance to the championship game on Jan. 12. You can be a part of the excitement of the first ever college football playoffs – buy your tickets today!

12/11/14 - The only blemish on the record of the Oregon Ducks football team is a mid-season loss to the Arizona Wildcats. After the defeat, the Ducks fell in the rankings from number two in the country to number 12 in the country. Climbing their way back into the playoff picture and winning the Pac-12 North title, the Ducks faced the Wildcats again in the conference championship. With a resounding 51-13 win over the Wildcats, the Ducks silenced any doubters and redeemed their only loss of the season. Now, the second-ranked Ducks will face the Florida State Seminoles in the first round of the inaugural college football playoffs. Marcus Mariota, who many consider the frontrunner for this year’s Heisman Trophy, will lead his explosive offense against an equally dynamic Jameis Winston, last years Heisman Trophy winner, on New Years Day in the Rose Bowl. With tickets for this contest starting at $85, see Ducks continue their quest for a national championship.

12/4/14 - One of the most dynamic teams in NCAA right now is the Oregon Ducks. The currently sport an 11-1 record, and are leading the Pac-12 division. Their last outing was against Oregon State, and they wanted to pull out a victory more than anything against their inner-state rivals. They did just that, beating them 47-19. It was a complete shutout from start to finish. In their win, Marcus Mariota went on to throw for 367 yards and had 4 touchdowns. It’s this type of play from the Heisman candidate that makes the Ducks so dangerous each time they step onto the field. Up next for them is a game against Arizona, who are the 7th ranked team in the nation right now. Tickets for the game are starting out at $19.

11/24/14 - With a dominating 44-10 victory over Colorado, your Oregon Ducks football team continued a rampage through the ranks of the Pac 12 conference. The Ducks finish the 2014 regular season with the annual Civil War game against in-state rivals Oregon State on November 29. This year’s edition of the bitter rivalry takes place in Oregon State’s house in Corvallis, and tickets are available starting at $67. At 5-6, the Beavers might not be having a great season, but this annual contest always brings out the best in both teams. Looking ahead, the Ducks already locked up a spot in the Pac 12 championship game, and are waiting to find out who will represent the South Division. That game takes place on December 6 at Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, California, and tickets start at $74.

11/20/14 - One of the best teams in the nation, currently ranked 2nd, is the Oregon Ducks. They have one of the most dynamic offenses, and opponents are having a hard time of dealing with them. This was the case this last weekend, where they faced Utah. Oregon ended up with a dominant win, with a final score of 51-27. The Ducks’ quarterback, Marcus Mariota had a lights-out game. He ended up throwing for 239 yards and had 3 touchdowns. He was also a threat scrambling, getting 114 rushing yards with 1 touchdown. He’s one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in football right now, and he and his team are poised to win a national championship. Up next for them is a game against Colorado. This shouldn’t be a difficult game for them, but they can’t let up at this point in the season. Tickets for the game can be purchased right now. They are starting out at a low $52.

11/13/14 - Last week, the Oregon Ducks took on Utah, in what was a must-win game for them. They ended up pulling off a dominant win, with the final score being 51-27. At first, things didn’t look too good for them. They were down 7, but when a Utah player dropped the ball before reaching the end zone, an Oregon player picked it up and ran it back for a touchdown. From that point on, the game shifted in favor of the Ducks. In their win, Ducks’ quarterback Marcus Mariota went on to throw for 239 yards, throwing for 3 touchdowns and rushing for 1. He was dynamic as he’s ever been, and it’s play like this that is keeping the Ducks in the running for a National title. Up next for them is a game against Colorado. They are favored big, but they still need to look sharp, especially since the playoffs are almost upon them. Tickets for the game are available right now, which start out at $59.

11/6/14 - Fans of the Oregon Ducks should be feeling pleased by their team's victory so far this year. Their streak continued in the recent game against Stanford, with the Ducks winning at 45-16. This makes for their fourth straight win after their close victory over the California Gold Bears. On a night when Mariota's passing performance wasn't as sharp as usual, the Ducks made up for it in the running game, gaining 267 yards in all. One of the standouts was Royce Freeman, finishing up with 98 yards to his name. Their next game is set for November 22, when they play the Colorado Buffaloes. See it live and cheer for their winning streak to continue, with tickets starting at $41.

10/30/14 - It has been an exciting season for the Oregon Ducks. Going into their game against the California Golden Bears they had a winning record of 6-1. Wanting to continue their winning streak, they took it to the Bears beating them at a whopping 59-41. The first half was close in numbers, ending it at 31-28 for the Ducks. Quickly after the second half began the Oregon Ducks were able to pull away from the Golden Bears, solidifying their lead touchdown, by touchdown. The quarterback, Mariota was on a roll and completed 18 of 30 passes, contributing to the five touchdowns that were thrown. Watch some Oregon Ducks football on November 1, 2014 at the Autzen Stadium. Tickets to see them play Stanford start at $47.

9/18/14 - The No. 2 Oregon Ducks are certainly living up to their preseason ranking, with a 3-0 record and resounding victories over South Dakota, Michigan State and Wyoming. Marcus Mariota and Co. have scored at least 46 points in each outing thus far, and will look to extend this winning momentum onto the road for the first time of the season. Don’t anticipate the Ducks to tarnish their pristine record this Saturday when Oregon opens up their Pac-12 schedule, as the program has amassed an 11-2 record in their last 13 conference road matchups. Don the Green and Yellow on 9/20 and score Oregon Ducks tickets for as little as $42 when they take on the Cougars in Washington!

7/30/14 – Oregon Ducks Football will open their season in no less than four weeks! After last week’s Pac-12 conference came to a close, Oregon emerged as the media’s pick to win the conference championship game for the fourth time in five years—favored over two0time defending champion Stanford 37-2. The Pac-12 championship will play at Levi’s Stadium on Dec. 5, the first year it will be played at a neutral location. But first, the Ducks will have to power through their regular season schedule, which starts with a nonconference game against the South Dakota Coyotes on Aug. 30. Say you were there from the start and score Oregon Ducks tickets at Autzen Stadium for as little as $13.

7/9/14 – It’s clear that each year, the Oregon Ducks pose a formidable football power in the Pac-12—but now they just might rake in star power as well. Hip-hop heavyweight Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, is developing into one of the hottest prospects of the upcoming year, and he’s interested in a spot on Oregon’s roster. Despite already having 15 scholarship offers from the likes of USC, UCLA, Florida State, Oregon State and more, the consensus top 15 wide receiver is hoping to hear a duck call soon. Imagine buying Oregon Ducks tickets and winding up next to Snoop Dogg cheering on his talented son, lock your seats down today!

6/20/14 – Oregon Ducks Football knew very well they had a fast player on their hands in Devon Allen, but did they know how fast? The wide receiver was selected in the top 10 of fastest players in college football this year, but the speed demon recently competed and won the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Track & Field Championships—scoring the second-fastest time ever posted by a college athlete. The Ducks are returning 14 of their starters in total, figuring one of the most veteran lineups in the Pac-12; will the school debut the speedster (who red-shirted last year) as a fellow starter? Allen says “its still football first,” so see if he can tear up the gridiron this season with Oregon Ducks Football tickets!

5/27/14 – Four former Ducks were selected in the 2014 NFL Draft and two – Josh Huff and Taylor Hart – will join Chip Kelly and the Philadelphia Eagles. Not to worry about, the Ducks are stacked with young talent coming in and are No.2 in Sporting News’ preseason top 25. If Oregon wants the best chance at playing in the inaugural College Football Playoff, they’ll have to get passed No.6 Stanford (avg. $215) early in the season at home and No.8 UCLA on the road. Catch Marcus Mariota get his 2014 Heisman campaign underway at the home-opener against defending Rose Bowl Champions Michigan State Spartans. Oregon vs. MSU tickets are averaging $242 and are the most expensive of any game on the Ducks football schedule in 2014. Cheap Oregon Ducks tickets are available later in the season when the Colorado Buffaloes (avg. $97), Wyoming Cowboys (avg. $73), and South Dakota Coyotes (avg. $64) visit Eugene.

4/23/14 – Oregon’s top receiver Bralon Addison who made 61 catches for 890 yards with seven TDs last fall, tore his ACL. Not to fret Ducks fans, the coaching staff has a plan: insert Johnathan Loyd who just finished his basketball career as a point guard for the University. The former high school football receiver has proved himself in spring practices with his speed and hands and will add depth to Oregon’s receiving corps. Your first chance to see Loyd and the Ducks in action is August 30 when the South Dakota Coyotes visit Autzen Stadium. Oregon Ducks football tickets are just $29 for the home opener. The following weekend, Oregon will host 2013 Rose Bowl Champions, Michigan State Spartans one of the best non-conference matchups in the nation. Ducks tickets for the September 6 meeting range from $146 - $936.

2/6/14 - After a great 8-0 start, the Oregon Ducks were expected to make a run at a national championship title. Instead, they struggled in their last couple games to finish with a 10-2 season (7-2 Pac 12), for this to be considered a “down” season says something about the prestige of the program. The Ducks ended the year on a high note, capping off with an Alamo Bowl victory against rival Texas for a #9 ranking. With the departure of speedy De-Anthony Thomas to the NFL Draft, the Ducks have themselves covered with a talented 4-stars Tony James and Royce Freeman suiting up. Marcus Mariota, ranked second in the nation behind Jameis Winston in total QBR (90.1), foregoes the pros for another season, as he returns to the Ducks for his junior year! On the other side of the ball, the Ducks welcomed 4-star corner Arrion Springs, after the early leave of Terrance Mitchell and the graduation of safeties Brian Johnson and Avery Patterson. With so much incoming talent, and a matured QB returning, the Ducks are primed for another terrific season. Get your Oregon Ducks tickets and see if they can take it all the way this time!

For the Oregon Ducks, the last few years have been ones of unfulfilled expectations – always highly-regarded before the season, but either due to an unexpected result on the field, or due to injury, those preseason expectations are never met. 2014, in addition to being head coach Mark Helfrich’s second campaign, will be the final season as a Duck for highly-regarded quarterback Marcus Mariota, frequently mentioned as a Heisman Trophy candidate. This season will bring in the usual parade of Pac-12 opponents, but an early visitor to Autzen Stadium in ’14 will be a B1G one – Michigan State.

2013 Season

10/29/13 – The Ducks ranked No. 3 in the initial BCS rankings but jumped up a spot after a 42-14 win over UCLA last weekend. The crucial No. 2 position sets Oregon up nicely for a BCS National Championship berth, should the rest of the season play out as well as the first has. Mark Helfrich's team still has to face Stanford on the road; but a win against their Pac-12 North foes, would land them in their second Pac-12 Championship game and an almost sure win over their South competitor. With multiple tricks up their sleeves, don’t be surprised if the quack continue their attack straight to a Conference title and compete for the school’s first National Championship in football.

After the departure of head coach Chip Kelly to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Ducks look to extend their impressive streak of four consecutive BCS game appearances, without missing a beat. In hopes of a seamless transition, Oregon found a new head coach within the program in offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich. While the Ducks success under Kelly is unparalleled in the program’s history, Herlfrich will attempt to lead Oregon to its first national title. The Ducks return redshirt sophomore quarterback Marcus Mariota, who will continue to lead the high-powered, up-tempo offense. Average price for Oregon Ducks football tickets at Autzen Stadium this season is $149, 15th most expensive in the country and top in the Pac-12.

Oregon's season kicks off on 8/31 against FCS opponent Nichols State and is averaging $71, the lowest of any Oregon Ducks game in 2013. The annual Civil War game against rival Oregon State Beavers will be played in Eugene to end the regular season on 11/29. At an average Oregon St. vs. Oregon tickets price of $285 it is the most expensive home game on the Oregon Ducks football schedule this season by over $125. The Ducks will look to avenge their only loss last year on 11/7 versus the Stanford Cardinal. The Stanford vs. Oregon game last season effectively eliminated the Ducks from the BCS Championship conversation after the Ducks lost in overtime. They hope that this season, a win will help vault them into a spot in the 2014 BCS National Championship game.
