11/26/15 - The Oklahoma State Cowboys football program always seems to play in the shadows of the Oklahoma Sooners, but don’t count the Cowboys out this year. They are currently ranked as the ninth team in the NCAA standings and have put together an impressive team for others to compete with this season. Unfortunately, last week’s game against the Baylor Bears was one of their more disappointing matchups. The Cowboys fell behind early and made a valiant comeback in the fourth quarter, but it was just a little too late to pull off the W. 11/19/15 - Everyone seems to be abuzz about the Sooners, but let’s not forget about No. 4 Oklahoma State Cowboys Football! The Big 12 leaders are a flawless 10-0 on the season and 7-0 within the conference with just two contests remaining on the regular schedule. After escaping Iowa State by a slim 35-31 margin, the ‘Boys look forward to No. 10 Baylor and the No. 7 Sooners in what’s sure to be a pair of tough tests as they strive for the elusive 12-0 mark. 10/22/15 - They might be ranked a few notches lower in the national polls than the Sooners, but Oklahoma State Cowboys Football remains the sole undefeated program in OK at the season’s mid-point. A 33-26 victory over the West Virginia Mountaineers lifted the Cowboys to a perfect 3-0 in Big 12 play, as Mason Rudolph led the way in passing and rushing yards. The sophomore QB gave up three picks on the afternoon, but it wasn’t enough for WVU to prevail. Oklahoma State will look to improve on their No. 21 ranking when they host the Kansas Jayhawks this weekend—tickets for Boone Pickens Stadium can be yours starting at $71 each!
8/5/15 - When sports fans hear the words “Pistol Pete,” they undoubtedly think one of two things: either the legendary hoopster who set the basketball world ablaze in the 60s and 70s, or the mascot for Oklahoma State Cowboys Football. The Pistol Pete making the news this week is of Cowboys fame, as the iconic mascot’s image will once again adorn team helmets in 2015. Only this year, Oklahoma State will unveil not only a traditional orange look, but also an icy white and chrome-colored take on the infamous logo.
