7/20/14 – There’s no denying that a major draw at this year’s SEC media days was LSU Tigers head coach Les Miles and his quotable interviews. “The Mad Hatter” was true to form, but perhaps his most telling answer was also his shortest quip. “I like us. I like us in every game,” the coach said of LSU’s 2014 schedule. Though he wouldn’t mind “draft[ing] back some of the players" that the NFL took last year, he’s used to the challenges and looks forward to replacing them with guys who are just as capable, if not better. What’s more, the Tigers are 2-0 against Texas A&M since joining the SEC two years ago. See if the Bayou Bengals can make it a three-peat with LSU Tigers tickets today! The get-in price for this holiday matchup starts at a steep $146 minimum.
6/13/14 – The LSU Tigers may have been hit hard by this year’s NFL Draft, but the school still has an incredible crop of athletes starting in 2014. In fact, ten LSU players were named to the Athlon Sports All-SEC Teams this week, including Tre’Davious White (first team defense) and OT La’el Collins, corner Rashard Robinson and placekicker Colby Delahoussaye (second team). The Tigers return 17 starters from last season's 10-3 squad, with a few holes to fill on offense. Head coach Les Miles and his supporting staff will travel to Nike’s World Headquarters in Oregon to check out promising prospects at the invite-only “Opening” competition. The young LSU club will do all they can to get their veteran teammates a W in their final game at home, make sure you do all you can by buying LSU Tigers tickets for the November 8 game and cheer the purple and yellow on to victory!
5/20/14 – The brutal SEC West will not allow any breaks for the LSU Tigers this season. Coming off a 10-3 record last year, LSU returns one of the best offensive lines in the Conference but with the departure of Zach Mettenberger (QB), Odell Beckham (WR), and Jarvis Landry (WR) to the draft, there are concerns at the positions. The competition between sophomore Anthony Jennings and true freshman Brandon Harris for the starting role at quarterback is underway. Find out which QB gets the job with LSU Tigers tickets today! The home-opener against the Wisconsin Badgers is avg. $296, with a get-in price of $95. The season finale at Tiger Stadium is a much steeper $748 on average, more than double the next most expensive game (vs. Mississippi State, avg. $368).
4/21/14 – LSU and Wisconsin will play a neutral-site game to open the season August 30 at NRG Stadium (formerly Reliant Stadium), home of the Houston Texans. LSU Tigers football tickets for the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff start at $95. It will be just the third time the two teams will face off, and the first since 1972. The LSU Tigers schedule also features: Sam Houston State (get-in $34), Louisiana –Monroe (get-in $51), Mississippi State (get-in $84), New Mexico State (get-in $24), Kentucky (get-in $77), Mississippi (get-in $98), and highly-anticipated Alabama (get-in $301). Recently announced, the Syracuse Orange and LSU Tigers will play a home-and-home series beginning in 2015.
2/4/14 - The LSU Tigers are losing a big chunk of players to the NFL Draft this year. Foregoing degrees, WR Odell Beckham, DT Ego Ferguson, (top RB prospect) Jeremy Hill, DT Anthony Johnson, WR Javis Landry, and OG Trai Turner will be headed to the pros. Head coach Les Miles will be without much of his offense: 77.4% receiving yards and over half of their rushing yards, to be exact. Still, Miles had to deal with 10 players leaving two years ago, so six this time around is certainly not apocalyptic. Last year, LSU’s 10-3 record was generally viewed as a “down season” for the storied team, which displays the Tigers’ prestige, and it looks like Miles have another resurgence, with a recruiting class ranked 7 in the nation (headlined by No.2 rated recruit, RB Leonard Fournette). With 7 would-be seniors gone, can Miles do work with the inexperienced crew he has left?
11/5/13- The Tigers are getting ready to pounce for leadership in the SEC West, looking to improve their 7-2 record, after taking a loss to Mississippi and unranked Georgia earlier in the season. To do that, they must renew the LSU-Alabama rivalry this Saturday, when the Tigers host the undefeated Tide in “Death Valley”, for one of the biggest games in regular season play. In the last three meetings, LSU has come out on top by slight margins, but will they be able to snap Alabama’s unbeaten streak this year? Tickets start at $165 in the Upper Level, and rise to a staggering $772 in the second most expensive College football game of the year.
LSU Tigers Football 2015 Season
With head coach Les Miles entering his 10th season at the helm of the LSU Tigers, the tradition-laden squad hopes to be one of the four teams still standing when the first ever College Football Playoff selection committee makes its decisions later this year. As a member of the Southeastern Conference, arguably the Football Bowl Subdivision’s strongest collection of schools, LSU plays a parade of strong rivals every season, including such “Tiger bait” as Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. For 2014, the Tigers also open with a key neutral-site clash against Big Ten power Wisconsin.
The LSU Tigers season last year, which ended with a 10-3 record and a loss to the Clemson Tigers in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, was disappointing by LSU standards. This season, coach Les Miles looks to return the team to BCS National Championship contention in the final year of the current BCS format. Always known for their stingy defense, the Tigers will be hoping for improvement on the offensive side of the ball. The offense hinges on junior quarterback Zack Mettenberger, who should show more consistency with a full year of starting under his belt. Average price for LSU football tickets at home this season is $277, second highest in the NCAA after the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and one spot higher than rival Alabama Crimson Tide.
LSU opens the 2013 season against the TCU Horned Frogs in the Cowboys Classic in Arlington. Held at Cowboys Stadium on 8/31, it's the second most expensive game of the NCAA football season, with an average TCU vs. LSU tickets price of $726. The most expensive game on the LSU Tigers football schedule at Tiger Stadium this season is against Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies on 11/23, with an average price of $531 for the rivalry game. The LSU vs. Alabama game in Tuscaloosa this season is slightly less expensive, at an average Alabama vs. LSU tickets price of $525. At $78, the 10/26 game against FCS opponent Furman on 10/26 is the least expensive LSU Tigers football home game. The Florida Gators also come to Baton Rouge this season on 10/12, and Florida vs. LSU tickets are averaging $378.
