12/10/14 - After ending the season 11-1, the Baylor Bears football team finished first in the Big 12 but fifth in the country, barely missing a spot in the first-ever college football playoff. 12/1/14 - Despite hanging on to beat Texas Tech 48-46 in an exciting game, the Baylor Bears football team now finds itself on the outside looking in for a spot in the first-ever college football playoffs. Despite scoring a victory over Texas Christian University earlier in the season, the committee seemed more impressed with the Horned Frogs’ body of work, and dropped Baylor down to the number 6 seed. Next up for the Bears is the season finale as the Kansas State Wildcats come to Waco for a crucial conference game, and tickets are available starting at $128. Should one of the top 4 seeds manage to lose, a strong showing by quarterback Bryce Petty and company will go a long way towards vaulting the team back into the playoff picture.
11/26/14 - An elite team in college football right now is the Baylor Bears. To date, they have only lost once, sporting an 8-1 record. They are the 7th ranked team in the nation, and they are hoping to keep their winning ways alive in hopes of winning a national championship. Their latest victory last weekend was over Oklahoma. The final score ended up being 48-14, and it was never even really close. A huge reason for their success was because Shock Linwood. He went on to rush for 87 yards and tacked on 2 touchdowns. 11/18/14 - Currently sitting with a record of 8-1, the Baylor Bears Football team is doing well, but still hoping for key losses around the league to complement their upcoming win against the Oklahoma Cowboys. Ranking 1st in overall points, and 3rd in their passing yards, Baylor is in a great position to do some damage this Saturday. The Cowboys are 5-5 which should be good news for a great ranking team like the Bears, but the last thing Oklahoma will want is to slip into a losing record.
