Auburn Tigers Football 2014 News and Updates

7/20/14 – SEC media days have just wrapped up, but one important Auburn Tigers Football player wasn’t in attendance. Starting quarterback Nick Marshall did not appear at the two-day event following his citation for possession of a controlled substance on Friday. The QB will only need to pay a small fine for his transgression, and has not met suspension as of now. Tight end CJ Uzomah took place of Marshall at media days last week, leaving coach Gus Malzahn to “address it with [Marshall] accordingly.” Score Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Auburn Tigers Football tickets to see the QB focus his efforts on the field.

6/25/14 – The Auburn Tigers no longer have the luxury of being the underestimated dark horse like last season. Instead, they are the team to beat, and face a blistering schedule in 2014. Even though the Tigers are in for some brutal stretches, with eight games against bowl teams, their offense is expected to be even better than last year alongside a much-improved defense. Auburn will face four SEC teams in as many weeks, starting October 25 against South Carolina, followed by Ole Miss and Texas A&M. At the tail end of the stretch lies back-to-back SEC road games at Georgia and Alabama. The key would be getting off to a rolling start on the year and carrying the victorious momentum over into competitions with real contenders. Get Auburn Tigers tickets and see if Gus Malzhan and company can lock in an encore despite their tough schedule!

Guz Malsahn’s run-first offense proved the perfect complement to his athletically gifted QB, with a new artillery of playmaking weapons to further improve Marshall’s throwing. Other great talents with one year of Malsahn’s game under their belts are WR Sammie Coates, DT Gabe Wright and four offensive linemen. The are eight spots left to fill on both sides of the ball, with competition getting ready to heat up as summer rolls around. 2/4/14 - The Auburn Tigers may not have taken home the national title, but they certainly made memories that will last a lifetime. After a 2012 season in which they didn’t win a single SEC game, 2013 was chock-full of comebacks and miracle moments that almost saw Auburn achieve the greatest resurgence in the history of college football. Finishing 12-2, upsetting No.1 Alabama, winning the SEC championship and playing in the final BCS National Championship ever, the Tigers were nothing short of supernatural. Heisman Trophy finalist and heart of the offense, RB Tre Mason, has decided to skip his senior year and enter the NFL Draft, as well as No.2 OL in the nation, Greg Robinson. There are 21 total commits to Auburn, with a number of five-star prospects, including WR D’haquille Williams, RB Tre Williams and star RB Roc Thomas, with 9 four-star recruits. All of last year’s magic happened under first-year head coach Gus Malzahn, what does this team have in store for us next year?

2013 Season

11/1/13 – The Tigers BCS title game hopes are still alive despite one loss to their name. Auburn is red-hot of late, winning four in a row including a victory over the then, #7 Texas A&M Aggies. They’ll have to get to the SEC title game first, which means they’ll need wins over division foes Arkansas and No. 1 Alabama to close out the season. Can the Tigers pull of a 2010-esque end-of-the-year win over cross-state rival Alabama in the Iron Bowl? As excitement builds, the cheapest Alabama vs. Auburn tickets at Jordan Hare Stadium continue to rise in price (now $213).
