12/8/15 - The points and votes have been tallied and the committee has decided to send Oklahoma State and Ole Miss to face off against each other at the Sugar Bowl. 12/31/14 - A highly anticipated bowl game this year is the Sugar Bowl, which features two of the nation’s best teams in college football. This year’s matchup is Ohio State and Alabama. Both of these teams have a rich history of winning titles, so it should be a fun one from start to finish. For Ohio State, a lot of their success has been predicated on the success of J.T. Barrett. He has stepped up big for Ohio State, throwing for 2834 yards with 34 touchdowns. If they want to win, Barrett needs to look sharp early. Alabama, yet again, is looking to win a national championship. Nick Saban just seems to have the right formula for winning. 12/22/14 - This year, the Sugar Bowl features an exciting game between Alabama and Ohio State. It seems like Nick Saban’s team is always finding their way into the National Championship game, and he’s hoping this year is no different. They are coming into this game with a 12-1 record, and the only team that gave them a hard time was Arkansas. For them to win, they need to maintain a balanced attack, with Blake Sims starting the game off strong. Ohio State has had a stellar season, and are coming into this game sporting a 12-1 record as well. This year it pits the 12-1 Alabama Crimson Tide against the 12-1 Ohio State Buckeyes. Alabama is a perennial contender and talented quarterback Blake Sims was one of the Heisman finalists. Ohio State, despite losing its second Hesiman-hopeful quarterback, completely dominated the Wisconsin Badgers 59-0 in the Big Ten Championship. Led by championship MVP Cardale Jones, the resilient Buckeyes moved up to No. 4 in the CFP rankings, earning the final spot in the first ever College Football Playoff. Alabama or Ohio State will play the the Florida State/Oregon Rose Bowl winner.
