Pac 12 2016 News and Updates
12/1/15 - After a dozen grueling games, the Pac 12 Football Championship is set. It’ll be the Stanford Cardinal taking on USC’s Trojans for the right to claim tops overall in this year’s Pac 12 conference. Stanford’s regular season record trumps that of USC on all fronts, including overall (10-2 compared to 8-4) and conference-based (8-1 to 6-3). What that means in the big game—if anything—remains to be seen, however. The winner will still need a little help in order to get a nod for the College Football Playoffs this year, but for now they’re surely focused only on the game ahead. Get your tickets for Levi’s Stadium today starting at $29 each!
11/26/15 - Stanford is celebrating some huge milestones after a Saturday night win over California. Christian McCaffrey ran for nearly 200 yards and even earned himself a school record with 389 all-purpose yards in the team’s sixth straight win over the Bears. Stanford has not only earned itself a spot in the Pac 12 football championship game, but have also kept their playoff hopes alive. If they can beat No. 5 Notre Dame this Saturday and the championship game a week later, they have a fair shot at the playoffs. The title game is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The Cardinals do not yet know which team they will face.
11/19/15 - Oregon may have killed Stanford’s chances for a CFP berth, but the Pac 12 Football Championship is still squarely in the Cardinal’s sights. The two top teams from the north traded leads throughout the contest, with the Ducks carrying a 12-point advantage into the fourth quarter. Stanford rallied late and had a chance to tie it in the final seconds, but a failed two-point conversion send the Cardinal to the first loss of the season. Who will ultimately represent the Pac-12 on December 5th in the big game? That remains to be seen—but you don’t need to wait to lock up your tickets for Levi’s Stadium! Get your seats now as low as $19!
11/12/15 - With a 7-0 mark in conference competition, Stanford’s looking like a pretty likely candidate for the Pac 12 Football Championship. No other team on the north side has suffered fewer than two defeats against Pac-12 squads, with both Oregon and Washington State going 4-2 thus far. In the south, the Utah Utes hold a 5-1 conference record, good for tops over UCLA and USC, each with four wins and two losses. Will these standings hold up after three weeks when the title game finally rolls around? You can find out firsthand with tickets for Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara! Seats are on sale now and they’re available as low as $22 if you act fast!
12/2/14 - Oregon will meet Arizona in the 2014 Pac 12 Championship game on Friday night at Levis Stadium in Santa Clara, CA. If the Ducks win, they'll likely be selected to play in the first College Football Playoff. Although Oregon has been nearly unbeatable all season, Arizona beat them 42-16 last year. Arizona Wildcats and Oregon Ducks fans looking score last minute Pac 12 Championship tickets will find the best selection of eTickets from $20.
11/26/14 - A lot of good teams are coming out of the Pac 12 this season, and last week was a showcase for many teams. One of the top performers last weekend was Oregon, the number two team in the nation right now. They played Colorado, beating them with a final score of 44-10. It wasn’t close at any point, which was partly because of the stellar play from quarterback Marcus Mariota. He’s destined for great things this season. Another top performer was UCLA, the number nine team in the nation. Taking on USC, they wanted to put on a show. They did just that, winning with a final score of 38-20. Arizona State (13th in the nation) also pulled away with a 52-31 victory against Washington State. Next week promises to be a memorable one for this conference. Tickets for the championship game can be bought now, starting out at $66.
11/18/14 - After the eleventh week of college football, contenders to play for the Pac 12 Football Championship have emerged. The North division is assured to send the Oregon Ducks to the Conference Championship game at Levi’s stadium on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 6pm, PST. The Ducks are on a bye week, but clinched an appearance in the Conference Championship game the week prior by handily beating the Utah Utes 51-27. Oregon faces Colorado then Oregon State before the Conference Championship game in December, all of which will determine whether or not they will appear in the inaugural national playoffs post season as well. The Pac 12 South Division is more up in the air. UCLA, AZ, ASU, Utah, and USC are all still in contention to represent the South Division in the Conference Championship game. Overall, Pac 12 football stock is on the rise, along with top 25 national rankings for the top Pac 12 schools.
11/13/2014 – While Oregon clinched the Pac 12 North with a victory over Utah, the race for the Pac 12 South is heating up. Arizona State, UCLA, USC and Arizona all sit within a half-game of each other for the opportunity to play Oregon on December 6, and there are plenty of compelling matchups left on the schedule. Two in-state rivalry games should bring clarity to the division race when UCLA plays USC on November 22 (tickets from $104) and Arizona State takes on Arizona on November 29 (tickets from $118). Other key matchups include UCLA against Stanford (tickets from $35) and the traditional contest between USC and Notre Dame (tickets from $104). This year’s Pac 12 Football Championship takes place at the brand-new Levis Stadium in Santa Clara and tickets start at $71.
9/2/14 - Pac-12 Conference play begins this week, can you predict who will take the North and South crowns after Week 1? Will Stanford and Arizona State have another go at each other, or will Heisman hopefuls Marcus Mariota of Oregon and Brett Hundley of UCLA duel on the gridiron? An unprecedented six Pac-12 teams grace the preseason Top 25 polls for a shot at the national title, making this year's group the best and most competitive football teams the NCAA has ever seen.
If the 2014-2015 season is anticipated to be the Pac-12 Conference's best yet, why not hold the Championship Game at one of the latest and greatest stadiums in the country? In the first year of the College Football Playoff, the Pac 12 Football Championship Game will be held at the state-of-the-art Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, CA on December 5. This neutral field location is opposed to previous years which saw the championship game staged at the home of the team with the better conference record. Watch national title contenders duke it out in the heart of Silicon Valley, and buy your Pac-12 Championship tickets now!
12/4/13 – Different from the other major conferences, the location of the Pac 12 Football Championship is not played on a neutral field. Instead, the team with the best conference record hosts the title game. Following ASU’s rout over in-state rival Arizona Saturday, the Sun Devils earned home-field advantage as they finished with an 8-1 Pac-12 record (beating Stanford’s 7-2 finish). The cheapest Pac-12 Football Championship ticket at Sun Devil Stadium is $52, about half the price had the game been played in Palo Alto. A win for Stanford would mean a second straight appearance in the “Granddaddy of Them All” while a trip to Pasadena would be the first for the Sun Devils since 1997. During the regular season, the two programs matched up and Stanford got the win at home (42-28); but everything can change in front of a home crowd. The Pac-12 Football Championship was the only Conference title game that was cheaper this year, than last; down 30% in price.
11/25/13 – The Stanford Cardinal (North) will play for their second straight Pac-12 Football Championship in two weeks against the ASU Sun Devils (South). Both teams secured a division win Saturday with an Oregon loss and a win over UCLA respectively. The site of the Conference Championship game is TBD; if Arizona State wins against intrastate rival Arizona this week, the Sun Devils will host the title game. The winner of the Pac-12 Championship game will earn a Rose Bowl berth
10/24/13- Amid a raucous midseason of college football, Pac 12 Championship projections figure many big names in close contention for the conference title. This Saturday, two teams will go head-to-head in what some are calling a Pac 12 Championship Game preview: the UCLA Bruins (defending South division champs, and runner-ups the last two seasons) are on the road to play the undefeated Oregon Ducks, top contenders for the BCS Championship Game, steered by leading Heisman candidate Marcus Mariota. After last week’s loss, the Bruins have fallen to number two in the South, just under Arizona State.
In the North lie defending champions, the Stanford Cardinal, whose unrelenting defense gutted the Bruins last week, virtually destroying their BCS title hopes. This week, they are pitted against worthy opponents, the Oregon State Beavers and an outstanding offense looking for their seventh consecutive win.
With many future NFL players on the field, the Pac 12 is always one of the most exciting championships in college football. Will Stanford take on the UCLA Bruins to defeat them in their 3rd straight appearance? Will Oregon stay the course and meet the Crimson Tide for the national title? At midseason, every game is do-or-die; do not miss out on the action to see the team that will represent the Pac 12 Conference at the Rose Bowl or possibly the BCS Championship!
7/2/13 - The 2013 Pac 12 Football Championship game will be the third annual title game for the Pac 12 conference, conceived after the addition of Colorado Buffaloes Football and Utah Utes Football to the Pac 10. The previous two winners of the championship, Oregon Ducks Football two years ago and Stanford Cardinal Football last season, will once again be the favorites to win the Pac 12 North and host the game. The Stanford vs. Oregon football matchup in Palo Alto on 11/7, averaging $146, will go a long way in determining the Pac 12 North Champion. Oregon ends its season at home against rival Oregon State Beavers Football on 11/29. The Civil War matchup is the most expensive Pac 12 conference game this season, with an average price of $256.
Defending Pac 12 South Champion UCLA Bruins Football travels to face the Cardinal in a Pac 12 Championship rematch on 10/19, averaging $70. The Bruins will face tough competition in their hopes to win a third straight Pac 12 South title. Rival USC Trojans Football are once again eligible for postseason play and will attempt to reach their first Pac 12 Football Championship game. This year’s cross-town rivalry game for Los Angeles and possible Pac 12 South supremacy comes on 11/30 and is averaging $197. Improving Pac 12 teams, including Washington Huskies Football, Arizona State Sun Devils Football, and Arizona Wildcats Football, will look for a surprise run to the 2013 Pac 12 Championship in December.
