Pac 12 Tournament News – 2013 Pac 12 Updates
The 2013 Pac-12 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament will be played March 13th through the 16th at the MGM Grand Hotel Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It will be the first year (of a three year term) that
MGM Grand will host the Pac-12 Tournament. The past 11 years, the Pac-12 Tournament has been held at the
Staples Center in Los Angeles; this year, the Staples Center will host the
NCAA West Regional Championship.
All 12 teams in the conference will play in the tournament; the top 4 teams earn a bye into the quarterfinals. The winner of the 2013 Pac-12 Conference Tournament receives an automatic bid to the
2013 NCAA Tournament. Pac-12 Tournament tickets are currently starting at $380 for All Sessions.
In 2011, the Pac-12 added two teams — the University of Colorado Boulder and the University of Utah. In their first year in the Conference, the 2011-2012
Colorado Buffaloes Men's Basketball Team won the 2012 Pac-12 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament and advanced to the 2012 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. The Oregon Ducks currently sit atop the 2013 Pac-12 standings, with the Arizona Wildcats and UCLA Bruins 2nd and 3rd. There are only three weeks left in the season, and all three teams have a shot at the #1 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament; Oregon won't have to play either of the two other schools down the stretch, while UCLA will host Arizona on March 2nd.
