3/26/15 - It'll be a rematch of last year's Elite 8 matchup when Arizona plays Wisconsin on Saturday in the West Regional Final at Staples Center. Wisconsin rallied to beat the Tar Heels, while Arizona outlasted Xavier. Both teams needed strong 2nd-half runs to win tonight. In last year's matchup, Wisconsin beat Arizona 64-63. This year the Wildcats are favored by 1.5 points.
3/22/15 - Arizona fans won't have to travel far to see the Wildcats play Xavier in the 2015 West Regional at Staples Center. Zona dominated Ohio State by 15, while the Musketeers knocked out tournament Cinderella Georgia State. Xavier coach Chris Mack worked under Arizona coach Sean Miller when both were at X. Arizona vs Xavier starts at 7:17 pm in Los Angeles. In the other West Regional game on Thursday, North Carolina plays No. 1 seed Wisconsin at 4:47 pm. The relentless Tar Heels won over Arkansas by 9, while Wisconsin, who had its hands full with Oregon, prevailed by 7.
3/15/15 - Wisconsin has landed the No. 1 seed in the West Region (Los Angeles), which also includes No. 2 Arizona, No. 3 Baylor and No. 4 North Carolina. Wisconsin defeated Arizona 64-63 in last year's West Regional final in Anaheim. Both teams could meet again in the 2015 NCAA Tournament West Regional in Los Angeles.
3/11/15 - The NCAA West Regional tournament, which takes place in Los Angeles, is shaping up quite nicely. An early favorite who could appear in this bracket is Villanova. This team ended their season with a 29-2 record and was ranked 4th in the country. The Wildcats are not only dynamic on offense, but their defense is stellar. In order for them to shine in the tournament, Darrun Hilliard II needs to look sharp. He averaged 14.2 points per game in the regular season, and in order for Villanova to come out on top in their first game, Hilliard needs to set the tempo early. Another team that has a lot of promise in the western bracket is Arizona. The Wildcats have a lot of talented players who can score in bunches, such as Stanley Johnson and Brandon Ashley. The 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball West Regional Championship is coming to Los Angeles. Staples Center and Pepperdine University have partnered to host the West Regional, which includes Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight play. West Regional dates are March 28 and 30, 2013.
