NCAA West Regional - Anaheim 2016 News and Updates
3/20/16 - Oregon survived St. Joseph's and is the fourth No. 1 seed to advance to next week's Sweet Sixteen. The West is actually the only region with all four top seeds advancing. Oregon will play Duke in one game at the West Regional in Anaheim. In the other West Regional game it's Oklahoma vs Texas A&M. They're the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds respectively and were Big 12 rivals before the Aggies left for the SEC.
3/13/16 - Top seeds in the West Regional - Anaheim hoping to make the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight include Oregon (1), Oklahoma (2), Texas A&M (3) and Duke (4). Oregon is ready to dance after winning the Pac 12 tournament over the weekend and Oklahoma's Buddy Hield should provide more than one shining moment.
3/11/16 - California has a lot of great basketball games to offer during the early months of the year with all of the NBA teams housed there. The ’15 tourney saw No. 1 Wisconsin and No. Arizona advance to the Elite 8 by taking down North Carolina and Xavier, respectively. No. 1 seeded Arizona will take on the No. 4 seeded San Diego State after both teams showed defensive muscle in their respective routs over Gonzaga and North Dakota State. Sean Miller's team has seemingly breezed by the competition up until this point, but can the Wildcats get through the next two rounds so easily? 3/18/14 - Since Selection Sunday came and went, prices for the NCAA West Regional have surprisingly dropped in get-in price, but they're still some of the hottest on the market! An All Sessions pass that will get you into both action packed days start at $201 (less $32), costing you about $67 a game in Terrace level. If you're looking to attend just one of the rounds, Session 1 tickets start at $117 and Session 2 tickets start at $100. After Selection Sunday, the top teams in the West are No. 1 seed Arizona, No.2 seed Wisconsin, No. 3 seed Creighton and No. 4 seed San Diego State. 3/12/14 – With Arizona and San Diego State expected to advance to the Sweet 16 and play in the West, NCAA Tournament tickets in Anaheim have jumped in price in the last month. With 1200 All-Session tickets remaining on the secondary ticket market, the cheapest seat is up 7 percent ($233) but the most expensive has remained $1494. There are 1215 Session 1 (Sweet 16) tickets left and the cheapest today is $123 (up $5) in the last 28 days. To watch the Elite Eight at the Honda Center, you’ll pay a minimum $110, the only Anaheim tickets to see a drop in price.
2/14/14 - Anaheim, 30 minutes south of Los Angeles (site of 2013 West Regional), will host the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time since 1998. The Big West Conference will take charge of the Regional event March 27 and 29 at the Honda Center, home of the Anaheim Ducks. The NCAA West Regional attracts Southern California basketball fans as well as participating team’s fan bases for the two day, three game event. The atmosphere inside the 18,000 plus arena, will be electric as four teams compete for their chance to play in the Final Four.
Both winners of the Spokane third round, in addition to one of the winners from the San Diego and San Antonio third round, will face off in Anaheim for the Sweet 16 (Session 1). Session 1 on Thursday, March 27 includes action from all four, third round winners (two games). Session 1 tickets in Anaheim range from $118 - $897. Expect prices to jump if No.2 Arizona or No.5 San Diego State make the Sweet 16 (as expected) and play in the West Regional. The two winners of Sweet 16 play on Thursday will advance to the Elite Eight (Session 2) on Saturday March 29. Session 2 tickets in Anaheim also start at $118, but only one game will be played during the final session at the Honda Center. All-Session tickets in Anaheim (3 games) cost anywhere from $217 – 1494 (savings of at least $19). The winner of the Elite 8 will advance to the Final Four in Dallas, TX.
The 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball West Regional Championship is coming to Los Angeles. Celebrating 75 years of March Madness, the Staples Center in partnership with Pepperdine University will host the West Regional which includes Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight play. West Regional dates are March 28 and 30, 2013.
