3/11/14 – Will we see a shocker in St. Louis? While Wichita State may not get the overall No.1 seed despite their perfect regular-season record (34-0), they should end up with one of the other No.1s. Kansas, who captured its tenth straight regular-season Big 12 Championship, will likely get the No.2 nod here. With some of the best talent expected to play at the Sprint Center next week (Kentucky is a potential option), don’t wait to punch your tickets to the tourney! 490 tickets remain for the taking as St. Louis tourney All-Session tickets start at $232 and reach $1345 for a front row seat. Sunday’s third round tickets start at $100, up five percent since the beginning of February.
Two years ago, St. Louis and the now, #13 Saint Louis University, hosted the Midwest Regional at Edward Jones Dome and impressed the governing body so much that it earned them 2014 hosting duties. St. Louis, also a former Final Four host, will be one of eight sites to head second and third round play in the 2014 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. It is just the second time in tourney history that St. Louis has hosted the opening round. The Scottrade Center, home of the St. Louis Blues, will be the locale to watch all the action from College’s best, as the teams participating try to advance and move on. Which teams will play in the St. Louis’ second and third rounds? We’ll find out March 16 during Selection Sunday! Headquartered in the city of St. Louis, Missouri Valley Conference, will act as host.
On Friday, March 21, four games (2 sessions) will be played at the Scottrade Center. St. Louis single session tickets are available: Session 1 tickets for Friday’s earlier session ($52 get-in) are cheaper than Session 2 ($65 get-in). The four winners from the second round will advance to the third round to be played Sunday, March 23 also at the Scottrade Center. Session 3, or the third round of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, will also feature two games. The third round winners will advance to Regional play and the (very) Sweet 16 in Memphis or Indianapolis! Session 3 tickets in St. Louis range from $95-$449. All-Session tickets, that includes six games, are available from $203, one of the cheapest in the Country for tournament play!
