No. 11 UCLA overpowered bracket-buster UAB to reach the Sweet 16 for a second consecutive year. Tony Parker led the Bruins with 28 points. UCLA will have its hands full with No. 2 Gonzaga, who blew out Iowa 87-68. Gonzaga vs UCLA tips off at 5:15 pm in Houston, where one of the two west coast teams in the South Regional will advance to the Elite 8 on Sunday. Another Pac 12 basketball team, Utah, who took out Georgetown by 11, will play Duke at NRG Stadium. Duke walloped San Diego State and is the favorite to make the 2015 Final Four out of the South.

3/15/15 - Duke is the only No. 1 seed in the 2015 NCAA Tournament to not have won its conference tournament. Still, the Blue Devils will be a handful as the top seed in the South Region (Houston). Other teams chasing Duke in the South are No. 2 Gonzaga, No. 3 Iowa State and No. 4 Georgetown. One of the best 2nd-3rd Round matchups in the South Region will be SMU vs UCLA. SMU won the AAC, but the Bruins have been playing better as of late, even challenging Arizona in the Pac 12 tournament.

3/11/15 - There are a lot of well-rounded teams this year in the NCAA South Regional bracket. Perhaps one of the most talented teams is Duke, who has the chance to win it all. The leading scorer for the Blue Devils this season was Jahil Okafor, who averaged 17.6 points per game. He’s going to give a lot of teams trouble in the playoffs, especially in regards to his post-up game. Gonzaga has shocked a lot of people throughout the regular season, ending their season with a 31-2 record. Kyle Wiltjer and Kevin Pangos do a lot of things offensively for the Bulldogs. They will be hoping their stellar play can take them far in the south bracket. Tickets are available now for this tournament with a starting price of $169.

1/29/15 - The college basketball season is beginning to wind down as we turn the calendar to February. At this point in the season, the tournament contenders are beginning to polish their resumes, fine tune their defensive practices, and get ready for the Madness. Elite squads like the Kentucky Wildcats, the Virginia Cavaliers, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs are already playing like it’s March. College basketball fans around the country are beginning to prepare as well. Make sure that you stay ahead of the pack by purchasing your tickets to the NCAA South Regional in Houston today.
