11/19/14 - Ohio State Buckeyes basketball fans were in for a treat Tuesday night as the Buckeyes beat the Marquette University Golden Eagles 74-63 before an enthusiastic crowd at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus. With both teams heading into Tuesday’s matchup with a 1-0 record, the Buckeyes used a 12-2 run early on in the game to take the lead for good. There was no looking back from there, with Ohio State’s Kam Williams scoring 15 points and teammate Shannon Scott adding a career-best 14 assists to lead the no. 20 Buckeyes past Marquette. The Buckeyes face the Sacred Heart University Pioneers next Sunday, November 23, at the Schottenstein Center in the first of four games that are part of the Buckeye Classic. Tickets for the 7pm game range from $4 to $337.
11/13/14 - This Friday will be Ohio State Buckeyes Basketball team’s first game of the season. Their opponents will be the Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks on Ohio State’s home court in Columbus. They have only four new recruits (Mickey Mitchell, Austin Grandstaff, Daniel Giddens and A.J. Harris), but Buckeyes’ coach, Thad Matta , is very confident in their performance, “All four guys have won and have won at a very high level. I think there's an art to winning, and that's why we got them” Ohio State’s team is currently rated No. 7 in the nation. This week’s game still has tickets available starting as low as $3. The Buckeyes are looking at a mostly home game season, so there are plenty of chances to catch them play.
2/7/14 – After a disappointing 2-4 start to begin Conference play, the Ohio State Buckeyes appear to be getting back on track. Two recent road wins against top 20 teams – No.14 Wisconsin and No.17 Iowa - has helped morale in the locker room after being unranked for the first time in four years. More than halfway through Big Ten play, the Buckeyes will play five of their remaining eight at Schottenstein Center including a rivalry game against No.10 Michigan Wolverines and the season-finale versus No.9 Michigan State. Surprisingly, Michigan Wolverines vs. Ohio State Basketball tickets are the cheapest of remaining home games, averaging just $43 with a get-in price of $15.
1/2/14 - The Ohio State Buckeyes are heading into conference play with a flawless 13-0 start. Coach Thad Matta and the No. 3 Buckeyes will ride this momentum into talented Big Ten games looking to come out on top as conference champs for the 6th time during Matta’s tenure. Their first B1G conference game came New Years Eve against the Purdue Boilermakers, where Ohio State’s unyielding defense—ranked in the top five in the nation—pinned down their foes 78-69. See them take on rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, for only $40 at the Schottenstein Center as they try and climb ahead of Arizona and Syracuse in ranking. With this year’s squad, laden with an impressive group of veteran players, the B1G title is a foreseeable outcome!
10/25/13 - The Ohio State Buckeyes are leading contenders from the Big Ten, being one of two teams to have made a NCAA Tournament run every decade since the 1930s. Under coach Thad Matta, the Buckeyes have twice contended in the Sweet 16, once in the Final 4, and finished as runner-ups for the Big Ten (in the Elite 8) last season. Ohio has a great chance spearheading the Big Ten Tournament this year, with numerous senior players returning to provide the experience so necessary in games.

The Buckeyes are another elitist team left with a couple gaping holes, due to players leaving for the NBA, namely Deshaun Thomas (19.5 point average) and Evan Ravenel. But watch out for point guard Aaron Craft, a leading defender in the league, and now Ohio’s number one scorer. He will look to make even more moves as a seasoned senior, working in tandem with Lenzelle Smith Jr., highest rebound points and second highest scorer on the team, and LaQuinton Ross, a major threat on offense. Key newcomers will be Marc Loving and Kameron Williams.
