NCAA Men's Basketball Teams

NCAA Basketball 2015-2016 News and Updates

2/4/16 - It’s tough when megastar talent is saddled on a mediocre team, but such is often life in the world of NCAA Basketball. While standouts Buddy Hield and Brice Johnson are enjoying dominant seasons for Oklahoma and North Carolina respectively, arguably the game’s biggest rising star is part of a team unranked by the Associated Press. LSU’s Ben Simmons has drawn comparisons to LeBron James for his all-around game and unselfish mindset on offense, and there’s a very good chance he’ll be drafted with the No. 1 pick in next year’s NBA draft. The question is whether he’ll be able to elevate his team come tournament time. NCAA Basketball tickets are on sale now—get yours today!

1/28/16 - One of the startling stories in NCAA Basketball this year has been the struggles of Duke following their 14-2 start. The Blue Devils have dropped four of their last five contests, including three straight at one stretch. While certainly frustrating for the players and Coach K, they can take some amount of solace in knowing that only one loss—to No. 15 Miami—came by more than five points. Of course, college hoops is a haven for upsets, marked by two of Thursday’s top matchups which saw unranked Syracuse take down No. 25 Notre Dame and No. 3 Iowa falling to eighth-ranked Maryland. There’s still plenty of exciting college ball to come before the tourney—get your tickets today!

1/21/16 - It has been another stunning week of NCAA Basketball, and with four of the top six teams taking losses, there’s been a definite shakeup in the rankings. Kansas, last week’s No. 1 team, was knocked down Tuesday evening by Oklahoma State and now sits at No. 3. Their top spot has been given to Oklahoma, who also took a tough loss against No. 19 Iowa State on Monday. This week’s No. 2 spot goes to North Carolina, previously ranked fifth. They moved up after beating Wake Forest Wednesday evening with a final score of 83-68. Rounding out the top five are No. 4 Villanova and No. 5 Xavier, who moved up from No. 6 and No. 7, respectively.

1/14/16 - Last year’s Kentucky Wildcats appeared unstoppable in NCAA Basketball for most of the year. In 2016, they’ve been stopped three times already, leaving them sitting at No. 14 after the first month-plus of the season. It has been the Kansas Jayhawks topping the college ranks thus far, their 14-1 overall record earning them top honors over No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 Maryland and No. 4 Michigan State. North Carolina, Villanova and Xavier round out the top eight, which has shuffled the deck from last year but otherwise includes mostly well known programs in men’s basketball. What that picture will look like in two months’ time is a whole different story. Get your NCAA Basketball tickets today!
