Detroit should also benefit from the maturation of young, promising frontcourt players Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond. The two most expensive games at The Palace of Auburn Hills this season come on 12/8 and 3/28 against the defending champion Heat.
3/8/2013 - If the Detroit Pistons can keep their young core intact there may be big things in the future. Second year guard Brandon Knight continues to develop and third year big man Greg Monroe looks like an All Star caliber player already. Adding Jose Calderon from the Toronto Raptors helps with depth, and there have been positive contributions of first year players Kyle Singler and Andre Drummond. Now the Pistons have a young group of players to build on and some solid role players in the mix. Combined with relatively new ownership, Detroit's future appears bright and they look to be heading in the right direction.

If the Pistons can develop their young roster into a Championship team, interest in the team should continue to increase.
