Dallas Mavericks News – 2013 Mavericks Updates

The 2013 Dallas Mavericks may not look like the 2011 version of the squad that won the NBA Championship and their collective beard length may be longer than any team in the Mark Cuban era (the players have vowed to grow out their facial hair until the team gets above .500), but they clearly aren't giving up on postseason play just yet. Since Cuban purchased a majority of the stake in the Dallas Mavericks from H. Ross Perot Jr. in 2000, the team has won two Division titles, two Conference Championships, and one NBA Championship. Currently sitting in 11th place in the Western Conference standings, the Mavs need Dirk Nowitzki healthy, more scoring from OJ Mayo and their sixth man Vince Carter, and leadership from their young starting point guard Darren Collison in order to have a chance at a 2013 NBA Playoff berth.

At the beginning of the season, Dallas Mavericks tickets were the ninth most expensive home and away ticket; averaging $117 per ticket at home and $116 on the road. The team's average price for a regular season game is just $1 more than the average NBA ticket on the secondary market. Following the All-Star break, you'll find cheap Mavericks tickets; the average cost is now only $82. Upcoming home games on the Maverick’s schedule include the (second most expensive game of the season) Lakers on 2/24 (avg. ticket $188), the Thunder on 3/17 (avg. ticket $130), and the Suns on 4/10 (avg. ticket $73).
