Philadelphia Phillies 2016 News and Updates

2015 Season

9/24/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies broke their six game losing streak with a 6-2 win over the Marlins in the first of three games on September 22. This was Aaron Harang's first win since July 30, and he went for seven innings and only allowed two runs. Cody Asche had two home runs and Darin Rufin also had a homer. Freddy Galvis had a two-run single in the second inning. Unfortunately, the Phillies were unable to continue the winning momentum and lost to the Marlins the next day. This week, the Phillies announced that Pete Mackanin will be the manager next season after serving as interim since Ryne Sandbert stepped down in June. You still have a chance to see the Phillies play, including their final game against the Marlins in the current series. Ticket prices start at just $6.

9/17/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies' most recent series of home games proved to be a challenge. They did manage to win three time, including half of the games against the Chicago Cubs, but the Phillies struggled, especially against the Washington Nations, who remained undefeated in their set. This brings their totals for the season to 56-91, and puts them fifth in their division. The Philadelphia Phillies are now heading out on the road for an away series, but they will return on September 29th. This will be their final home series of the entire season, which means only six home games remain. If you are hoping to catch the Phillies in action sometime this year, this is your last chance. Tickets for their first game home start at just $14.

9/10/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies had a very difficult time last week as they were traveling around in their away series, but they are back in Philadelphia now. It is still too early to tell how they will do on their own field. They have lost their first and third games back against the Atlanta Braves, but they also managed to shut them out in their second matchup. This home series could go either way and fans are hoping the Phillies are able to improve their performance and rack up some victories. They have two sets remaining before hitting the road again, including four matches with the Chicago Cubs. If you want to catch some excitement this coming week, there are plenty of opportunities for you to come out for a ball game.

9/4/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies have had a rough season and their record shows it. Coming in last place in the NL Eastern division, the Phillies have won only 53 games and lost 81 games. Things were starting to look a little less grim when they beat the New York Mets with authority on September 1. However, the Mets quickly answered the next day and took the Phillies to town with a 9-4 win. It was early on in the game that the Mets set the precedence, scoring six runs in the first three innings. The Phillies did their best to catch up, but the Mets continued to score and were able to hold the Phillies to only four runs during the game. Don’t miss your chance to watch the Phillies wrap up their season.

8/26/15 - After winning three games in a row, the Philadelphia Phillies have found themselves with two consecutive losses against the Mets. In the first game, the Mets dominated the Phillies to win 16-7, even though the Phillies had an early lead. The next night was a closer match. The Mets got on the board first, with a two run first inning. However, the Phillies came back in the third with four runs to take the lead. They gave it up in the sixth when the Mets scored three runs. They tried to rally but were unable to get more than one run. The two teams meet twice more on the 26th and 27th, and then the Phillies host the Padres for a three game series starting on the 28th. You can still get your tickets, with prices starting at $15.

8/21/15 - Facing the hottest offense in baseball is not usually an enviable task, especially for a last-place team. It was no problem for the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday afternoon, as the underdogs put away the Blue Jays 7-3 for their 47th win of the season. With veteran star Chase Utley evidently headed out of town, the Phillies turned to their younger talent to secure the victory, getting three runs in the bottom of the first before breaking it open in the fifth. Toronto would add on in the eighth, but Philadelphia’s seven runs were too much even for the Jays to fight back from. The Phillies will host the New York Mets beginning Monday the 24th, and you can get tickets today—seats start at $19 each!

8/13/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies were on a roll when they began their away games, even performing better than they did on their own field. They managed to beat out the San Diego Padres in all three matchups, scoring four runs twice and five runs in the final game. However, the Phillies are having more trouble against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They have given up 13 runs in each of their matches with the Diamondbacks so far. Hopefully they will have more luck when they travel to Milwaukee to take on the Brewers. The Phillies will be on the road for the next two weeks, but they will be stopping back in Philadelphia to play two quick home games on the 18th and 19th. If you have been waiting for their return, this is your chance to catch them live.

8/6/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies have turned their season around to win eight of the last ten games. In their last four game series against the Braves, the Phillies won three. In the first night, they held the Braves to just one run. The next night, the Phillies came out swinging, scoring four runs in the first inning and five in the fifth to secure the 9-3 victory. The next night was another high scoring game for the Phillies, who got 12 runs. After losing the last game to the Braves, the Phillies won the first game in a three game series against the Dodgers, largely thanks to Maikel Franco's grand slam in the seventh. You can get tickets to see the teams play again on the fifth and sixth, with tickets starting at $27.

7/30/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies haven’t had the season they were hoping for. Pulling up the caboose in the NL Eastern Division the Phillies have a 34-63 losing record. Even though their season hasn’t been going their way, the Phillies have been able to put a stop to the long losing streaks recently. In the middle of July they were coming off of a five-game losing streak when they started their series against the Marlins. Being on home turf must have been good for the team because they swept the Marlins in three games. Their next series against the Rays was in the favor of the Phillies as well, leaving the Phillies with two more wins and a loss. See what they can pull off when they take on the Chicago Cubs this weekend.

7/23/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies haven’t had the season they were hoping for.

7/15/15 - The most recent away series really took its toll on the Philadelphia Phillies. Their last victory was on July 7th, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Through that set and the next, against the San Francisco Giants, the Phillies are now on a five-game losing streak. The good news is that the series is now over. The Phillies are returning to their own field, where they will hopefully be able to relax a little and put this losing streak to rest. They will host the Miami Marlins first, followed by the Tampa Bay Rays. The Phillies will be traveling to Chicago to take on the Cubs on July 24th, so be sure to catch them in action before then. You have six opportunities to see the Phillies live, so there is no reason to miss out.

7/9/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies have finally ended their losing streak. After taking six consecutive losses, they sure made their return to beating out the competition exciting. The Phillies were able to completely shut out the Braves before leaving Atlanta. Then they followed this victory up by earning seven runs in each of their next two games, however they were only able to win one. Most recently, the Phillies won against the Los Angeles Dodgers with 7-2. After taking on the Dodgers, the Phillies will still have to play the San Francisco Giants before returning to Philadelphia. Their big return will be on July 17th against the Miami Marlins. Tickets for that game are already available starting as low as $16. Secure your spot for the Phillies' homecoming today.

7/2/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies have their work cut out for them. They just finished up a rough set against the Milwaukee Brewers. Unfortunately, the Phillies were not able to get a win, which means they are currently on a five-game losing streak. This was their last set before hitting the road, so maybe playing on a fresh field will help them out. They will not return to Philadelphia until July 17th, so they need to get their game together now. Being in the last place for the NL Eastern Division, the Phillies cannot afford too many losses. They still have a chance to catch up, however. They are seven wins behind the Miami Marlins. Tickets for their homecoming game are now available starting as low as $18.

6/25/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies budding winning streak ended when they lost 10-2 against the Yankees on the 24th. However, the Phillies still took the series 2-1. In the first game, the Phillies beat the Yankees 11-8 in a game that not only was the season high for runs, but also for hits at 18. Maikel Franco was the MVP, going 4 for 5, hitting two homers, and bringing in five runs. The next night, the Phillies once again scored 11 runs, with Franco again having a strong game in the batter's box. He had a three run homer and hit a two-run double to break the tie. Andres Blanco's three run triple ensured the victory for the team. They head back home for a three game series against the Nationals starting June 26, with tickets as low as $17.

6/18/15 - After a nine-game losing streak, the Philadelphia Phillies picked up their fourth win in the month of June. In Thursday’s game against the Orioles, the Phillies scored two runs in the sixth, Ben Revere scored a run when Ryan Howard homered. The Phillies won, 2-1, but with their 23-45 record, they’re in last place in the NL. They need the support of their fans more than ever before. Over the weekend, the Phillies host the St. Louis Cardinals. Tickets for Saturday’s (6/20) game start at $16. You can get tickets for next weekend’s games against the Washington Nationals now to get the seats you want. Come out and join in the fun at Citizens Bank Park. Enjoy the camaraderie of the fans while you cheer for the home team.

6/8/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies have been unable to convert their game to a win in the last six games on the road, being taken down by the Cincinnati Reds in the two most recent games. Despite getting 11 hits to the Reds’ 13, the Phillies only earned two runs, and they fell to 16 games below .500 at 22-38. The last Phillies win (4-6) came against the Giants when they had the home field advantage. Pitcher Kenneth Giles picked up his second win of the season, but the Phillies couldn’t maintain the momentum when they went out on the road. The Phillies return to Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday (6/17) to host the Baltimore Orioles. Get your tickets starting at $14, and cheer on the home team to victory.

6/4/15 - After a seven-game losing streak, the Philadelphia Phillies put two games in the win column when they went against the Cincinnati Reds. In Wednesday’s game, the Reds’ pitcher erred in the 11th inning which Cody Asche took advantage of to earn the winning run for a final score of 4-5. With a 21-33 record, they’re still got a ways to go. The Phillies host the San Francisco Giants this weekend. Get tickets to Saturday’s (6/6) game starting at $16. Come out for an afternoon of fun and excitement in the stadium. Bring your family and friends to take full advantage of your time in the ballpark. Get out and see the Phillies before they go out on the road. Show them you believe in them and that they can turn their game around.

5/28/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies are on a four-game losing streak, unable to pick up any momentum in their game. To add to the insult, GM Ruben Amaro Jr. announced in an interview that the fans just “don’t understand the game.” Phillies’ fans will have to look past his comments and come out and enjoy the game and cheer their hometown team to help them get back on top of their game. This weekend, the Phillies host the Colorado Rockies, and tickets are still available, starting at $24 for the afternoon game on Saturday (5/30). Tickets for Sunday’s (5/31) start at $17. Once the Rockies leave, the Phillies host the Cincinnati Reds in a three-game series during the week. Come on down to Citizens Bank Park and show your support for the team.

5/22/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies' hard work is paying off. After racking up an incredible six game winning streak, the Phillies are now in the fourth position in the NL Eastern Division. They were able to remain undefeated against the Arizona Diamondbacks, even shutting them out of May 17th's game while scoring six runs. Unfortunately, their streak was ended in the second matchup against the Colorado Rockies when the Phillies were edged out in the eighth inning. They have a long way to go before they can return to their own field on May 29th, so hopefully Philadelphia can hold their own until then. They take on the Rockies again when they return, so we will see if the Phillies fare better with the home field advantage.

5/14/15 - Citizens Bank Park went wild as the Philadelphia Phillies picked up their second winning game against the Pirates in Thursday’s game. Ryan Howard homered in the fifth, putting the Phillies ahead by four. Although the Pirates picked up two runs in the ninth, with eight scoreless innings behind them, it wasn’t enough. The Phillies have a 13-23 record, but this could be the beginning of a rally to get out of fifth in the NL East. This weekend, the Phillies host the Arizona Diamondbacks before going on the road for ten games, so you’ll want to catch them before they leave town. Tickets for Sunday’s (5/17) game start at $14. There’s no better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than with your favorite home team in the ballpark!

5/6/15 - Philadelphia Phillies fans are finding little victories where they can. While it is disappointing to see the Phillies lose 0-9 against the Atlanta Braves right on the heels of losing 0-7 against the Miami Marlins, the Phillies are still getting some strong victories here and there. For instance, they managed to win 5-2 and 6-2 against the Braves and the Marlins in the middle of their disappointing losses to those same teams. If the Phillies could just manage to maintain a consistent level of play, they could be on their way to reaching a positive win/loss ratio, which they currently have 10-18. They are in the last position for the NL Eastern Division, but there are three teams tied just three wins above the Phillies, so they are definitely not out of the game.

4/28/15 - Before Monday’s night game, the Philadelphia Phillies were averaging 2.58 runs per game, the fourth-lowest average by a team since 1900. Cole Hamels pitched a winning game for the Phillies, and after picking up three runs in the seventh, the Phillies took the lead against the Cardinals. The final score of 4-1 gave the team a two-game winning streak. The Phillies are out on the road for ten games continuing in St. Louis, then Miami, and finishing up in Atlanta. They come home to Citizens Bank Park on Friday (5/8) for the start of a three-game series against the New York Mets. Don’t wait to get your tickets to grab the best seats in the ballpark. Prices start at $19. Come down and cheer for the home team!

4/23/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies finally broke their six game losing streak with a 5-3 victory over the Nationals on April 18. However, the Nationals took the series with three wins to the Phillies' one. Things continue to look good for the Phillies, as they began their three game series against the Marlins with a 3-7 win. The Phillies were the first on the board with a two run homer by Freddy Galvis in the second inning. The Marlins equalized, and with a two run homer by Ryan Howard in the sixth inning, the Phillies drew ahead. Ben Revere also drove in two runs with a triple in the seventh inning. The seven runs is a high for the team so far this season. The next match is on April 22, with tickets still available starting at $15.

4/17/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies are on a three-game losing streak, not finishing well in their last game against the Nationals (4-3) on Sunday, then the first two games against the Mets (0-2, 5-6). The Phillies are out on the road over the weekend with a four-game series against the Nationals in their home stadium. Next Tuesday (4/21), you’ll get to see the Phillies back in Citizens Bank Park when they host the Miami Marlins in the first of three games. Tickets start at just $19 for this evening game. Wednesday’s game is also in the evening, and it’s a great way to unwind after a long day in the office. On Thursday (4/23), the game is in the afternoon, so you’ll have to ditch work if you want to catch some baseball.

4/10/15 - In Monday’s game, on Opening Day 2015, the Philadelphia Phillies lost in a shutout against the Boston Red Sox 8-0. They came back on Wednesday to pick up a win against the Red Sox, (2-4). Both teams didn’t give up any runs until the Phillies took the lead with three runs in the sixth. They picked up another in the seventh. Even though the Red Sox gained two in the eighth, they couldn’t make up the deficit. Upcoming home games for the Phillies include weekend games against the Washington Nationals. Saturday (4/11) is an evening game, with tickets starting at $33. Sunday’s afternoon game has tickets $29 and up. Come down to Citizens Bank Park and see why baseball is America’s game. Relax and unwind on your weekend.

4/3/15 - Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies was the star in Wednesday’s game against the Braves. He scored a solo home run in the third inning, after a three-run home run in the first. The Phillies won 9-2, giving them a 12-16 record in the Grapefruit League. In his last five plate appearances, Utley has made four home runs, making him the player to watch as the Phillies go back to Citizens Bank Park for the regular MLB season. On Saturday (4/4), the Phillies host their local rivals, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tickets start at $5. Don’t miss the Opening Day game on Monday (4/6) when the Boston Red Sox join the Phillies on the field. The Phillies have games against the Red Sox on Wednesday and Thursday following Opening Day, and you’ll want to come out and cheer them on!

3/27/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies have an 11-12 record in the Grapefruit League. They’re three games out of first place, but sit in tenth place overall. After two straight losses, one against the Astros (1-7) and the other against the Blue Jays (1-4), the Phillies want to turn that around. This Sunday (3/29), come out to see them host the Detroit Tigers at Bright House Network Field. Get your tickets starting at $25. It’s a great way to relax on your day off. On Wednesday (4/1), the Phillies host the Atlanta Braves and on Thursday, it’s the Tampa Bay Rays as their last home game in the spring training home field. Phillies’ fans will be glad to see them come back to their home state on Friday (4/3) when they face the Pittsburgh Pirates at Citizens Bank Park.

3/18/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies are on a two game losing streak, with an 8-7 record in the Grapefruit League. The Phillies allowed the Baltimore Orioles to get 16 runs in the game on Monday, with a final score of 16-4. It was not the Phillies’ finest hour. Come out and watch how they’re going to turn their team around. Enjoy a weekend game when the Phillies host the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday (3/21). Tickets start at $29. The Phillies have weekday games on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the upcoming week. First up is the Minnesota Twins, then it’s the Houston Astros, and finally it’s the New York Yankees. Tickets are available for all of these games so that you can get a glimpse of your favorite team.

3/13/15 - With just 10 days of spring training games behind them, the Philadelphia Phillies have a 5-4-1 record in the Grapefruit League. They’re on a two-game winning streak with wins against the Pittsburgh Pirates (3-2) and Detroit Tigers (6-5). In the Tigers’ game, the Phillies scored all six of their runs in the fifth inning. The Phillies have three upcoming home games at Bright House Network Field. On Sunday (3/15), they face the Boston Red Sox. Tickets start at $26. On Monday (3/16), the Phillies host the Baltimore Orioles. Get your tickets starting at $29. Tuesday, they play host to the Tamp Bay Rays, and for just $23, you can come out and see these two great teams and have a relaxing afternoon in the stadium enjoying time with friends or family.

3/6/15 - The Philadelphia Phillies won their opening game against the New York Yankees in the Grapefruit League. The Phillies’ pitcher, Kevin Slowey, trended on Twitter, even though the Yankees’ Alex Rodriguez made his first appearance in almost 18 months. Slowey is not currently on the roster, being invited to spring training to compete for a spot. The Phillies host the Toronto Blue Jays at Bright House Network Field on Saturday (3/7), then don’t have another home game until Tuesday (3/10) against the Detroit Tigers. The next day, they host the Pittsburgh Pirates. You want to get your tickets for these games to see how the team is looking before opening day of the regular MLB season. It makes for a great afternoon of fun for the whole family.

2/20/15 - Fans of the Philadelphia Phillies are in luck because their team's 2015 MLB preseason is one of the first to begin. If you simply cannot wait to see the Phillies in action once again, be sure to catch their March 1st game against the Tampa Startans. You can still get a ticket for as little as $1. Philadelphia also has significantly more games in their preseason, with 19 whopping home games, so you have no reason to miss out. If that wasn't enough, they also feature an action packed start to the official season, kicking it off with six home games in a row. It all starts on April 6th at the Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Get your ticket to the home opener today for just $42.

1/27/15 - As the Philadelphia Phillies look to create a strong line up to take into the 2015 season, the biggest talk is about trading Jonathan Papelbon. According to rumors, the Phillies are in talk with the Brewers for the trade. However, there are many considerations that may make the trade unlikely. Papelbon has a high salary, with a $13 million salary and a 2016 $13 million club option with automatic vests upon finishing 48 games in the 2015 season. He also has a no-trade right with the ability to block deals with 17 teams. Fans will have a chance to see the new line up, with or without Papelbon, come March 1 when the Phillies meet with the Tampa Startans Baseball team in Clearwater, FL, for their first game of Spring Training. Tickets start at $1.

2014 Season

9/15/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies are in the final stretch of the season! The Pennsylvania squad is all but shut out of the 2014 MLB playoffs, so on of your last chances to score Philadelphia Phillies tickets on the road comes this week! Attend a game against the San Diego Padres and Oakland Athletics, before Philly closes out the 2014-2015 year at Citizens Bank Park. See new faces on the roster since the club announced additions Maikel Franco, Gustavo Pierre, Jesmuel Valentin and Victor Arano within the last few weeks. Philadelphia Phillies tickets are a minimum of $5 when they visit San Diego (9/16), but jump up to a $16 get-in price when they swoop in on the playoff-caliber Athletics in Oakland on (9/21).

9/4/14 - Talk about teamwork! Four Philadelphia Phillies pitchers shared the workload and combined to no-hit the Atlanta Braves—on what better holiday than Labor Day? Cole Hamels went six innings and struck out seven, before the bullpen came in to finish the job and start the final month of baseball on a good note. The Phillies will move on to play the National League-leading Washington Nats starting tomorrow. Score Philadelphia Phillies tickets on the road for a mere $3 at National Park on 9/5 and 9/7.

8/28/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies impressed last week with convincing series wins over two league contenders in the Seattle Mariners and St. Louis Cardinals. With Jerome Williams hitting stride (won back-to-back games for the first time since being on the Angeles last September) and the clubhouse sweeping the divison-leading Washington Nationals over the weekend, the Phillies are undoubtedly a spoiler squad for postseason-hopefuls down the stretch. Score Philadelphia Phillies tickets when they rough-up the New York Mets over Labor Day Weekend for as low as $5 on 9/1.

8/20/14 –Philadelphia may be 16 games out of first place in the NL East, with a minus-75 run differential, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see stellar play with Phillies tickets! Despite their poor record, the Philadelphia club owns the best hitter in the majors over the last month of play: Ben Revere has hit .315 on the year. Buy Philadelphia Phillies tickets for as little as $8 this Friday (8/22) and watch the squad take on the Cardinals at Citizens Bank Park.

8/11/15 – The Philadelphia Phillies may be at the bottom of the NL East, but the team hasn’t given up hope yet, winning four of their last six games. Last night, Ryan Howard hit a walk-off single to cap off Philly’s huge 7-6 comeback and the team is catching fire. Philadelphia will try and even up their four game series against New York Mets today at Citizens Bank Park; get-in for $23. The Phillies will then take a trip to the west coast, with a road series against the Los Angeles Angels, followed by the San Francisco Giants this week. Cheap Philadelphia Phillies tickets are offered at Angel Stadium: $6-7 to get-in on 8/12 and 8/13.

8/4/14 – The Philadelphia Phillies are looking to bounce back from two straight shutouts. The Phillies got their four game series at Washington off to a great start, winning two back-to-back, only to collapse in the second half of the series and finish their road trip with goose eggs. Philadelphia will try their luck at home, with a series against the Houston Astros, followed by division opponents, the New York Mets, for four games. One up and one down for the Phillies pitching staff: left hander Cliff Lee will return to the DL from a left elbow strain, while right-hander Hector Neris has been called up from Triple A. Philadelphia Phillies tickets dip as low as $7 when they host Houston on 8/7, and $10 when they meet the Mets on 8/11 at Citizens Bank Park.

7/28/14 – The Philadelphia Phillies played well last week, avoiding a sweep by the tough San Francisco Giants (thanks to a dominant Cole Hamels) and winning their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Yesterday, Ryan Howard helped lock-in the victory when he drilled his 16th home run of the season. Tonight’s game against the Mets is a hot ticket, as many are interested to see right-handed pitchers Bartolo Colon and AJ Burnett face off on the mound; seats are still available for a $18 minimum. The Phillies released Tony Gwynn Jr. today, after the son of Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn struggled to focus on baseball following his father’s passing. With the trade deadline fast approaching this Thursday, buy your Philadelphia Phillies tickets now and see if any new faces pepper the roster.

7/21/14 – The Philadelphia Phillies struggled in their first series back from the All-Star break, but they’ll have to wake up quick, as the team is pitted against the hungry San Francisco Giants for four games this week. Starting tonight, Philadelphia will take on San Francisco for the first time this year, and they’ll be welcoming back an integral member of the team: left handed pitcher Cliff Lee will return from the disabled list following an elbow strain to play tonight. Score Philadelphia Phillies tickets and see his debut tonight for as low as $41.

7/14/14 – The Philadelphia Phillies made some clutch moves to start pulling themselves out of the NL East cellar. The club showed their talent and finally tapped into their potential when they exacted a dominating on-the-road sweep over the Milwaukee Brewers last week. This is the first step to recouping their season; see them strike their spark this weekend when they return from the All-Star Break to play a series opposite the Atlanta Braves. Cheap Philadelphia Phillies tickets are offered this Friday and Sunday at Turner Field: pay $8 to get-in on 7/32 and $5 on 7/20.

7/7/14 – The Philadelphia Phillies are looking to pick themselves up after posting a season-high 14 games below the .500 mark. Perhaps the upcoming All Star game will give this team a much-needed boost! The Phillies are sending up Chase Utley as second base starter in Minneapolis next week, thanks to his red-hot start to the season. Score All Star Game tickets for as low as $217 on 7/15, or purchase Philadelphia Phillies tickets at extremely low prices this week! Spend just $6 to see them take on the Brewers at Miller Park on 7/9.

6/30/14 – June Gloom cast a dark shadow over the Philadelphia Phillies, who lost two of 6 in their important homestand last week. This puts them eight games behind first in the NL East and ten games under .500 at the season's midway mark. Just six days after the Red Sox released him, Philadelphia picked up Grady Sizemore and signed him to a minor-league contract in an effort to bolster the outfield. The Phillies have today off, before taking a trip to Miami to face the Marlins on Tuesday; the cheapest tickets of the series falls on 7/1 for $13 to get-in at Marlins Park. The Phillies will travel to Pittsburgh for a Fourth of July Series against the Pirates. Score Philadelphia Phillies tickets on July 4 for a minimum of $23, or wait until 7/5 and get-in for $18.

6/23/14 – The Philadelphia Phillies got a hot streak underway recently, winning nine of 11 games and five straight, including a sweep of the Braves and two wins over the Cardinals. They fizzled a bit over the weekend, dropping two in St. Louis to ultimately split their series. Now, the Phillies are back home with a chance to get their spark going again against the failing Miami Marlins (11 consecutive losses) and the opportunity to pull another sweep of Atlanta. The cheapest Philadelphia Phillies tickets offered this week come tomorrow (6/24) against Miami for a $24 minimum, and on Saturday (6/28) against Atlanta for a $33 minimum.

6/16/14 – Were you there when Jimmy Rollins made MLB history? Four-time Golden Glove winner, Rollins, has officially become the Philadelphia Phillies’ all-time hit leader. The shortstop’s record-breaking franchise hit came with No. 2,235 against the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. The man he passed—the legendary Mike Schmidt—was there to run onto the field and cheer Rollins on in celebration. Perhaps this monumental milestone will spark some more offense on the team. Score Philadelphia Phillies tickets this week and watch them kick off their road trip in Atlanta.

6/9/14- Finally! The Philadelphia Phillies ended their longest losing streak of the year, snapping a six-game slump with last Friday’s awesome 8-0 victory. Cole Hamels stayed unbeaten against the sturdy Cincinnati squad, while JRoll inched closer to breaking the club record, hitting an eighth inning solo homer (6 hits away). Buy Philadelphia Phillies tickets for their homestand against the Padres and Cubs this week. This may be a huge week for the Philly franchise, why not spend a day at the park with dad for Father’s Day? Philadelphia Phillies tickets run a minimum of $27 on Sunday (6/15).

6/3/14 – Now 54 games into the season, the Phillies are 24-30 and last in the NL East. Dropping their latest series against the Mets, Philadelphia will look to rebound on the road against Washington and Cincinnati. Phillies tickets at Great American Ball Park are averaging $29 while Phillies tickets at Nationals Park are just $20. With super cheap Philadelphia Phillies tickets available on the secondary market this week, all displaced Philly fans should get out to a game. You won’t want to miss shortstop Jimmy Rollins record the franchise record for career hits (needs just nine more to pass Mike Schmidt)!

5/26/14 – The Phillies have dropped four of their last five including the series-closer vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers Sunday night. Josh Beckett threw a no-hitter leading LA over Philadelphia 6-0, becoming the first visiting pitcher to do so since Montreal’s Bill Stoneman in 1969 at Connie Mack Stadium. This week catch the Phillies at home every day as they face off against the Rockies and the Mets. Phillies tickets start at $9 Tuesday and $12 Wednesday to watch visiting Colorado and are as low as $15 Thursday, $16 Friday, $24 Saturday, and $21 Sunday to catch a game against New York. Rockies’ Troy Tulowitzki (ankle) is expected back in the lineup; the shortstop leads the majors with a .375 batting average.

5/19/14 – While the Phillies may be last in the division, they did pick up two wins this weekend against Cincinnati to take the series. It was a high-flying affair Sunday – Jimmy Rollins and Wil Nieves hit back-to-back homes in the first inning (hope you weren’t late!) before Cody Asche and Marlon Byrd went deep later. Next up on the Philadelphia Phillies schedule is a road trip to Miami and a hosting gig of the Los Angeles Dodgers. This weekend’s games are no more than $20, so grab your Phillies tickets now and take in an afternoon of baseball at Citizens Bank Park.

5/12/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies bounced back from a four game sweep by Toronto with a near-sweep of the New York Mets this past weekend. Philadelphia missed the opportunity to snag their third consecutive victory, blowing a three game lead in yesterday's killer loss. Today, the squad is enjoying a break before opening up a short homestand with two games against the Anaheim Angels and three opposite the Cincinnati Reds. Philadelphia Phillies tickets at Citizens Bank Park are as low as $15 (5/14) versus Anaheim and just $16 (5/17) versus Cincinnati.

5/5/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies improved their record to 15-14 this past week, thanks to winning two of their most recent series. While one of two games with the Mets had to be postponed, Philadelphia took two games apiece over the Diamondbacks and Nationals. See if they can extend their winning momentum with four games against Toronto and another go at the New York Mets later this week. Philadelphia Phillies tickets are as low as $5 for their final two jabs at the Blue Jays (5/7-5/8), and jump up to a $13 minimum when they visit the Mets (5/9).

4/28/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies are coming in hot after cruising past two NL West teams, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks, last week. The Phillies pulled themselves over the .500 mark (13-12) and will look to close out the first month of major league play with the same winning momentum. Next up, the Phillies host the Mets for two games, followed by the Washington Nationals for three games. The cheapest Philadelphia Phillies tickets this week fall on Wednesday (4/30) for $19 against New York, and $18 on Friday (5/2) against Washington.

4/21/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies have dropped to 8-10 on the season after losing both series to Atlanta and Colorado, but they're hoping to have better luck against two upcoming NL West opponents. Philadelphia is currently on an extensive road trip, heading into four games against the Los Angeles Dodgers, before taking on the Diamondbacks in Arizona this weekend. Philadelphia Phillies tickets go as low as $1 for their Monday (4/21) and Wednesday (4/23) games at Dodger Stadium. In Arizona, Phillies tickets start at $8 across all three matchups with the DBacks (4/25-4/27).

4/14/14- The Philadelphia Phillies brought the upstart Miami Marlins back down to earth this past weekend, sweeping the series against their NL East opponents at home. Jimmy Rollins hit a walk-off solo homer to end things on an especially high note Sunday evening. Today, the Philadelphia Phillies are getting ready to host the rival Atlanta Braves in a four-game series, before their trip to Colorado to face the Rockies. Philadelphia Phillies tickets start at $11 to get-in on Tuesday and Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park. Prices drop down to $8 this weekend for a seat at Coors Field in Denver.

4/7/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies are 3-3 to start the season, having split their six-game season opening road trip. The squad lost their opening series to the Texas Rangers (2-1) and won their series against the Chicago Cubs (missing a sweep after collapsing yesterday, 3-8). The Phillies were supposed to make their debut at Citizens Bank Park today against the Milwaukee Brewers, but their home opener has been rained-out and postponed until tomorrow. See if they can get above .500 with cheap Philadelphia Phillies tickets! Get-in later this week against the Brewers for $10 or pay $17 to see them host the Miami Marlins this weekend.

3/31/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies exacted a huge statement victory and kicked things off with a bang in today's Opening Day stunner against Texas. Jimmy Rollins tied Cal Ripken's MLB record for most consecutive seasons starting at shortstop for the same franchise (with his 14th). What's more, Rollins hit his 200th homerun with a grand slam in the second inning, helping the team achieve a 14-10 victory over the Rangers. See if they can sweep this opening series with Philadelphia Phillies tickets! Get in for $7 on Tuesday and an even cheaper $3 on Wednesday over at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

3/24/14 - Some scary news emerged from the Philadelphia Phillies' clubhouse the other day: infielder Freddy Galvis is being hospitalized with a staph infection in his leg, and will begin the season on the disabled list. The organization took immediate measures to sterilize the clubhouse in hopes of preventing a spread. Jimmy Rollins is now back in starting contention, after being benched in favor of Galvis for three consecutive games this spring. The Phillies have two more games left in Clearwater, FL for Grapefruit League play: the first is this Wednesday against Detroit ($31 minimum) and the second is this Thursday against Toronto ($17 minimum).

3/17/14 - Philadelphia Phillies tickets are the most expensive of Opening Day, costing an average of $262 to watch them take on the Texas Rangers, and we can see why. Not only is this a huge interleague mat-up, but Cliff Lee is the projected starter (taking place of an injured Cole Hamels) in the game that will mark his first start in Arlington since leaving the Rangers after the World Series four seasons ago. You can lock down much cheaper Phillies tickets if you catch them before Spring Training ends! Philadelphia Phillies tickets start at $26 this Thursday against the Blue Jays, jump up to $48 this Friday against the Red Sox, and drop back down to a $38 minimum this Sunday against the Twins.

3/10/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies are carefully mulling over their roster, and are looking to make some big changes with three weeks left until Opening Day. With Cole Hamels out for two weeks from a tired arm, the Phillies are eyeing possible additions to fill out their five-man rotation. Another such a change would be the release of veteran outfielder Bobby Abreu (currently hitting .133) and possibly acquiring the Yankee's Ichiro Suzuki in his stead. Score some Philadelphia Phillies tickets and see what the organization comes up with this spring! Philadelphia Phillies tickets start at $21 when they take on the Yankees this Thursday, and $32 when they square off against the Pirates on Sunday.

3/3/14 - This weekend saw an exciting National League rivalry match, as the Philadelphia Phillies met the Pittsburgh Pirates with AJ Burnett starting on the mound against his former team. Burnett gave up one run in two innings in his debut and the Phillies fell 4-1. Philadelphia will face some still competition when they take on the New York Yankees and Japanese ace Masahiro Tananaka in his second spring appearance on Thursday (get-in for $19). Get Philadelphia Phillies tickets for tomorrow's game against the Atlanta Braves for just $15, and witness Cole Hamels in his first start of Spring Training.

2/24/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies have had a scandalous start to spring training, by informing the NCAA that their fifth draft pick (student-athlete Ben Wetzler, who failed to sign) violated rules regarding agent contact before opting to return to Oregon State. The junior has been suspended indefinitely in his senior year, and the Phillies have refused to comment on the matter since the news broke. Expect sparks to fly, as the media has been present at spring training looking for answers. The Phillies are one of the many teams whose spring training tickets have dropped in price since practice began: Philadelphia Phillies tickets are down to $48 on average.

2/18/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies closed their offseason signing in a big way, by coming to a one-year $15 million agreement with free-agent pitcher A.J. Burnett. The veteran chose Philly due to its proximity to his family and home in Maryland and their determination to take the national crown this year. The Phillies are confident that their 25-man roster, the most aged in the majors, gives them the best opportunity to take the NL East and go all the way this season. The franchise made it loud and clear that they are "here to win," so see them hit the ground running during their first Spring Training game against the Toronto Blue Jays ($14 to get-in).

2/11/14 - In just two days, pitchers and catchers officially report for Philadelphia Phillies spring camp! Coming off their second non-winning season for the first time since the dawn of the new millennium, the Phillies are currently in "win-now" mode, overloaded with experienced, veteran players (plus the possible addition of A.J. Burnett), can this squad pull it off? See how they fare early on with Philadelphia Phillies spring Training tickets. Philadelphia will take on the Toronto Blue Jays in Clearwater, FL (2/26) for their inaugural spring game, with tickets starting at $13.

1/30/14 - The Philadelphia Phillies only made slight moves this winter, deferring from rebuilding their aging core of players by enlisting youngsters to just the bullpen, and a handful of experienced veterans to add further depth to their roster. Phillies nation are still waiting for their franchise to land a fresher and bigger-named agent as the market continues to dwindle. Philadelphia Phillies tickets are $51 on average for Spring Training, score some to watch “Coach Halladay” in action!

The Philadelphia Phillies are entering 2014 coming off of their worst franchise record since the 90s. The ageing roster, shoddy outfield and weak bullpen were all major concerns left unsolved, and during the offseason, the team has made attempts to amend these issues. Phillies fans are still waiting for a big deal to come through to jumpstart Philadelphia’s season, and with three weeks left before pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training, the front office is bound to close something soon!

So far, GM Ruben Amaro re-signed Carlos Ruiz, pinned down Marlon Byrd for OF and acquired Brad Lincoln (former fourth overall pick) to complement an inexperienced rotation. A bulk of the A’s problems last year were injuries to key positions, especially in the outfield—expect that to change, with most players coming back well-rested and healthier. Think you’re going to miss Roy Halladay? Not to worry, the long-time pitcher will be back with the Phils as a coach, just months after announcing his retirement. As one of the oldest teams in the league, that’s “big on nostalgia”, the Phillies boast homegrown veteran greats that exude necessary leadership qualities to grant this team a bounce-back season!

2013 Season

4/4/13 – The Philadelphia Phillies added versatile outfielder Ezequiel Carrera Tuesday off waivers from the Cleveland Indians. The Phillies newest acquisition led the majors with 11 stolen bases (of 13 attempts) this Spring. Phillies fans will get a chance to see their beloved team at home tomorrow when Philadelphia plays their first home game this season at Citizens Bank Park against the Kansas City Royals. The Interleague series is the most expensive game on the Phillies schedule averaging $132, down $20 a seat in the last two months. Following the Royals series, the Phillies will host the New York Mets. In the last decade the two National League East division rivals have fought for Playoff spots and for that reason, some consider the rivalry the hottest in the NL. Tickets to see the Mets play at Citizens Bank Park are averaging $57, under the team’s average ticket price in April of $63 (fifth most expensive in MLB). The most expensive series this month at Citizens Bank Park is against the St. Louis Cardinals, a team that beat the Phillies in the NLDS two years ago and went on to win the World Series. Lastly, the Pittsburgh Pirates will visit Philly for a four-game series in late April. You can catch the intrastate rivals live for under $10 as it is (surprisingly) the cheapest Phillies regular season series at home.

From 2007 - 2011, the Philadelphia Phillies won five straight National League East division titles. However, in 2012 a lackluster bullpen, amongst other issues, prevented the 2008 World Series Champions from a sixth consecutive NL East division title.

We'll begin to get a better idea of 2013 as the Phillies report to Spring Training in Clearwater, Florida. Who will start in the outfield? Can Roy Halladay rebound this season? Phillies Spring Training tickets are about half the cost to see the team play at Citizens Bank Park during the regular season in Philadelphia; the average price of a Phillies Spring Training ticket at Bright House Field will cost you $47, the 8th most expensive in the League.

The Phillies schedule boasts prime Interleague matchups in 2013, including series against the Kansas City Royals and Boston Red Sox . Phillies single game tickets went on sale February 13, 2013. At that time, the average Philadelphia Phillies home ticket on the secondary market was $88; the average away ticket was $68 — both were 8th most expensive in the MLB. See a trend here? The most expensive month to grab a ticket to watch a Phillies game is July. The average Phillies July ticket at home is $98, and series include the Atlanta Braves, Washington Nationals, and Chicago White Sox.
