Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series Champions
2016 MLB Playoffs News and Updates
10/23/15 - It'll be the New York Mets vs Kansas City Royals in the 2015 World Series. Game 1 will be played Tuesday night in KC.
10/12/15 - By this weekend, the field will be set for baseball’s Championship Series, as the MLB Playoffs enter their second week of action. Each American League series will play out for a full five games, as Toronto and Kansas City both stayed alive in Texas on Monday afternoon. Chicago could be the first team to clinch a Championship Series spot in 2015, as the Cubbies have the Cardinals just a loss away from an early vacation. Afterward, the tense Dodgers-Mets series will continue in New York for Game 4 before switching back to L.A. should a deciding game become necessary. MLB playoff tickets are available for each series—don’t miss a single moment!
10/7/15 - What does it take to knock out the legendary Yankees from the 2015 MLB playoffs? For the Astros, it took just one Wild Card game. On Tuesday evening, Houston pitcher Dallas Keuchel threw six shutout innings to help his team to a 3-0 win over the Yanks, who haven’t made a postseason appearance since 2012. The Astros are now playing in the first series against the Royals and are up 1-0. In the National League, the Cubs beat the Pirates in Wednesday’s Wild Card game and will now go on to play Arizona in game one of the first series on Friday. The Mets and the Dodgers will also play on Friday in Los Angeles.
9/30/15 - This week has been crucial for clubs to secure their places in the competition for a spot in the 2015 MLB Playoffs. In the American League, the Royals, Blue Jays and Rangers have secured their place in the first series. The Astros and Yankees will play in the Oct. 6 Wild Card game for the last spot. The National league will have their Wild Card game on Oct. 7, when the Cubs will play the Pirates. The winner of that match will then go up against the Cardinals in the first round. The Mets and the Dodgers will also square off in the first series in the race for the Pennant.
9/23/15 - Only two teams have clinched their spot in the 2015 MLB Playoffs, and with less than two weeks remaining until crunch time, that means the speculation is in full swing. The next few days are sure to be exciting as baseball’s elite fight to join the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates in the fight for the Pennant. While many are placing bets based solely on standings, others are taking a more daring approach and basing their speculation off of how each team is faring at the present moment. For example, the Chicago Cubs haven’t even been on the radar until the last couple months, and many are predicting that they will win their first World Series since 1908. Be sure to keep your eyes on your favorite team by buying tickets to remaining regular season games!
9/16/15 - It is a close race to the MLB Playoffs, and nobody knows that more than the four teams in the race to the top of the NL central division. The Chicago Cubs, who were once considered nothing more than a long shot for the wildcard spot, now look to be creeping closer to a surefire ticket to the post-season. They made serious headway this week by dominating the Pittsburgh Pirates in their series against them on the road, who up until recently were one of their greatest challengers. There’s still a lot of shuffling that could take place before the playoffs start next month, so it’s still anyone’s prize to claim in several different divisions. Be sure to cheer for your favorite teams as they head into post-season!
9/9/15 - The month of September is finally here and that means that the MLB playoffs are just around the corner. Some of the postseason contenders are already looking pretty clear, as the New York Mets, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Kansas City Royals are all poised to take home division wins. Other divisions, however, are less certain. The New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays are in a close battle for the top spot in the AL East right now, and the Houston Astros do not look as solid as they did previously to win the AL West title. The winner of the NL Central division comes down to the Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, and Pittsburgh Pirates, but this is unlikely to be determined before October.
9/3/15 - Only five weeks stand between you and the MLB Playoffs, and, if you’re like the rest of the country, you’re already making guesses as to how the postseason will go. While the Royals have the American League Central all but locked down, they will still face heavy competition from the likes of the Astros, Yankees, Rangers and Blue Jays. Each team will certainly be fighting to get the edge they need to make it to the World Series. In Major League Baseball, a lot can happen in a very short amount of time, so teams who may not be considered real contenders could easily turn that around to take it all. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on Oct. 8, just a day after the AL and NL Wild Card games.
