Atlanta Braves News – 2013 Braves Updates
For many years, one could pencil in the Atlanta Braves as a lead pipe lock to make the MLB playoffs. Recently though, the Braves have continued to be competitive but have not been able to get back to the top of the heap in a suddenly challenging National League East, with rivals such as the Phillies and Nationals building solid rosters. Nevertheless, the Braves have taken some bold steps, most recently acquiring both Upton brothers, B.J. and Justin, to go along with breakout star Jason Heyward, who led the team in home runs in 2012. Also returning are RBI leader Freddie Freeman, and second baseman Dan Uggla.
On the mound, expect wins leader Tim Hudson to give the team a number of quality starts, along with returning starters Mike Minor and Tommy Hanson. Rounding out the rotation should be a couple of fellows who showed great promise in 2012, Kris Medlen and Brandon Beachy. The Braves will also continue to rely on setup men Eric O'Flaherty and Jonny Venters, along with closer Craig Kimbrel to shorten games. All in all, the Braves feel they have what it takes to make it back to the postseason, and
Turner Field should be a rockin’ location down Hotlanta way.
Atlanta Braves tickets for 2013 home games at Turner Field average $60, one of the cheapest
MLB tickets in 2013. Braves fans will even find cheap Braves baseball tickets under $10 in the Upper Pavilion and Boxes for most home games this season. One of the hottest Atlanta Braves tickets will be Opening Day on April 1st — Atlanta hosts the
Philadelphia Phillies, and Opening Day tickets are priced from $24 in the Upper Boxes to more than $200 behind home plate and the Braves dugout. Anyone watching the Braves on the road should expect to pay an average of $66 per ticket, slightly more than at home but still one of the best ticket deals in MLB.
