7/10/15 - This week, the Vans Warped Tour is finding itself in controversy, as fans demand that Front Porch Step be removed from the tour due to sexual misconduct with minors allegations. Several allegations have come up since late last year for the 23-year old artist. The Warped Tour did announce in May that Front Porch Step was not part of the tour, but a recent article stated that the artist did perform in Nashville. Festival Founder Kevin Lyman stated for the press this was not to sell more tickets but as a part of the artist's current therapy, and the artist was not paid for the performance. Despite this controversy, the tour is still going strong and being enjoyed around the country. Its next sop is in Virginia Beach, with tickets starting at $57.

6/19/15 - The 2015 Van’s Warped Tour is officially underway, having kicked off in Anchorage, AK on Wednesday night. While the reviews are yet to come in, one famous pop star took a moment to reflect on her time with the Warped Tour. In 2008, Katy Perry played her first tour ever with the decades-running music festival having just debuted her first album, One of the Boys, including a little single known as “I Kissed A Girl.” Perry remembers being called “lazy” at the Warped Tour, because no one ever saw her outside of her tour bus. Although the reality was that when she wasn’t performing she was doing interviews and entertaining program directors. She laughs about it now, and says the Warped Tour ultimately helped her find her bearings.
6/12/15 - The Van’s Warped Tour is going green! Kevin Lyman, founder of the punk rock music event, said that they have an eco-strategy that gets everybody involved. Specific goals include increasing recycling at the venues and encouraging attendees to take public transportation to the event. Ticket holders can even get $20 off a ride by entering the code WARPEDTOUR on the tour’s website! There will also be plenty of non-profit organizations available at the concert for you to learn about and they can tell you about ways to get involved in keeping Mother Earth clean. Join the Warped Tour this summer when it hits a city near you. Purchase your tickets for the June 20 event at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California starting at $54.
6/5/15 - The month of June is finally here and that means the kickoff to the much-anticipated 2015 Van’s Warped Tour is just two weeks away! While fans in attendance can expect the usual action packed line up of pop punk and hardcore bands at this year’s Warped Tour, they may also be in for a few surprises. This year’s schedule is also set to include a handful of hip-hop artists, which is new territory for the traditionally punk music festival. This year’s Warped Tour will also feature a special appearance by active duty Army sergeant and combat veteran Corrin Campbell and the rest of her band at the July 1 pit stop in Nashville, TN. Campbell is trying to make the military more accessible, after criticizing the media for only showing positive and negative extremes.
5/29/15 - Since its beginning in the 1990s, the Van’s Warped Tour has thrived off of doing what has never been done, and this year is no different. For the first time ever, stand up comedy will be featured at the event, and there will even be a tent specifically designated for laughs. They also already have a killer lineup of emerging stars such as Dave Ross, Eli Olsberg and Grant Cotter, so this event is sure to be fun. Now you can not only enjoy some great live music from bands like Simple Plan and The Karma Killers, but get in some laughs, as well! The eight-week long event begins next month, and with stops in more than 40 cities across the country, you have no excuse to miss this year’s Warped Tour.
5/20/15 - The Alternative Press has released its annual covers for the Vans Warped Tour. There are two different covers and the issue includes posters. This preview issue gives fans a chance to get a sneak peek at what to expect when the tour hits their area. The articles feature Beartooth, New Years Day, PVRIS, Set it Off, Black Veil Brides, and Pierce the Veil. This year along with the standard bands there will be several YouTube stars sharing the stages, including Austin Jones, Bryan Stars, and Damon Fizzy. Fans who wish to skip the lines can donate to Feed Our Children NOW! for a special wristband, similar to previous years. Tickets are available for the tour, which kicks off in Anchorage on June 17. Prices start at $64.
5/15/15 - The 2015 Van’s Warped Tour management recently confirmed that it will be partnering with alternative Internet radio station IDOBI RADIO to cover the eight week long event, which kicks off next month at the Sullivan Sports Arena in Anchorage, AK. IDOBI has also been a partner for the last several years, last year drawing in as many listeners online as there were physical ticket holders. This year, IDOBI will start coverage early, providing exclusive interviews and behind the scenes looks at the artists performing at this year’s Warped Tour. This programming will start on June 8 and run through June 19. Don’t miss your chance to see bands like Asking Alexandria, Family Force 5, and Motion City Soundtrack live all in one place this summer.
5/8/15 - Behind the huge event that is the Van’s Warped Tour is a man named Kevin Lyman, who started the music festival in the 1990s after he realized there weren’t any music events that were geared toward younger teenagers. Only 2,500 guests attended that first year, but with persistence and vision, it has become one of the most popular festivals in the country for the young and old alike. It also has helped several huge bands such as Blink-182 and My Chemical Romance launch their careers into stardom. What new bands will be the next megastars? You can get in on the action this year as the Van’s Warped Tour hits cities around the country, including a July 4 stop in West Palm Beach, FL at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre. Ticket prices start at $42.
5/1/15 - While the lineup for the 2015 Van’s Warped Tour is already massively impressive, it just got a little bit bigger. Punk rockers Simple Plan recently confirmed that they will join the Warped Tour for four dates to celebrate their upcoming fifth studio album. The guys of Simple Plan, who have been relatively quiet in recent years, will join the massive tour starting July 19 in Holmdel, NJ and stay through the Chicago stop on July 25. They’ll join a long list of punk, emo, skater, and post-hardcore bands schedule to play at the Warped Tour, including newcomers alternative pop group Never Shout Never who recently announced they will be present for all tour dates. Don’t miss a second of the action when it all kicks off on June 17 in Anchorage, AK.

2013 Vans Warped Tour
For fans of alternative music, attending the Vans Warped Tour is like going on a pilgrimage. The Warped Tour just completed its 19th year as the hottest summer music festival sponsored by Vans Shoes. The tour’s dates were announced before the lineup, and it kicked off in March at Club Nokia in L.A. with a party featuring bands as diverse as Chiodos and Big Chocolate. The tour will play shows in Europe and, for the first time ever, Australia. There are old-time favorites headlining like New Found Glory, Reel Big Fish, and the Aquabats (Travis Barker once played drums for them) as well as plenty of new acts which include greats in the pop and hip-hop categories.
The Warped Tour traveled the States from June to August. The first venue was in Auburn, Washington, just south of Seattle. The tour then moved down the coast, playing two dates in Pomona, California. The tour then moved east, playing just one non-American date in Toronto on July 5th. It went on to hit up major arenas in New York, New Jersey, and throughout New England as well as Pennsylvania. The last three dates were scheduled for Texas – Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston. The tour will take a break for a few months and then resume in Berlin, Germany before traveling abroad until the end of the year.
Organizers for 2013’s fest focused on up-and-coming acts, and while Warped Tour ticket sales saw a slight downturn at first, they picked back up in July. Next year, the tour will celebrate 20 years of rock! Check back with Razorgator for the best prices on your Vans Warped Tour tickets!
