The Who 2015 Hits 50 Tour

11/25/14 - The acclaimed rock band The Who announced recently that they plan to commemorate their last day of touring in the United Kingdom on June 26, 2015, at the infamous Hyde Park in London. They will appear with other great names like Paul Wellers, Kaiser Chiefs, and Johnny Marr. Tickets for this all-day event and other concerts are available now, starting at around $60. Lead singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist Pete Townsend have both stated that this will be their final big tour, though they both agree that they are far from being done with music. With shows booked all over the world, they are reaching fans that have never been able to see them perform live. They will be on the road as of April 2015, starting in Tampa, Florida.

11/21/14 - Eleven albums. Twenty-three tours. Fifty years of rock. They are The Who, and they are back. Led by Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend, The Who will return to U.S. stages in April for The Who Hits 50! Tour. Daltrey predicts this tour will be the last, but assured fans the band will keep rocking. They plan to release a new album next summer, so audiences will hear some new tunes along with the classics. The band will play U.S. shows in both the spring and fall, but will spend the summer across the pond. The Who announced Monday they will wrap up the European tour at home, with a performance at Hyde Park in London. Tickets for their North American shows are now available, starting at $60.

11/14/14 - Touring in celebration of their 50th anniversary, The Who are entertaining audiences all across Europe on the British & Irish leg of their The Who Turns 50! Tour. Often considered one of the greatest rock acts of the 20th century, these Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members were recently honored at a benefit concert in London at Sheperd’s Bush Empire. The benefit featured other legendary music acts, such as Eddie Vedder, Liam Gallagher of Oasis, and Rush bassist Geddy Lee honoring the rock icons by performing classic Who songs in front of the band. The Who have promised a broad set list for the tour, featuring their greatest hits such as “My Generation” and “Who Are You.” This seminal rock band has also released some new tunes, their first in eight years, which will be sure to spice up the show. The Who kick off their American tour in Tampa, FL on Wednesday, April 15th at the Amalie Arena.

11/7/14 - Anyone who loves classic rock knows that The Who is one of the most exciting bands of all time. The Who Hits 50! Tour will hit American soil in April of 2015, with stops in major cities across the country until the end of the year. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and for good reason – their top hits continue to influence musicians around the world and draw fans to sold-out concerts every time they go on tour. The Who is known for putting on one heck of a show, and their 2015 is sure to be no exception. Tickets for the first show on April 15 in Tampa, Florida are still available, and prices start at $69 a piece.

11/5/14 - The Who are coming to a town near you as they gear up for 44 shows in North America next year! Expected to be one of the hottest concerts of the season, The Who tickets are averaging $237 on Razorgator. Find the cheapest ticket prices in Nashville (avg. $159), Kansas City (avg. $163), and Winnipeg (avg. $167). The massive 50th anniversary tour will begin in Tampa on April 15 and is scheduled through Nov 4, concluding in Philadelphia. The Who will break from June to September. Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will play highlights from their five decade careers on the road. The Who setlist will include hits from ‘My Generation,’ ‘Live at Leeds,’ ‘Tommy‘ and ‘Who’s Next’ in addition to new music like current single “Be Lucky”. Don’t miss the groups “last big tour” as Daltrey admits because of the strains of touring on the body, this will be The Who’s final “old-fashioned, big tour”. No tears though, the band members plan to work on new music following the tour.
