The Weeknd Tour News and Updates
2015 The Madness Fall Tour
12/25/15 - What does Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, have in common with Adele and Taylor Swift? It may seem like very little, but these three pop stars all share a love for their Mastering Engineer, Tom Coyne. Coyne is behind several different GRAMMY nominees’ albums. He helped create Swift’s 1989, Tesfaye’s Beauty Behind the Madness, and Adele’s 21 and 25. It seems you can’t go wrong with this kind of creative genius behind you, and the success of the three pop stars is a testament to Tom Coyne’s music mastery. Catch The Weeknd at his next show on New Year’s Eve at Fountainebleu Hotel in Miami Beach, FL. Tickets are extremely limited.
12/18/15 - We’ve been seeing so much of The Weeknd in the media lately, and yet we still can’t get enough of his incredible music. Most recently, we enjoyed his medley of “The Hills,” “Can’t Feel My Face” and “Earned It” on the season finale of The Voice. With the flood of performances, it’s easy to forget that just a few concerts remain in the schedule of his current tour in support of his second studio album, Beauty Behind The Madness. On Saturday, Dec. 19, he will be on stage at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. If you are looking for tickets, your search can stop here. We have a few left for sale with prices starting at $188.

12/4/15 - Now that December is here, Rolling Stone magazine has released their list of the best albums of 2015. Not surprisingly, The Weeknd has made high honors and is listed at No. 4 for his record, Beauty Behind the Madness. This was only his second LP, but his first to reach Top 40 status in the United States. It is a great mix of sounds that inspires reflectiveness as well as makes you want to get up and dance. This honest work is certainly deserving of the honor and has left fans hoping new music isn’t too far off. The Weeknd is on tour and is currently in California. On Saturday, Dec. 5 he will perform at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.
11/20/15 - R&B rocker Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, took New York’s Madison Square Garden by storm over the weekend. After rocketing to fame from virtual obscurity in the course of 2015, Tesfaye managed to sell out the massive, world-renown venue. It was a huge occasion for the singer, who took some time out of his performance to reminisce about his extensive history with the city of New York. He mentioned having performed at Bowery Ballroom, Paradise Theater, and others, but even he was having a hard time believing he was there at Madison Square Garden. Catch The Weeknd live at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY tomorrow night. Tickets are $57.
11/13/15 - It’s been a busy week for The Weeknd, even amid his massive The Madness Fall Tour. The singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, was excited to launch a fashion collection on which he collaborated with noted designer Alexander Wang. The collection is called WANGXO and is expected to be available for retail in the coming weeks. He also attended the Spring 2016 fashion show for Wang with girlfriend Bella Hadid as his date, even though Tesfaye would be the first to say that he’s not boyfriend material. Catch “The Hills” singer live at his next show tonight at Madison Square Garden at 7:30. Tickets are still available for as little as $73.
11/6/15 - The Weeknd, better known as Abel Tesfaye, has just released some exciting news for fans waiting to catch him during his The Madness Fall Tour. If you can get to one of his shows on November 27 or later, you’ll get a double dose of awesomeness. The R&B star is teaming up with rising star Halsey, singer of “New Americana,” for several shows starting in late November. She is set to be the opening act for a select number of shows, though we may also be able to expect to see her during the main act’s set for one or two duets. The Weeknd’s next show is tonight at United Center in Chicago, IL.
10/30/15 - Fans and critics alike can’t seem to get enough of R&B ascending star The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye. The artist admits to experiencing some initial fame shock, especially after mingling with the likes of Taylor Swift. In fact, the first time the two superstars met was nothing short of painfully awkward. According to Tesfaye, Taylor Swift approached him, professed her love to him, and began to “pet” the singer’s hair. Tesfaye admitted that although it was a strange encounter, he didn’t tell her to stop, as he didn’t want to offend her. Come catch The Weeknd at his next show this Tuesday, November 3 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, ON.
10/23/15 - It has already been a huge year for breakout artist The Weeknd. He has topped the charts with his three different hits “Earned It,” “I Can’t Feel My Face,” and “The Hills.” Now, he may be up for an AMA award. Perhaps most significantly, however, was that he got to headline last week’s installment of Saturday Night Live. It’s a huge honor to perform at 30 Rock, where so many musical and comedic legends have appeared. You can catch The Weeknd at his next event, We Can Survive, alongside Maroon 5, Sam Smith, and others this Saturday at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA. Tickets start at just $106.
10/13/15 - Who had the best song of 2015? Many may immediately think of Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran, but many think that honor should go to The Weeknd. His song, “Can’t Feel My Face” has earned him a nod for an AMA for best song. He could also take home the trophy for favorite male artist, new artist of the year and album of the year (in the soul and R&B category). The Weeknd returns to his solo tour in early November, but not before he enjoys some time to soak in the nominations and perform at some important events. He will be just one of the musicians featured at this year’s Victoria Secret Fashion Show.
10/9/15 - If you weren’t planning on watching Saturday Night Live this weekend, you may want to think again. The Weeknd will be the musical guest, and he will star alongside the hilarious Amy Schumer. There are few rites of passage in the music biz that are as important as this one! Playing on live television for an audience of several million must be daunting and exciting, and we’re sure this will be a great show. The Weeknd has got some serious stage talent, so be sure to tune in this weekend! He will return to the “Madness” tour early next month and we have your tickets for all remaining shows on sale now.
10/2/15 - R&B sensation The Weeknd is more than just a musical icon; the one-man act may also be partially responsible for a larger cultural movement. The artist, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, says that he writes contemplative music written from first person perspective. It’s designed to be consumed for private reflection. Its popularity demonstrates a shift in the way young people apply music to their lives, listening to solitary slow jams on their headphones while perusing social media instead of blasting hard rock and roll music through speakers. Tesfaye is a genuine force to be reckoned with and his voice, along with the voice of a new generation, is only getting stronger.
9/25/15 - Replacing yourself on the Billboard Hot 100 charts is incredibly rare, but is an accomplishment that The Weeknd can now boast. His song “Can’t Feel My Face” took the number one spot a total of three times, but this week “The Hills” has taken over. This success means he now joins an elite group that includes artist such as the Beatles and Taylor Swift. Along with celebrating this feat, he spent the week busy performing at the iHeartRadio concert and the Apple Music Festival. He also recently embarked on a solo arena tour that will continue next month with an appearance at We Can Survive at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on Oct. 24 along with other artists such as Maroon 5 and Calvin Harris.
9/17/15 - The weekend is finally here and that means that The Weeknd is about to kick off his much anticipated The Madness Fall Tour. It all starts tonight at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas, NV. There are currently only 43 tickets left to the opening show, and they start at just $31. The R&B singer’s next performance will take place at the annual iHeartRadio Music Festival on Saturday, also in Las Vegas, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. He’ll take the stage alongside many other headliners including Fall Out Boy, Blake Shelton, Janet Jackson, and several others. You can see all of them for a steal of just $111, and tickets are still widely available. Don’t miss your chance to see one of this year’s hottest breakout stars.
9/11/15 - Last week, The Weend scored not just one or two spots on top the Billboard Hot 100 charts, but three with his hits “The Hills,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” and “Earned It.” This week, although the rising R&B star fell to Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” on the charts, the singer picked up another huge honor. His new album Beauty Behind the Madness, debuted at number two. That’s extremely impressive for an artist who was still relatively unheard of just two years ago. You won’t want to miss your chance to see this star in the making at his opening show next Friday, September 18 at 10:30 p.m. at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas. Tickets are limited and currently start as low as $60.
9/4/15 - There’s a long list of great music stemming from Canada, not the least of which is coming from Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd. He has opened for the likes of Florence + the Machine and has taken the stage at major events like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. Earlier this summer, he became the first R&B artist to have songs in the top three spots of the Billboard charts. “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills” took spots one and two and, appropriately, “Earned It” came in at number three. This guy is a fantastic artist, and his talent is now taking him on his first headlining tour! On Saturday, Sept. 18 he will perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Purchase your tickets today for $152 and up.
10/11/14 - After opening for Florence and the Machine on their Ceremonials Tour, the Weeknd will embark on his first headlining tour in September. Titled “The Fall”, the 28-show tour begins on 9/6 at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver. The Fall concludes with three shows at Massey Hall in the Weeknd’s hometown of Toronto from 10/17-10/20. On 9/10, a few days after the tour begins, the 23-year old will release his first studio album Kiss Land under Universal Republic. Trilogy, the Weeknd’s previous album, managed to reach platinum certification, despite being a compilation of his three previously released mixtapes with only three unreleased tracks.
The average price for tickets to The Fall is $116, down 17% from the general on-sale date in July. Overall, the most expensive date is the tour finale in Toronto on 10/20, with an average price of $194. The other two Toronto shows on 10/17 and 10/19 are averaging $150 and $156, respectively. Tickets for Greek Theatre in Los Angeles three days later on 9/16 are more than twice as expensive, averaging $180.
