Soundgarden 2014 Tour
Legendary rock band, Soundgarden, have helped shaped the direction rock music since first emerging out of Seattle in the late 80s. Lead singer Chris Cornell, guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron have been rocking stages across the globe with their innovative sound and style, influencing the next generation of musicians in the process. Along with other legendary acts like Nirvana and Pearl Jam, Sound Garden is known as a creator of grunge, a genre that mixes alternative rock and metal, which developed out of the Emerald City.
As one of the first grunge bands to sign a major record deal, Soundgarden hit it big in the 90s, with album Superunknown, a perennial rock staple that features Grammy-winning songs "Black Hole Sun" and "Spoonman". Despite disbanding over creative differences, the group reunited in 2010 and have brought their talent back to the stage and studio. Soundgarden released their sixth record, King Animal, two years ago and have subsequently sold 22.5 million records worldwide across their shinning career.
This year, they'll be joining forces with other rock-gods from the 90s, Nine Inch Nails
, on the road for a tour of epic proportions. The two co-headliners will team up for a 23-city North American tour this summer, a trek that has answered the wishes of music lovers everywhere. They'll kick things off July 19 in Las Vegas and close out August 25 in Hollywood, and tickets are sure to go like lighting.
