Slash 2014 Let Rock Rule Tour
Real life guitar hero Saul Hudson, better known by moniker Slash, is the former lead guitarist of legendary hard rock band Guns N' Roses
. Slash is identified worldwide by his curly black hair, wild top hat, unbuttoned leather vest, Les Paul guitar and aviator shades. He's inspired a generation of kids, from the late 1980s-90s, how to shred the guitar and founded supergroups Slash's Snakepit and Velvet Revolver, which claimed the forefront of rock music in the 2000s. A few years back, the icon dropped a self-titled album with a slew of famous guest musicians and recently released Apocalyptic Love with The Conspirators.
Slash is known as one of the finest guitarists of all time, receiving the runner up spot in Time's "The 10 Best Electric Guitar Players." Rolling Stone included him in "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time," and his "November Rain" solo and "Sweet Child O' Mine" riff are considered tour de forces in music history. From blues-rock, to heavy metal and jazz-rock, Slash can play it all—and everyone wants to work with him: he's been a session musician for Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Alice Cooper and countless others.
Born in London to an African-American costume designer (Ola Hudson) and an English album cover artist (Anthony Hudson), Slash's parents worked with Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, David Bowie and more. After moving to Los Angeles, Hudson heard Aerosmith's album, Rocks, and the teenager knew a career in music was his destiny. Though he later surpassed is heroes in guitar dexterity, Slash will now be touring alongside Aerosmith
on the "Let Rock Rule" summer tour. The legends will hit the road July 10 in Wantagh, and crash through Mansfield, Las Vegas, Concord, Denver, Dallas, Atlantic City and more, before closing north of the border in Sydney, NS on Sept 12.
