Pat Benatar Tour News and Updates
Pat Benatar is an original girl-power icon; though she released catchy songs everyone can enjoy, her powerhouse vocals and tough image championed female independence. She was ubiquitous in 1980s American pop music; not only was this songstress one of the most-played artists on MTV, but Benatar was selling out arenas worldwide without a sweat. Her staying power can be attributed to a distinct rocker edge found in Top 10 hits “Love Is a Battlefield,” “We Belong,” “Invincible,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Fire and Ice” and so many more.
Born Patricia Andrzejewski, the Brooklyn-native began her career playing bars and clubs around the New York area with her band and guitarist/writer and future husband, Neil Geraldo. After being discovered, Pat Benatar experienced immediate mainstream and international success. Her debut album In the Heat of the Night spawned “Heartbreaker” and “I Need a Lover,” while her sophomore work Crimes of Passion spurned “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Treat Me Right” and more.
Now Pat Benatar is hitting the road, both as a solo act, and as a special guest along Cher’s massively popular “Dressed to Kill” Tour. Her husband and collaborator/guitarist, Geraldo, will be along for the ride, celebrating 35 years as one of the most successful couples in music. Pat Benatar tickets are available now, through October 12 in Virginia. Lock in Cher with Pat Benatar tickets on the “Dressed to Kill” farewell tour: available from October 15 in Richmond, VA through November 1 in Omaha, NE.
