Jesse McCartney Tour News and Updates
Jesse McCartney may be young, but he’s a veteran performer. The singer got his start as a child actor on Broadway, landed a big role on the TV show All My Children
and joined the platinum recording boy band Dream Street all by the age of 12. McCartney eventually released a highly popular debut album, “Beautiful Soul,” which figured likable pop/rock tunes like the title track and “She’s No You.”
The youngster made an even bigger splash with his sophomore work “Right Where You Want Me.” This was followed by the R&B-inflected album “Departure,” which spawned “Leavin’” and “How Do You Sleep?” ft. Ludacris. The effort displayed McCartney’s true departure from his Radio Disney-friendly past. Jesse displayed even more maturity, and songwriting chops, when he teamed up with Ryan Tedder (One Republic) to write Leona Lewis’ hit song “Bleeding Love.” McCartney turned his focused back on acting and picked up a recurring role on Army Wives; before long, the stage buff yearned for the road again, and joined the Backstreet Boys on their successful comeback tour.
With the launch of his own independent label (Eight0Eight), the crooner is busier than ever, but McCartney will hit the road on July 25 for a special House of Blues tour across the United States. The trek takes the name of Jesse McCartney’s newest album, “In Technicolor,” which hits upon the sounds of 60s, 70s and 80s pop music he listened to while growing up.
