Jason Mraz 2014 Acoustic Tour
Jason Mraz, music's perennial coffee shop troubadour, has provided the soundtrack to our summers for over a decade. Songs like "I'm Yours," "You and I Both," "I Won't Give Up," "Make it Mine" and "Lucky" are mainstays on the radio and evoke the laid-back nature of the singer-songwriter. Mraz is a frequent collaborator and special guest on many prominent tours, having worked with the likes of the Dave Matthews Band
, the Rolling Stones, Rob Thomas
, Colbie Caillat, John Mayer, Dido, Alanis Morisette and Willie Nelson
Though he was born in Virginia, Mraz gained popularity on the San Diego coffee shop scene, so it's only fitting that he takes his guitar and fedora exclusively along the West coast for his 2014 unplugged tour. Mraz will play in small, intimate venues—the best kind of environment to see talented stripped-down performers—where he will play all-acoustic sets. He'll kick off the jaunt at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Mar 4, and run up the Gold Coast through Santa Cruz, San Luis Obispo, Riverside, Eugene (single Oregon date) and Chico before closing in Redding on Mar 31.
Jason Mraz's jazzy-pop recordings run from his first release "Live at Java Joe's" (made in a San Diego coffee shop), to his first full studio effort "Waiting for My Rocket to Come", his sophomore label work that garnered major success "Mr. A—Z", and finally "We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things" which propelled him to international stardom, all while maintaining his down-to-earth persona. The artist is due for an album release later this year, but before that, he'll appear at the Country Music Hall of Fame benefit titled, "All For the Hall." Jason Mraz's longevity record on the Billboard Hot 100, the 76-week run for "I'm Yours," has just been broken by Imagine Dragons
and their smash hit "Radioactive."
