Jack White 2014 Tour
Jack White, born John Anthony Gillis, is best known for his role as one half of garage rock group The White Stripes. Alongside his former wife Meg, Jack White was the vocalist, guitarist and pianist of the critically hailed duo. When the group that produced well-known hits such as “Seven Nation Army,” “Icky Thump,” “Fell In Love With A Girl,” “We’re Going to Be Friends” and more disbanded in 2011, Jack White embarked on a successful solo career.
The Detroit native was awarded “Nashville Music City Ambassador,” is ranked No. 17 in Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, and is a highly acclaimed studio collaborator. After a brief stint with the Raconteurs, spawning ubiquitous hit “Steady As She Goes,” White debuted a self-produced solo album, “Blunderbuss” in 2012.
Jack White will hit the road this summer for a trek of the US. The tour comes in support of forthcoming sophomore album, Lazaretto, due to drop on June 10. The "Love is Blindness" singer will kick things off May 29 in Tulsa, and run through New York, Los Angeles, Manchester, Chicago, Pittsburgh and Detroit, before closing in Toronto on July 31. Special shows on the release week of Lazaretto are in the Los Angeles area: 6/10 at The Fonda Theater, 6/11 at The Mayan and 6/12 at The Fox Theater in Pomona.
