Eric Hutchinson Tour News and Updates
2014 Tell the World Tour
Eric Hutchinson is a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter who's had quite a musical journey to get where he is now. After being discovered and nurtured by Madonna's Maverick Records, the singer was dropped whilst his debut album was in production. Hutchinson got back on his feet when his self-produced effort was heard by blogger Perez Hilton. The famous Hollywood gossip-cop inadvertently exploded Hutchinson's musical career and sent the album into iTunes' Top 10 (literally) overnight. This was followed by the artists’ incredibly catchy single "Rock and Roll" that quickly hit VH1's Top 20.
Hutchinson's music is a blend of folk and jazz pop likened to Jeff Buckley, John Mayer and Jason Mraz; he cites Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello and the Beatles as influences. Hutchinson first lit up college radio stations as a student at Emerson, and gained a following on the East Coast bar scene before moving to Los Angeles. Now, re-signed to Warner Brothers Music, the soulful pianist/guitarist/singer has released a fifth full-length effort, Pure Fiction, has toured with Kelly Clarkson and One Republic, and is gearing up for headlining tour of the US. Entitled the "Tell the World" tour, Hutchinson will visit San Diego (4/27), Los Angeles (4/29), Denver (5/7), Chicago (5/14), New York (5/19) and more, before closing in Boston (5/24).
