Coachella Music Festival 2016 News and Updates
Solidifying its status as one of the most important music festivals in the world, Coachella planners have announced that they will be expanding attendance by 62,000 in future years. Townspeople and the Indio City Council alike welcomed the news, applauding it as a way to meet the demand from music lovers who want to attend but miss out due to attendance limits. The expansion includes the purchase of more acreage, allowing for more stages, places for RVs and more services for Coachella attendees. Though this year’s festival won’t be affected by the increase in numbers, we still have lots of tickets available for purchase. Get your general admission passes from us today for only $396 and up!
Most festivalgoers know that Coachella is one of the premier musical events of the year. This year, however, it’s set to have an impact that extends much further than the music industry. According to news outlets, the Indio-based festival as well as another one, Stagecoach, have already generated more than $700 million in revenue. This is enough profit to make a genuine global financial impact. That’s right, by buying your ticket to the April 15 and April 22 festivities you could be helping to funnel money back into the global economy. What are you waiting for? Tickets to the first weekend start at $461; the second weekend starts at $411.
Time is running out to get your tickets to the annual Coachella Music Festival in beautiful Indio, CA! The first weekend of the beloved music and culture festival is officially less than a month away. It’s not worth going to the event if you’re not going to stay all weekend, and we’ve got you covered with all-weekend passes. Tickets for the first weekend are still widely available and prices are currently soaring above $400. These numbers are only expected to climb in the coming weeks, so take advantage of lower prices now. Tickets to the second weekend of the festival, starting on April 22, are currently available for $397 and up.
2/2/16 - When you’re as popular as the annual Coachella Music Festival, you’re bound to encounter a few copycats. Unfortunately for one of those mimickers, the organizers of the massive festival are now suing them for trademark infringement. The target is “Hoodchella,” which is an underground music event based in Los Angeles. Organizers of the Indio event are seeking to not only to stop Hoodchella, but also to be compensated at least $100,000 in damages. It’s tough to be the little guy competing against a giant, so we hope the two organizations can find an amicable solution. In the meantime, you can get your tickets to Coachella for prices starting at $43 and up.
1/26/16 - More and more exciting acts continue to be announced for the 2016 installment of the Coachella Music Festival, scheduled for the weekends of April 15 and 22 in Indio, CA. Besides headliners like Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Calvin Harris, and Sia, concertgoers can also expect to see a few crowd favorites. Some of the bands that were recently announced include: The 1975, M83, Miike Snow, and British vocal powerhouse James Bay. If you don’t have your tickets to the annual event yet, you can still find options for both weekends starting at prices as low as 43 for an All Weekend Pass. Get your best friends together and grab your tickets now!
1/19/16 - This should come as no surprise to past attendees: the Coachella Music Festival is currently the highest-grossing event of its kind. In 2015, a whopping $195 million was generated from the top ten highest-grossing music festivals. The Indio sensation was by far and away the leader, bringing in upwards of $84 million in tickets sales alone. In 2016, things could get even bigger. Interest in the event seems to grow every year, and we don’t expect this year to be any different. That’s due in part to the epic lineup already planned for two weekends in April. Get your All Weekend Pass to the April 15 and 22 festivities for $46 and up.
1/12/16 - It’s that time of year again! Coachella Music Festival is just a few short months away. The 2016 installment of the beloved Indio, CA festival will take place over two weekends in April. The first starts on Friday, April 15, and wraps up the following weekend of April 22. There are already a tremendous number of big names listed as headliners. Friday features the likes of Ellie Goulding and LCD Soundsystem. On Saturday, you can rock out to Guns N’ Roses, A$Ap Rocky, Disclosure, and many others. Sunday comes to an epic conclusion with acts like Calvin Harris, the vocally formidable Sia, and Flume. Tickets start at $46 for opening weekend.
4/15/15 - The immensely popular annual musical festival known as Coachella kicked off last weekend, with some 45,000 people in attendance. There were several headliners that made last weekend an epic affair, but there were three truly memorable moments. Florence + the Machine had one of the best performances, as lead singer Florence Welch’s voice never sounded better while she belted out songs like “Shake It Out” and “What Kind of Man.” Other memorable acts included the legendary hard rock force known as AC/DC, who are preparing to embark on a world tour later this summer. Finally, there’s one moment that no one can stop talking about. At the end of Drake’s song “Madonna,” Madonna herself came on stage and surprised everyone by kissing Drake for several seconds. Don’t miss next weekend for the conclusion of the extravaganza!
3/9/15 - For many fans, the Coachella Music Festival is an annual pilgrimage. For others, it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience music festival culture. Whether you’re a return fan or first timer, it’s important to be prepared for the multi-day event featuring everyone from AC/DC to Alabama Shakes. Get to the festival early for the best camping sites and seats to the show. If you’re over 21, moderate your intake of alcohol and don’t forget to eat enough food and drink plenty of water. If you plan on taking lots of pictures or videos of your favorite bands, don’t forget to bring backup power for your phone or camera. Finally, always keep a spare tube of sunscreen on hand to beat the Indio, CA sun and heat.
3/2/15 - With Coachella only a month away, music fans are preparing for the famous music and art festival. International clothing store H&M has released a Coachella-inspired collection called H&M Loves Coachella that will bring the fashion and creativity from the event to places beyond Indio, CA. The collection will be available online and in stores starting March 19 in North America and March 26th worldwide. This marks the first branded festival collaboration for the company. Another company jumping on board the Coachella bandwagon is Doppler Labs, who makes DUBS Acoustic Filter earplugs. They have partnered with Goldenvoice to provide their new product, DUBS Earplugs, to all pass holders for the 2015 event. Coachella sells out fast, but you still have a chance to get your all weekend pass (starting at $45) or select dates (starting at $29).
1/14/15 - If you have any desire to attend the 2015 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, this is probably your last chance to get tickets. The two weekend event will take place on April 10, 11, and 12 and then again on April 17, 18, and 19. The big name headliners were only announced last week and include AC/DC, Drake, and Jack White. In addition to many art installations and sculptures, the event features rock, indie, hip hop, and electronic music performances. All tickets for individual days are completely sold out, but it is still possible to purchase weekend passes. The more anticipated weekend of April 10th has costs starting at $795 to attend, but the second weekend's tickets can be attained for as little as $118.

Headliners for Friday (April 11 & 18) are OutKast (reuniting to take the stage), Broken Bells, Zedd, Girl Talk, Chromeo, AFI and Ellie Goulding for starters. British imports Muse, Queens of the Stone Age, Skrillex, Lorde, Foster the People, Kid Cudi, Nas and Empire of the Sun take the Saturday stages (April 12 & 19). The closing shows on Sunday (April 13 & 20) include indie art rockers Arcade Fire, Beck, Lana Del Rey, Neutral Milk Hotel and Calvin Harris to name a few. This West coast cross-genre party always sells out and proves to be one of the hardest events for music lovers to get into. We have 3-day passes for the first weekend starting at $411, or slightly cheaper the second weekend, starting at $402. 9/17/13 - Two weekends of Coachella 2014 dates have been announced. If you are among the 75,000 plus heading to Indio April 11-13 or April 18-20, expect a Coachella lineup announcement early next year. The three-day festival will stay in the Southern California desert until 2030; the annual event will take place at the Empire Polo Grounds next year.
In 2013, Coachella tickets for Weekend 1 sold out quickly followed by Weekend 2. On the secondary market you could find Coachella tickets to the sold-out event up until the day before with Week 2 Coachella tickets starting at $252, almost $100 below face value. The 2013 Coachella lineup included Red Hot Chili Peppers, Phoenix, Benny Benassi, and Blur.
In the year prior, it was Tupac’s hologram that made Coachella headlines. The use of the hologram made it appear as if Snoop Dogg and Tupac sang “Come With Me”, “Hail Mary”, and “Gangsta Party” live together. With around 100 acts performing that year at Coachella, there was something for all audiences to enjoy.
