Budweiser Made in America Festival News - 2013 Made in America Festival Updates
After just one year, the Budweiser Made in America Festival
is already one of the top music events
in Philadelphia. Made in America was created in 2012 by rapper, business mogul, sports agent, and now festival organizer Jay Z
. Headlined by Jay and rockers Pearl Jam, over 80,000 were in attendance for the inaugural festival. Other top performers across the two days and three stages included Drake, Skrillex, Miike Snow, Maybach Music Group (Rick Ross, Wale, & Meek Mill), Calvin Harris, Chris Cornell, and Run-DMC. The 2012 festival will be commemorated in a documentary directed by legendary filmmaker Ron Howard, which is expected to be released sometime this year.
Made in America 2013 hopes to build on the last years success. The festival will be held again at Benjamin Franklin Parkway
in Philadelphia, from 8/31-9/1. Jay Z’s wife Beyonce
headlines Saturday night, while industrial rock kings Nine Inch Nails
headline Sunday. Saturday’s lineup also includes Deadmau5, Phoenix, Empire of the Sun, Imagine Dragons, 2 Chainz, Public Enemy, A$AP Rocky, and more. Sunday’s lineup includes Calvin Harris, Queens of the Stone Age, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Wiz Khalifa, Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, Emile Sande, Fitz & the Tantrums, and others.
