Billy Joel 2015 Tour

5/21/15 - The Piano Man himself visited Minneapolis on Saturday, thrilling a sold out Target Center of some 19,000 fans along his extensive 2015 tour. Iconic rocker Billy Joel proved he’s still going strong, even following a brief break from the tour to relish in the exciting news that he and his girlfriend are expecting a baby girl. Joel appeared refreshed and relaxed at Saturday’s show, even stopping several times during the high-energy performance to reminisce and crack jokes. “My Life” was the show opener, followed by an inspired collection of hits including “Pressure,” “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song) and even the obscure fan-chosen “The Downeaster ‘Alexa.’” Joel’s next stop takes place next Thursday, when he takes the stage once again at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

5/11/15 - Fans of Billy Joel receive a memorable experience every time they go to see him on concert, and his latest tour is no exception. His appearance at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, has another reason to be special. This will be the 32nd time Bill Joel plays this arena, and it will be the last event prior to its closing down for a major renovation. The New York Islanders hockey team are moving to Brooklyn, so the city is turning the arena into a new center that will focus on staging entertainment shows. This is not the first time that Billy Joel has been the last act at a legendary stadium; he also closed down Shea Stadium in 2008. Tickets to all shows are still on sale, with prices starting at $114.
… more

4/21/15 - Following last week’s announcement that Billy Joel and his girlfriend Alexis Roderick are expecting a baby, Joel’s 29-year-old daughter added to the exciting news that the baby is a girl! Using the hashtag #themorethemerrier, Alexa, who is also a singer and songwriter, gushed that her best friends have always been her siblings, and she is excited to once again be a big sister. The father-to-be will also be receiving an honorary doctorate degree in music from Stony Brook University next month. This is a huge honor for the accomplished and revered musician, who has donated two grand pianos to the music department. You can celebrate both of these happy events alongside Billy Joel at the May 1 concert in Kansas City, MO. Our tickets will set you back just $85 and up.

4/15/15 - As the iconic Piano Man Billy Joel takes a brief hiatus from his widely successful 2015 news, the singer recently announced some very exciting news. Joel and his longtime girlfriend Alexis Roderick told reporters today that they are expecting their first child together. This is the couple’s first child together, although it’s not the first time Joel has been a dad-to-be. The new addition is due this summer. There are no reports on whether or not Joel expects to take time off when the baby is born, but at the present he expects to continue on all scheduled tour stops. Come support the expecting father and Piano Man himself at his next stop, which will takes place on May 1 at the Spirit Center in Kansas City, MO.

4/6/15 - Billy Joel has been making a tremendous impact on the music industry ever since he got his start in 1973, but his influence is extending to a rather unexpected place this year. A Long Island law school is holding a conference based on the lyrics of many of Joel’s songs, and organizers are planning lectures with titles such as “How the Rules of Evidence Handcuff the Piano Man.” While some may not take the conference seriously, it sure sounds more interesting than hearing about legal briefs! Luckily, you don’t have to attend that event to learn about Billy Joel songs; he is coming to concert in a city near you! His next appearance will be on Friday, May 1 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO. Get your tickets today for $37 and up.

3/12/15 - The reviews are in for Monday night’s concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC, and they are virtually unanimous: Billy Joel was simply sensational. Despite being a regular performer at the venue and across the world, he has a knack for making each performance something special, and Monday night at The Garden was no exception. Of course he played all of his greatest hits, including “Piano Man,” “Uptown Girl,” “Movin’ Out,” and “Only the Good Die Young,” but the audience was also surprised with an appearance by world-famous violinist, Yitzhak Perlman for a lovely rendition of “Downeaster Alexa.” Joel will take a break for the next week or so before his next concert, which is scheduled on March 20 in Syracuse, NY at the Carrier Dome.

3/5/15 - Despite the fact that Billy Joel hasn’t written a song in more than twenty years, he remains one of the most relevant pop artists out there. His repertoire is so large that it’s impossible to sing every fan favorite in just one show, despite the fact that he usually performs for at least two hours. On stage, an eight-piece band typically accompanies him as he plays piano and sings. Many of the members have been touring with him since the beginning, and that familiarity and camaraderie are apparent as they occasionally veer from the set list to do an audience request or a cover, making each show something truly special and unique. He will be at Madison Square Garden, where he is a regular performer, on Monday, March 9. Get your tickets from us for only $47.

2/23/15 - As his 2015 tour continues, seasoned rocker Billy Joel made headlines of a different variety last weekend. Joel recently agreed to buy an expansive Manalapan, FL estate to the tune of a modest $22 million. This purchase, which was featured as one of 25 most expensive south Florida listings, is a new addition to the two adjacent properties he already owns. His compound will now cover eight acres and reach from Lake Worth to the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps the Piano Man is building his Floridian retreat to escape to after he completes his 2015 tour in New York later this year. He will play 20 more shows around the country before his tour concludes at Madison Square Garden on November 19. Tickets are available on Razorgator in varying quantities and prices for all remaining shows.

2/16/15 - After months of anticipation, rock icon Billy Joel made his triumphant return to New York City this Wednesday to perform at a sold out Madison Square Garden. The show marked Joel’s second appearance in New York this year, having previously played at Madison Square Garden on January 9. The legendary rocker belted out such hits as “Vienna,” “Pressure,” and “A Matter of Trust.” The show wouldn’t have been complete, of course, without an emphatic rendition of “The Piano Man,” to which the entire sold out audience sang along. After a brief break, Joel will head to Atlanta, GA where he will play at Phillips Arena on February 28. Tickets are still available in limited quantities here on Razorgator, so be sure to get yours before they’re gone.

2/9/15 - With just a week to go until The Piano Man heads to a nearly sold-out Madison Square Garden for his highly anticipated return to New York, fans awaiting his performance can discuss a complete list of 121 Billy Joel songs ranked in order from best to worst recently published online. The list puts hit “We Didn’t Start the Fire” near the bottom, which Joel admits is not one of his favorites. “Piano Man,” one of Joel’s most loved and well-known hits, came in at just number 15 on the list, while “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant” took first place. Whether you agree or disagree with the results, don’t miss your chance to see this legendary performer live on tour. Tickets are still available to the show in New York as well as others right here on Razorgator.

2/5/15 - The Piano Man himself, Billy Joel, just released major news for fans in the Carolinas. Although they will still have to wait a while to catch a glimpse of the musical icon, Joel recently added a show at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte on December 5th later this year. As of now, this is his one and only stop in the Carolinas. It also marks the first time Joel has visited Charlotte since he performed with Elton John to a sold out crowd in 2009. Tickets are expected to sell rapidly for this year’s show, too. Don’t miss your chance to see the Piano Man live in concert! Tickets of varying prices are still available for most tour dates and locations right here on Razorgator.

1/26/15 - Rock legend Billy Joel dazzled fans at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Thursday night on the kickoff of his 2015 tour. Fans were especially excited, as it was the first time Joel had performed in Dallas in seven years. His voice was as powerful as ever as he opened with recent rock hit “A Matter of Trust” and belted out classic hits like “Pressure,” “Vienna,” and of course “Piano Man.” Joel also proved he hasn’t lost his touch on the piano, making his signature power ballads look easy and effortless. The Piano Man will head to Miami, Florida on January 31 for the next stop of his tour. Tickets for that show and others are still available through Razorgator at varying prices.

1/23/15 - Exciting things continue to happen in legendary rocker Billy Joel’s tour lineup. Last week it was announced that he would be headlining the popular music festival, Bonnaroo. This week, Billy Joel announced that he would add additional shows in Philadelphia and San Francisco. He will perform at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia on August 13. Later, he will head to San Francisco’s AT&T Park to headline a concert on September 5. West coast fans should be excited for the performance, as this is Joel’s first headliner concert in San Francisco in four decades. It will also be the only live appearance for the Piano Man in California this year. Tickets go on sale on January 30 for both recently added shows and are expected to sell out fast.

1/14/15 - The highly anticipated lineup for the 2015 Bonnaroo music festival has been announced, and among the headliners is a Billy Joel! The event will be held June 11-14, 2015 in Tennessee and will include 12 stages and over 125 performing bands. This will be Joel’s first time appearing at the festival. The exact date and time of his performance has not yet been announced, but tickets for Bonnaroo will go on sale starting Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. If you have other summer plans during that time, don’t fret. Joel is giving concerts all over the country, and can always been seen at this residency concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC. He will be seen next at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Jan. 22. Tickets for that show start at $42.

1/7/15 - Madison Square Garden and Billy Joel recently announced an additional scheduled concert date at the New York City arena. The Oct. 21 date has been added to the other 21 shows at the respected venue in order to keep up with the demand to see this musical legend perform live. Joel is one of the most respected singers in the music industry, and audiences all over the world revere him. For fans who don’t live close to NYC, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member will also be in other cities across the US on this tour. Tickets for the Jan. 9 performance at Madison Square Garden are available for $85. On Jan. 22, the artist will be in Dallas, TX. Tickets for that performance start at just $43.

12/29/14 - Billy Joel has had a standout career that has spanned several decades and generations. Although he hasn’t released any new records since 1993, the artist’s music still resonates with fans of all ages, and he continues to be one of the most successful performers of all time. As a songwriter, piano player and singer, he has chronicled the events of his life through his music, and this year his fans will have the chance to see him perform many of his greatest hits. The first of his 2015 concerts will be held at the renowned Madison Square Gardens in New York City. There are only 500 tickets still available for that show, with a starting price of just over $100. He will then take the stage in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center on Jan. 22. Ticket prices start at $63.

12/23/14 - Billy Joel is one of the rare artists whose appeal spans several generations. His hits like “Only The Good Die Young” and “Vienna” are equally enjoyed by people of all ages. Children may also know his voice from the Disney movie soundtrack to “Oliver and Company” with the song “Why Should I Worry?”. To honor Billy Joel’s accomplishments, PBS hosted a night of performances in celebration of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song that he received. The program will premier on January 2 and features performances by Tony Bennett, Gavin DeGraw, Josh Groban, and more. It is not too late to spend New Years Eve with Billy Joel in Orlando, Florida. Tickets for the December 31 show at the Amway Center start at $52.

12/15/14 - Few modern artists have demonstrated the ability to resonate with multiple generations in the manner that Billy Joel has. With a thriving career that has lasted 30 years and counting, the “Piano Man” continues to captivate fans the world over with his intense tickling of the ivories and his poetic and masterful songs and lyrics. From “Only the Good Die Young” to “Uptown Girl” and everything in between, Joel has managed to make music that makes waves long after its release. Pre-holiday plans for Joel include a show at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden, but don’t stress if you don’t have tickets to see him take the stage that night, because he’s got a wide array of tour dates coming up in the year ahead.

2014 Tour

12/10/14 - Performing at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania last Friday, the “Piano Man” himself Billy Joel handpicked several hits from his musical catalogue to present to his admiring fans. Proving he’s still a rock star even after five decades of performing, Joel amazed the audience with “Vienna,” started a remarkable encore with “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” and brought their audience to their feet as he ended with “Only the Good Die Young.” Joel performs again next week, playing at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York on December 18th at 8 pm. Tickets are still available, and with prices starting as low as $142, seeing this legend play his piano and sing in person is something you don’t want to miss.

12/1/14 - Deciding which songs to put on the concert playlist may be difficult for piano man Billy Joel. With over 40 years of hits up his sleeve, choosing favorites could take a while. A Rolling Stone article released this week takes a stab at it. Fred Schruers, author of Billy Joel: The Definitive Biography, selected a dozen of his favorite songs, with most of them coming from Joel’s early works. From “Turnstiles” he chose “Say Goodbye to Hollywood” and “I’ve Loved These Days.” From 1977’s “The Stranger,” he named “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).” Schruer said “Allentown” from “The Nylon Curtain” ties as best song from the best album. You may hear some of those picks when Joel performs in concert this month in Pennsylvania, New York and Florida. Tickets start at $66.

11/24/14 - The Gershwin Prize for Songwriting was awarded to beloved artist Billy Joel at a tribute concert November 19th, held in Washington DC. In response to the award, Joel stated that he felt especially honored since Gershwin is one of his heroes. With a stellar career that began in the 1960s, Joel is one of the most celebrated and beloved singers and songwriters. He will begin a tour of the United States on November 27th, kicking it off in New York City at Madison Square Garden. The famed piano player has recently become a regular of the venue, and will perform there at least once a month for an indefinite period of time. Tickets for upcoming shows can be purchased now, with prices beginning at $152 for the NYC shows, and $51 for other locations.

9/29/14 - Always wanted to see the Piano Man? Maybe he’s on your bucket list, or maybe you’ve caught one of his live YouTube videos. Well, you still have a chance to see Billy Joel in his 2014 Madison Square Garden residence, with concerts coming up on November 25 and December 18. 9/17/14 - Need some last minute tickets to Billy Joel’s concert tonight? 9/17/14 - Billy Joel tickets for his September show at Madison Square Garden have dropped back down in price, and now sit at a $141 minimum (9/17). The crooner recently debuted a duet with Barbra Streisand, from her highly anticipated new album Partners. The New Yorkers paired up to sing “New York State of Mind”—a fitting song for the Long Island and Brooklyn natives. You can hear the song when Streisand releases her record on Sept. 16, or hear it in person one day later with Billy Joel tickets!

8/29/14 - Billy Joel is used to receiving honors for his work, but this latest distinction may be one of his most special yet. The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), has selected Joel—among fellow consummate musicians Stevie Wonder, Joan Baez, Stephen Sondheim and Garth Brooks—to receive the Centennial Award in celebration of ASCAP’s 100th anniversary. The Piano Man will receive his accolade on November 17 at a gala in New York, which falls about one week before his November 25 performance at Madison Square Garden. Billy Joel tickets for his 11/25 MSG performance start at $149 in the 200 Level.

8/22/14 – Billy Joel’s September concert at Madison Square Garden have jumped up in price, just about $10—from a $143 to $152 minimum. These shows have been met with stellar reviews and Joel frequently lines up a surprise for concertgoers, whether it’s a duet with Boyz II Men, a serenade to ex-wife Christie Brinkley or a birthday bash on stage. This consummate entertainer is always in high demand, so make the most of these dog days of summer and lock in Billy Joel tickets today!

8/13/14 – Always a charmer, Billy Joel surprised fans—and his ex-wife—when he serenaded Christie Brinkley last week to the tune of “Uptown Girl.” The exes have remained friends over the years, and Joel paid tribute to front-row fan Brinkley, who was also the subject of his chart-topping hit’s 1983 music video. Buy Billy Joel tickets for his monthly concert series at MSG to catch raw moments like these! The get-in price for the September 2014 edition stands at $143 for 400 Level seats.

8/7/14 – Were you one of the lucky fans to score Billy Joel tickets and see the Piano Man on his baseball stadium tour? Joel wrapped up his summer run with last week’s Aug. 2 Citizens Bank Park concert in Philadelphia, featuring homegrown group Boyz II Men. Don't worry, you can still see the Piano Man during his Madison Square Garden residency. Buy Billy Joel tickets for tonight’s show in New York for a minimum of $274 in the Balcony.

7/10/14 – No stranger to the highest of accolades, Billy Joel will now be receiving an award that will undoubtedly be among the most cherished of his career. The Library of Congress is awarding Joel the Gershwin Prize for Popular Song; a lifetime achievement honor granted to songwriters whose work embodies “the standard of excellence associated with George and Ira Gershwin.” In fitting coincidence, the “Piano Man” played our nation’s capital over the weekend, in front of a sold-out crowd at Nationals Park. The legendary singer will play Citizens Bank Park this Saturday, and tickets are still available for a $129 get-in price in the Terrace Deck.

7/21/14 – Not that we needed any confirmation, but Billy Joel has been voted king of Long Island! The Piano Man won Newsday’s “That’s SO Long Island” competition, which set foods, attractions, celebrities and more against each other, leaving it all up to a public vote. Billy Joel beat out icons like Jones Beach Theatre, bagels and Billy Crystal to take the crown. Lock down Billy Joel tickets and see the Oyster Bay legend when he returns to New York on Aug. 7; get-in for $148 in the 200 Level.

7/17/14 – Want to see the Piano Man on the road this month? Billy Joel tickets for his upcoming show at Wrigley Field are the cheapest you can purchase! This Friday (7/18), Joel will play the legendary Chicago venue and the get-in price is $51. Although there was speculation of a cancellation after Joel’s mother, and inspiration behind “Rosalinda’s Eyes,” passed away last week, the Chicago show will continue as scheduled. Billy Joel will travel to Washington, DC (7/26) and Philadelphia (8/2) before returning to New York City in August to resume his Madison Square Garden residency.

7/11/14 - Billy Joel is battling Billy Crystal to be crowned king of Long Island in Newsday’s “That’s SO Long Island” competition. The Piano Man has proven to be the “Big Shot” through four rounds of voting in the race to find the boardwalk’s most notable icon. We’re betting on Joel, whose residency at The World’s Most Famous Arena is the first of it’s kind. Score Billy Joel tickets for his next Madison Square Garden performance: Aug 7 at a $115 minimum.

7/2/14 – Last Friday, Billy Joel visited Fenway Park for a huge concert that has since been met with platinum reviews. Every Bostonian in the crowd undoubtedly speculated whether the Piano Man would break into his famous “New York State of Mind” in the home of the Red Sox, but what he did was precisely what you’d expect from the first-class “Entertainer.” Billy Joel brought up a local 13-year-old fan to sing his iconic Big Apple tune to the lyrics of the New Englanders version of the song, called “Boston State of Mind.” Written in the aftermath of the Marathon Bombing to help raise money for the One Fund, the crowd-pleasing “wicked happy and honored” teen sang lead while Joel played piano. To have your own wicked good time, buy Billy Joel tickets when he returns from touring this August at his Madison Square Garden residency!

6/26/14 – Billy Joel is taking a break from his residency at Madison Square Garden to play a showstopper over at Fenway Park tonight! You can still buy Billy Joel tickets for tonight’s 6PM concert at America’s most beloved ballpark: pay a $115 minimum to sit in the Dugout, or shell out $129 for Grandstand seats. There are less than 100 tickets available for the Piano Man’s show tonight. Will he play “New York State of Mind” even in the home of the Red Sox? Find out yourself with Billy Joel tickets!

6/18/14 – Billy Joel, known ubiquitously as the “Piano Man,” has something to say about his favorite instrument. Joel is appalled by the killing of elephants in order to make ivory piano keys and has taken a public stand against the practice. A law proposed in New York would ban ivory trade, which accounts for the saving of about 96 elephants per day. Joel released a statement that included: “Music should never be used as an excuse to destroy an endangered species. Music should be a celebration of life—not an instrument of death.” See this passionate humanitarian play live with Billy Joel tickets.

6/11/14- Still on the hunt for the perfect Father’s Day gift this year? Buy your dad Billy Joel tickets so that he can see the legendary artist live! Joel commands an eight person band and plays 24 songs from his endless catalogue of hits, including “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” “Still Rock N’ Roll to Me,” “Big Shot” and more. In his recent interview with Howard Stern, Joel revealed he never wanted to be a rock star; he wanted to be a songwriter instead. Well, it’s a good thing he stuck to the studio and the stage because Joel’s residency at The Garden is unparalleled! Buy Billy Joel tickets now and see this star rock the mic live!

6/3/14 - Billy Joel re-released an expanded edition of "A Matter of Trust: The Bridge to Russia- The Concert," with 11 previously unreleased songs in addition to the groundbreaking original content. Billboard marks the effort as the legend's 25th chart entry and ninth consecutive album of original cuts. "A Matter of Trust" brings back to life the historic invite-only tour of Russia that Joel embarked on during the midst of Cold War tensions. Hear these timeless songs and watch the Piano Man perform live yourself with Billy Joel tickets! This weekend, the apt "Entertainer" will hit the Strip for a concert in Las Vegas at the MGM; get-in for a $146 minimum (6/7).

5/21/14 - Billy Joel played his first concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, a venue as iconic as the singer himself, too much praise. The night was full of Tinseltown references such as, "Here's a song I wrote when I was working at Wilshire & Western" before delving into "Piano Man." The concert on 5/17 was so lauded that Billy Joel tickets to see the singer at the same Hollywood venue are in high demand! Los Angeles Billy Joel tickets for his return dates this month have jumped up in price; get-in for $127 on 5/22 and $80 on 5/27.

5/13/14- Billy Joel celebrated his 65th birthday with a concert at Madison Square Garden last Friday. Howard Stern, Paul Rudd, Sting, Gavin DeGraw, Jimmy Fallon and more helped ring in the icon's birthday in his home town. The concert benefitted Long Island's North Shore Animal League shelter, as Beth Stern and Billy's girlfriend Alexis brought puppies out onto the stage—what a fun night! Get your Billy Joel tickets and be a part of priceless moments like these when the legend takes a stage near you!

5/6/14 - Billy Joel may hail from the Bronx, but you've got to see the singer perform in his second home of Hollywood! The Piano Man wouldn't be the artist he is today if it weren't for his career-changing move to Los Angeles, where he composed "Piano Man." Billy Joel tickets at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles are as low as $76 on 5/17, $57 on 5/22 and $73 on 5/27.

4/30/14 - The people want more Piano Man! Since his Madison Square Garden residency first began, Billy Joel tickets have grown in demand across the county! Tickets to see Billy Joel average $354 per concert—including MSG shows through December and his mini trek from Los Angeles (5/17) to Philadelphia (8/2).

4/24/14 – Interest for Billy Joel New York tickets has not slowed down since his New York residency began. On the secondary market, prices to see the Piano Man in NYC average $455 while Billy Joel tour tickets outside the concrete jungle average $274. Bill Joel Los Angeles tickets for the three Hollywood Bowl shows in May range from $60-$1799 and average $351, $335, and $327 (in that order). Billy Joel Wrigley Field tickets have the cheapest average price at $222, one of four ball parks the singer will visit this Summer (Nationals Park, Citizens Park, Fenway Park).

With unforgettable hits like “Piano Man“, “Big Shot” and “Just The Way You Are,“ singer/songwriter Billy Joel has been a constant in the hearts of rock n' rollers, penning memorable lyrics and genius melodies that weld his blues bar/jazz lounge roots, classical training and Broadway reverence into tunes that “transcended time.” In fact, the gifted pianist’s popularity grew so huge that The Stranger became Columbia Record’s top-selling album, and Joel tied The Beatles for most multi-platinum albums in the United States.

The “We Didn’t Start The Fire” singer is to receive a lifetime achievement Kennedy Center Honor later this year, historically known as the highest honor an artist can be granted in the States. And though the Piano Man has not been on the road since performing in early 2010 with Elton john in a co-headlining tour, Joel has slowly made his return to live music, performing at numerous benefits and touring overseas, before deciding to play a string of shows on the East Coast in 2014.

Surprising fans everywhere, the icon has just announced an unprecedented residency at Madison Square Garden, the Bronx-native’s long-time home-away-from-home. His exclusive stay will be an indefinite monthly spectacle, effectively becoming MSG’s first-ever franchise musician. Initially the Piano Man lined up four shows at the Garden in 2014, in addition to four dates in Florida and one at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Florida shows are the cheapest of the bunch, starting at about $75, while most expensive minimum price is Billy Joel New York tickets at Barclays for $185. You'll pay much less for Billy Joel Los Angeles tickets where the legendary artist started his career as a lounge pianist. Do not miss this living legend as he reimagines hits new and old!
