Billy Joel 2015 Tour
9/28/15 - If you haven’t had your chance to catch Billy Joel live in concert this year, you still have five more opportunities to do so. The Piano man is currently on hiatus for several weeks to enjoy some downtime with his growing family. Don’t worry, though, because he’ll be back and ready to perform on Wednesday, October 21 at his favorite Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. Tickets to the October 21 show currently begin at $82 and there are more than 1000 still available. After that, he’ll head down to Houston, TX to make an appearance at the Toyota Center on Friday, November 6. Tickets currently start at $85.
9/21/15 - Just like the year itself, Billy Joel’s lengthy 2015 tour is winding down. There are just six more shows scheduled before the end of the year, and most of them will take place at Joel’s favorite Madison Square Garden. The first of the final shows takes place this Saturday, September 26 at the New York Venue. Tickets to tomorrow’s show are still widely available and currently start at $85. If you are going to be in New York this weekend, do not miss your chance to see the Piano Man himself live in concert. Joel will take nearly a month off after Saturday’s show before making yet another performance at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, October 21. Tickets to that show currently start at $68.
9/14/15 - Billy Joel took the stage last week at the Pepsi Center in Denver and sure looked good while doing so. Dressed in a dark suit and sporting a clean-shaven head and well-groomed, white goatee, this classy superstar wowed the fans at the packed arena. After recovering from the show, which clearly left him exhausted, he traveled to his home state of New York to commemorate the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Vice President Biden, who was also in attendance, honored Joel by stating he helped the country learn to heal with music. Joel will remain in the Big Apple for the next couple weeks until a scheduled concert at Madison Square Garden on Sept. 26. Seating behind the stage is available starting at $71, but if you want a better view prices start at $124.
9/7/15 - When you go to a Billy Joel concert, there are certain songs you expect to hear, but there are also songs that you desperately wish to hear. Joel has made a triumphant return to the stage in recent years, and is proving his skill at finding that perfect balance of number-one hits and the deeper cuts that make for a great set. Of course, he plays classics such as “Uptown Girl” and “Just The Way You Are,” but he has also been pulling out lesser-heard tunes such as “Running On Ice,” “Sleeping With The Television On” and “No Man’s Land.” Join the fans in Denver, Colorado, for a concert at the Pepsi Center on Wednesday, Sept. 16. Tickets are available starting at $48 for seats in the upper balcony.
8/31/15 - New father and “Piano Man” Billy Joel is winding down his 2015 tour, with just eight stops to go until the final show on Thursday, December 17 at Madison Square Garden. He’ll be making his way back from San Francisco, where his next show will take place on Saturday, September 5, across the country to New York before wrapping up his hit tour. No matter where in the country you live, you won’t want to miss Joel as his tour concludes. He’s known for his surprises, and that was certainly true at his last show in Chicago when comedienne Amy Schumer and Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence suddenly appeared on stage to dance to “Uptown Girls.” Tickets to Saturday’s show at AT&T Park in San Francisco start at $47.
8/26/15 - Billy Joel may be a born and raised New Yorker, but this week he was more than happy to be in the Windy City for a show at Wrigley Field. The sports venue is a really fun place to see a show, and, if ticket sales were any indication, the music fans in Chicago were really excited he was there, too. There were even some celebrities in attendance! Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence filmed themselves singing and dancing alongside Joel to “Uptown Girl” at a concert rehearsal before the main event. The next show in the tour isn’t until late next week, giving the singer some time to spend with family. The Saturday, Sept. 5 show is scheduled for the AT&T Park in San Francisco, California. Tickets can be purchased now for $52 and up.
8/19/15 - The Piano Man Billy Joel is taking a brief break from his ongoing tour to enjoy time with his wife, Alexis, and their new daughter Della Ray, but his name is still in the spotlight. Actor Kevin Spacey stopped by the Tonight Show this week to tell host Jimmy Fallon about one of his favorite moments with the famed singer-songwriter. Joel was receiving the Gershwin Prize and Spacey was invited to play the intro to “Piano Man” on the harmonica. Spacey said that although he did not really know how to play the harmonica, he agreed to learn the part for the evening. Come catch Joel when he hits the road again. His next show is tonight at Madison Square Garden. Tickets start at $179.
8/10/15 - Billy Joel has officially become a father for the second time! At 66 years old, he and his new wife, Alexis, have welcomed their brand new baby girl to the world and named her Della Ray. The first photographs were shared just a few hours ago, and she is a doll! Joel has one other daughter, a 29-year-old named Alexa who is a singer/songwriter just like her dad. Billy and his wife will take a little more time to adjust being new parents, but on Aug. 20 he will return to the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York City as a part of the once a month gig has going on with the venue. Tickets are on sale now with prices starting at $114.
8/3/15 - The Piano Man had the immense honor of performing the final concert at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island on Tuesday night. The Coliseum originally opened in 1972 and has seen the likes of musical legends including Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Elvis Presley. On Tuesday, however, it was Billy Joel who took the stage in front of a sold out crowd to perform three hours and 20 minutes of hits. Joel opened, appropriately, with “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)” and only escalated the energy from there. He also had a few surprises for fans in attendance, including a cameo by another legendary songwriter. Paul Simon appeared on stage and performed “Homeward Bound” with Joel, sending the crowd erupting into cheers. Don’t miss Joel’s next show on Thursday night at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PA.
7/20/15 - Brooklyn native Billy Joel has big plans for one legendary venue in his hometown. The Nassau Coliseum is 43 years old and will be shutting down soon for a remodel, and Joel recently hinted at what he was planning for the send-off concert. It sounds like he will be inviting other artists who have ties to the old arena to perform along with him at the Aug. 4 event. These are huge names like Paul McCartney and Tony Bennett! You can get your tickets for the exciting upcoming performance from us for the starting price of $107. If you don’t want to wait until then to see the Piano Man, you can also catch him on Saturday, July 25 at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. We also have tickets for that concert available for $95 and up.
7/13/15 - Billy Joel loves the game of baseball and it shows through his lyrics and all of the ballpark locations he is playing at this summer as he tours. Not only does Billy Joel play at the famous Fenway Park in Boston, MA on July 16, but he is also scheduled to hit the stage at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL on August 27. While he is on tour, the super star singer is going to take advantage of all the perks her can get, and performing on baseball diamonds is one of them. His tour doesn’t wrap up until December of this year, so you have a lot of opportunities to get your Billy Joel fix in before the year is over. We still have tickets available for all concert locations, so get yours today.
7/6/15 - Did you hear that Billy Joel got married on Saturday? If you didn’t, don’t feel bad. Not many people knew, as the superstar kept the whole thing under wrap. He married Alexis Roderick after six years of dating. At the ceremony Joel’s daughter, Alexa, who is a budding artist herself, presented a poem that touched on the joy she felt at the union. The newlyweds are expecting another daughter later this year. Joel will be back on stage late next week, as he is scheduled for a concert at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday, July 16. The show is scheduled to begin at 6:30PM and we have tickets still available for purchase. Prices start at $99 and go up from there. Come congratulate the groom and enjoy a great night of music!
6/29/15 - On Wednesday night, Billy Joel performed for the 65th time at Madison Square Garden and by doing so, has officially broken the record for most concerts by a single artist at the venue. MSG has become somewhat of a second home for the Piano Man, who grew up in nearby Brooklyn. The show was full of all the energy you would expect from a man who has accomplished so much in his career. While he mostly played piano and sang, he also proved his chops on the guitar and the harmonica. He will travel to Boston on July 16, where he will play a show at Fenway Park. Tickets are available for $81 and up. His next concert at Madison Square Garden is set for Aug. 20.
6/22/15 - Billy Joel may be one of the most famous musicians of all time, but even he changes his plans when someone as important as Pope Francis comes to town. The singer, famous for songs such as “The Piano Man,” has graciously announced that he will change the date of a scheduled concert at Madison Square Garden from Sept. 25 to Sept. 26 in order to accommodate the visit from the revered religious leader. All those who purchased tickets before the change was announced can rest assured that their tickets are valid for the new date. Joel will be on stage at MSG on Wednesday, July 1 as a part of residency concert at the New York venue. Tickets for that show are available now at the starting price of $98.
6/15/15 - Closing out the Bonnaroo music festival is an honor for any artist, and this year that honor went to Billy Joel, who played many of his best hits to the enormous crowd. After nostalgia-inducing renditions of songs such as “Piano Man,” “Uptown Girls,” “She’s Always A Woman” and “It’s Still Rock and Roll To Me,” he switched things up a bit and decided to cover AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell.” The fact that Joel hasn’t recorded or performed new work in the last 20 years hasn’t affected the caliber of his performances; his timeless songs and superb stage presence make him a multi-generational fan favorite and he has no trouble selling out huge arenas. Up next is a performance at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, June 20. Get your tickets starting at $61.
6/8/15 - The Piano Man delivered a superb show in Virginia Beach on Saturday, dazzling and humoring crowds at the Farm Bureau Live. At one point during the show, he pretended to hang his head in shame as he said “I got nothing new for you.” You could hear fans laughing all throughout the audience, as Joel hasn’t released any new music in well over 20 years. He also pleased fans by letting them choose between different songs that they wanted to hear. They ultimately chose “Vienna,” a song with heavy Beatles influences off of The Stranger album. Joel of course closed the night down with “Piano Man,” inviting the audience to sing the final verse. Voices of thousands of fans were heard signing in unison as the evening drew to a close.
6/1/15 - Playing a show at the infamous Madison Square Garden is impressive, but doing so over 60 times is superbly impressive. There are only two artists to have accomplished the latter: Billy Joel and Elton John. Later this month, Joel is set to tie John’s record for playing at the venue a whopping 64 times, and in July, he will surpass that achievement. With his semi-residency concert at the NYC arena, Joel is scheduled to play at what he calls “my home away from home” once a month for the time being. On Saturday, June 6, he will be playing at the Farm Bureau Live at Virginia Beach. Tickets are still available for that performance, and prices start at $136. Those who wish to see the historic MSG concert will have to wait until June 20, and those seats start at $85.
5/25/15 - Classic rocker Billy Joel took a brief break from his ongoing 2015 Tour to attend a special ceremony last Friday. Joel attended the commencement ceremony for graduates of Stony Brook University, where he received an honorary doctorate degree in music. He also addressed the graduating class, telling them that they are wasting their time if they are not doing what they love. Joel also acknowledged that he considers himself extremely lucky to be doing what he loves, as he discovered he wanted to become a musician at a very early age. Come see the Piano Man and brand new Doctor of Music when he takes the stage at Madison Square Garden this Thursday, May 28. Tickets continue to be available in varying prices and quantities.
5/21/15 - The Piano Man himself visited Minneapolis on Saturday, thrilling a sold out Target Center of some 19,000 fans along his extensive 2015 tour. Iconic rocker Billy Joel proved he’s still going strong, even following a brief break from the tour to relish in the exciting news that he and his girlfriend are expecting a baby girl. Joel appeared refreshed and relaxed at Saturday’s show, even stopping several times during the high-energy performance to reminisce and crack jokes. “My Life” was the show opener, followed by an inspired collection of hits including “Pressure,” “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song) and even the obscure fan-chosen “The Downeaster ‘Alexa.’” Joel’s next stop takes place next Thursday, when he takes the stage once again at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.
5/11/15 - Fans of Billy Joel receive a memorable experience every time they go to see him on concert, and his latest tour is no exception. His appearance at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, has another reason to be special. This will be the 32nd time Bill Joel plays this arena, and it will be the last event prior to its closing down for a major renovation. The New York Islanders hockey team are moving to Brooklyn, so the city is turning the arena into a new center that will focus on staging entertainment shows. This is not the first time that Billy Joel has been the last act at a legendary stadium; he also closed down Shea Stadium in 2008. Tickets to all shows are still on sale, with prices starting at $114.
4/21/15 - Following last week’s announcement that Billy Joel and his girlfriend Alexis Roderick are expecting a baby, Joel’s 29-year-old daughter added to the exciting news that the baby is a girl! Using the hashtag #themorethemerrier, Alexa, who is also a singer and songwriter, gushed that her best friends have always been her siblings, and she is excited to once again be a big sister. The father-to-be will also be receiving an honorary doctorate degree in music from Stony Brook University next month. This is a huge honor for the accomplished and revered musician, who has donated two grand pianos to the music department. You can celebrate both of these happy events alongside Billy Joel at the May 1 concert in Kansas City, MO. Our tickets will set you back just $85 and up.
4/15/15 - As the iconic Piano Man Billy Joel takes a brief hiatus from his widely successful 2015 news, the singer recently announced some very exciting news. Joel and his longtime girlfriend Alexis Roderick told reporters today that they are expecting their first child together. This is the couple’s first child together, although it’s not the first time Joel has been a dad-to-be. The new addition is due this summer. There are no reports on whether or not Joel expects to take time off when the baby is born, but at the present he expects to continue on all scheduled tour stops. Come support the expecting father and Piano Man himself at his next stop, which will takes place on May 1 at the Spirit Center in Kansas City, MO.
4/6/15 - Billy Joel has been making a tremendous impact on the music industry ever since he got his start in 1973, but his influence is extending to a rather unexpected place this year. A Long Island law school is holding a conference based on the lyrics of many of Joel’s songs, and organizers are planning lectures with titles such as “How the Rules of Evidence Handcuff the Piano Man.” While some may not take the conference seriously, it sure sounds more interesting than hearing about legal briefs! Luckily, you don’t have to attend that event to learn about Billy Joel songs; he is coming to concert in a city near you! His next appearance will be on Friday, May 1 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO. Get your tickets today for $37 and up.
3/12/15 - The reviews are in for Monday night’s concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC, and they are virtually unanimous: Billy Joel was simply sensational. Despite being a regular performer at the venue and across the world, he has a knack for making each performance something special, and Monday night at The Garden was no exception. Of course he played all of his greatest hits, including “Piano Man,” “Uptown Girl,” “Movin’ Out,” and “Only the Good Die Young,” but the audience was also surprised with an appearance by world-famous violinist, Yitzhak Perlman for a lovely rendition of “Downeaster Alexa.” Joel will take a break for the next week or so before his next concert, which is scheduled on March 20 in Syracuse, NY at the Carrier Dome.
3/5/15 - Despite the fact that Billy Joel hasn’t written a song in more than twenty years, he remains one of the most relevant pop artists out there. His repertoire is so large that it’s impossible to sing every fan favorite in just one show, despite the fact that he usually performs for at least two hours. On stage, an eight-piece band typically accompanies him as he plays piano and sings. Many of the members have been touring with him since the beginning, and that familiarity and camaraderie are apparent as they occasionally veer from the set list to do an audience request or a cover, making each show something truly special and unique. He will be at Madison Square Garden, where he is a regular performer, on Monday, March 9. Get your tickets from us for only $47.
2/23/15 - As his 2015 tour continues, seasoned rocker Billy Joel made headlines of a different variety last weekend. Joel recently agreed to buy an expansive Manalapan, FL estate to the tune of a modest $22 million. This purchase, which was featured as one of 25 most expensive south Florida listings, is a new addition to the two adjacent properties he already owns. His compound will now cover eight acres and reach from Lake Worth to the Atlantic Ocean. Perhaps the Piano Man is building his Floridian retreat to escape to after he completes his 2015 tour in New York later this year. He will play 20 more shows around the country before his tour concludes at Madison Square Garden on November 19. Tickets are available on Razorgator in varying quantities and prices for all remaining shows.
2/16/15 - After months of anticipation, rock icon Billy Joel made his triumphant return to New York City this Wednesday to perform at a sold out Madison Square Garden. The show marked Joel’s second appearance in New York this year, having previously played at Madison Square Garden on January 9. The legendary rocker belted out such hits as “Vienna,” “Pressure,” and “A Matter of Trust.” The show wouldn’t have been complete, of course, without an emphatic rendition of “The Piano Man,” to which the entire sold out audience sang along. After a brief break, Joel will head to Atlanta, GA where he will play at Phillips Arena on February 28. Tickets are still available in limited quantities here on Razorgator, so be sure to get yours before they’re gone.
2/9/15 - With just a week to go until The Piano Man heads to a nearly sold-out Madison Square Garden for his highly anticipated return to New York, fans awaiting his performance can discuss a complete list of 121 Billy Joel songs ranked in order from best to worst recently published online. The list puts hit “We Didn’t Start the Fire” near the bottom, which Joel admits is not one of his favorites. “Piano Man,” one of Joel’s most loved and well-known hits, came in at just number 15 on the list, while “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant” took first place. Whether you agree or disagree with the results, don’t miss your chance to see this legendary performer live on tour. Tickets are still available to the show in New York as well as others right here on Razorgator.
2/5/15 - The Piano Man himself, Billy Joel, just released major news for fans in the Carolinas. Although they will still have to wait a while to catch a glimpse of the musical icon, Joel recently added a show at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte on December 5th later this year. As of now, this is his one and only stop in the Carolinas. It also marks the first time Joel has visited Charlotte since he performed with Elton John to a sold out crowd in 2009. Tickets are expected to sell rapidly for this year’s show, too. Don’t miss your chance to see the Piano Man live in concert! Tickets of varying prices are still available for most tour dates and locations right here on Razorgator.
1/26/15 - Rock legend Billy Joel dazzled fans at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Thursday night on the kickoff of his 2015 tour. Fans were especially excited, as it was the first time Joel had performed in Dallas in seven years. His voice was as powerful as ever as he opened with recent rock hit “A Matter of Trust” and belted out classic hits like “Pressure,” “Vienna,” and of course “Piano Man.” Joel also proved he hasn’t lost his touch on the piano, making his signature power ballads look easy and effortless. The Piano Man will head to Miami, Florida on January 31 for the next stop of his tour. Tickets for that show and others are still available through Razorgator at varying prices.
1/23/15 - Exciting things continue to happen in legendary rocker Billy Joel’s tour lineup. Last week it was announced that he would be headlining the popular music festival, Bonnaroo. This week, Billy Joel announced that he would add additional shows in Philadelphia and San Francisco. He will perform at Citizens Bank Park in South Philadelphia on August 13. Later, he will head to San Francisco’s AT&T Park to headline a concert on September 5. West coast fans should be excited for the performance, as this is Joel’s first headliner concert in San Francisco in four decades. It will also be the only live appearance for the Piano Man in California this year. Tickets go on sale on January 30 for both recently added shows and are expected to sell out fast.
1/14/15 - The highly anticipated lineup for the 2015 Bonnaroo music festival has been announced, and among the headliners is a Billy Joel! The event will be held June 11-14, 2015 in Tennessee and will include 12 stages and over 125 performing bands. This will be Joel’s first time appearing at the festival. The exact date and time of his performance has not yet been announced, but tickets for Bonnaroo will go on sale starting Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. If you have other summer plans during that time, don’t fret. Joel is giving concerts all over the country, and can always been seen at this residency concert at Madison Square Garden in NYC. He will be seen next at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on Jan. 22. Tickets for that show start at $42.
1/7/15 - Madison Square Garden and Billy Joel recently announced an additional scheduled concert date at the New York City arena. The Oct. 21 date has been added to the other 21 shows at the respected venue in order to keep up with the demand to see this musical legend perform live. Joel is one of the most respected singers in the music industry, and audiences all over the world revere him. For fans who don’t live close to NYC, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member will also be in other cities across the US on this tour. Tickets for the Jan. 9 performance at Madison Square Garden are available for $85. On Jan. 22, the artist will be in Dallas, TX. Tickets for that performance start at just $43.
12/29/14 - Billy Joel has had a standout career that has spanned several decades and generations. Although he hasn’t released any new records since 1993, the artist’s music still resonates with fans of all ages, and he continues to be one of the most successful performers of all time. As a songwriter, piano player and singer, he has chronicled the events of his life through his music, and this year his fans will have the chance to see him perform many of his greatest hits. The first of his 2015 concerts will be held at the renowned Madison Square Gardens in New York City. There are only 500 tickets still available for that show, with a starting price of just over $100. He will then take the stage in Dallas, Texas at the American Airlines Center on Jan. 22. Ticket prices start at $63.
12/23/14 - Billy Joel is one of the rare artists whose appeal spans several generations. His hits like “Only The Good Die Young” and “Vienna” are equally enjoyed by people of all ages. Children may also know his voice from the Disney movie soundtrack to “Oliver and Company” with the song “Why Should I Worry?”. To honor Billy Joel’s accomplishments, PBS hosted a night of performances in celebration of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song that he received. The program will premier on January 2 and features performances by Tony Bennett, Gavin DeGraw, Josh Groban, and more. It is not too late to spend New Years Eve with Billy Joel in Orlando, Florida. Tickets for the December 31 show at the Amway Center start at $52.
12/15/14 - Few modern artists have demonstrated the ability to resonate with multiple generations in the manner that Billy Joel has. With a thriving career that has lasted 30 years and counting, the “Piano Man” continues to captivate fans the world over with his intense tickling of the ivories and his poetic and masterful songs and lyrics. From “Only the Good Die Young” to “Uptown Girl” and everything in between, Joel has managed to make music that makes waves long after its release. Pre-holiday plans for Joel include a show at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden, but don’t stress if you don’t have tickets to see him take the stage that night, because he’s got a wide array of tour dates coming up in the year ahead.
12/10/14 - Performing at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania last Friday, the “Piano Man” himself Billy Joel handpicked several hits from his musical catalogue to present to his admiring fans. Proving he’s still a rock star even after five decades of performing, Joel amazed the audience with “Vienna,” started a remarkable encore with “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” and brought their audience to their feet as he ended with “Only the Good Die Young.” Joel performs again next week, playing at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York on December 18th at 8 pm. Tickets are still available, and with prices starting as low as $142, seeing this legend play his piano and sing in person is something you don’t want to miss.
12/1/14 - Deciding which songs to put on the concert playlist may be difficult for piano man Billy Joel. With over 40 years of hits up his sleeve, choosing favorites could take a while. A Rolling Stone article released this week takes a stab at it. Fred Schruers, author of Billy Joel: The Definitive Biography, selected a dozen of his favorite songs, with most of them coming from Joel’s early works. From “Turnstiles” he chose “Say Goodbye to Hollywood” and “I’ve Loved These Days.” From 1977’s “The Stranger,” he named “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song).” Schruer said “Allentown” from “The Nylon Curtain” ties as best song from the best album. You may hear some of those picks when Joel performs in concert this month in Pennsylvania, New York and Florida. Tickets start at $66.
11/24/14 - The Gershwin Prize for Songwriting was awarded to beloved artist Billy Joel at a tribute concert November 19th, held in Washington DC. In response to the award, Joel stated that he felt especially honored since Gershwin is one of his heroes. With a stellar career that began in the 1960s, Joel is one of the most celebrated and beloved singers and songwriters. He will begin a tour of the United States on November 27th, kicking it off in New York City at Madison Square Garden. The famed piano player has recently become a regular of the venue, and will perform there at least once a month for an indefinite period of time. Tickets for upcoming shows can be purchased now, with prices beginning at $152 for the NYC shows, and $51 for other locations.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), has selected Joel—among fellow consummate musicians Stevie Wonder, Joan Baez, Stephen Sondheim and Garth Brooks—to receive the Centennial Award in celebration of ASCAP’s 100th anniversary.
