Avett Brothers Tour News and Updates
The Avett Brothers are led by North Carolina siblings Scott and Seth, who compile sounds of folk, bluegrass and rock and roll into "honest" music—no bells or whistles, "just chords with real voices singing real melodies" as the band puts it. The brothers are accompanied by Bob Crawford (double bass), Joe Kwon (cello), Mike Marsh (drums) and Paul Delfigia (keyboard) for an all-encompassing music and familial experience at every live show.
The Avett Brothers emerged when Scott and Seth turned their attention away from rock project, Nemo, in favor of introducing a more country, ragtime and indie sound into their music, much like their influences, Bob Dylan, Crosby Still & Nash and Neil Young. The Brothers have released a number of EPs and live albums, along with eight full-length studio records, from their first Country Was (2002) to their most recent Magpie and the Dandelion (2013).
The Avetts enjoy playing live sets and sharing raw music with fans, and so, are perpetually on the road. This is rare in today's music world, so grab your Avett Brothers tickets when they come your way! In addition to their regular tour dates, the Avett Brothers will be hitting the music festival circuit, playing the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Bonnaroo, Hangout Music Festival and Lollapalooza. Catch the Avett Brothers in Rochester, Indianapolis, Tulsa, Morrison (two nights at Red Rocks), Alpharetta (two nights at Encore Park), Toledo and Bethlehem, before closing with three consecutive nights in Las Vegas (8/29-8/31).
