Aerosmith Tour News and Updates
2014 Let Rock Rule Tour
Aerosmith boasts boundless influence for rock musicians everywhere, from sound to attitude and stage antics. The Bad Boys of Boston have been a force in the music scene since the mid-1970s and helped define and give image to "the golden era of rock and roll" with classic songs "Walk This Way," "Dream On" and "Same Old Song and Dance." Comprised of Steven Tyler (included in Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Singers of All Time), Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford, the group made their place in history with a unique blend of rock music that has footing in funk, blues and glam metal.
Epitomizing the fast and furious rock n' roll lifestyle of 70s-sleaze, drugs and fall-out caused the group to disband and regroup multiple times. Through it all, Aerosmith has maintained their presence and relevancy in the business, collaborating with hip-hop legend Run DMC on "Walk This Way" in the eighties, receiving a Grammy for "Janie's Got a Gun" in the early nineties and releasing power pop ballads "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" and "Jaded" at the turn of the millennium. Aerosmith, thanks to their trademark sound and iconic look, are the recipients of countless accolades including induction into both the Songwriters and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The last time Aerosmith played at Los Angeles' Whisky a Go Go was in the 70s, but they hit the iconic stage yesterday (April 8) to perform a six-song set and announce a huge joint summer tour with fellow rock myth, Slash. Dubbed the "Let Rock Rule Tour," Aerosmith and the Guns N' Roses guitarist will hit the road July 10 in Wantagh, and crash through Mansfield, Las Vegas, Concord, Denver, Dallas, Atlantic City and more, before closing north of the border in Sydney, NS on Sept 12. Start a riot and join these legends live in 2014 with Aerosmith tickets!
