Kenny G Tour News and Updates

2014 Tour

Kenny G is a Grammy Award-winning saxophonist single-highhandedly responsible for bringing jazz back to the forefront of music. The musician, born Kenneth Gorelick, is known iconically for his curly head of hair as much as his signature instrument. The smooth sax man rose to popularity in the 1980s off of album Duotones, with memorable piece “Songbird.” Kenny G’s staying power at the top of the jazz contemporary charts can be attributed to his ability to fuse R&B, pop and Latin into his sultry jazz base.

Sounds from his famed soprano sax have wafted through the decades, with 23 albums and sales of over 75 million, including 45M in the US alone. Kenny G is also known for releasing the best-selling instrumental record of all time: 1994’s Breathless, which sold 15 million copies and spawned unforgettable composition “Forever in Love.” Kenny G is one of the only jazz musicians to break the pop charts; he gained international acclaim for his recordings with Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Michael Bolton, Natalie Coles, LeAnn Rimes, Babyface and more.

There are many opportunities to purchase Kenny G tickets, including the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater’s Summer Festival 2014 in Irvine (8/23), the Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth (1/23-1/25) and Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville (5/7-5/9). Hear unmistakable hits like the sax man’s acclaimed “Silhouette,” “Baby G,” “Midnight Motion” and “The Moment”—maybe you’ll even catch him breaking the world record for longest note held on saxophone again!
