2014 On The Run Tour

5/21/14 - Jay-Z and Beyoncé rocked the media when the couple released a fake movie trailer titled "RUN" in promotion of their brand new tour dates. While fans are petitioning the superstars to expand it into a full-length film, there's no word yet—meaning you'll just have to purchase Jay-Z tickets to see them on the stage this year! Extra tour dates have been added in Pasadena (8/3/14) and in San Francisco (8/6/14). As it stands, tickets for their second shows in LA and SF are far cheaper than the first nights: pay $145 (8 /2) versus $46 (8/3) at the Rose Bowl, or pay $102 (8/5) versus $59 (8/6) at AT&T Park.

4/28/14 - Hov will be "On the Run" with his better half this summer, for the power couple's first-ever co-headlining tour. The tour pays homage to Mr. & Mrs. Carter's hit song "03 Bonnie and Clyde" and will run through 16 major North American cities. Beyoncé and Jay-Z will kick things off June 25 in Miami and wrap up Aug 5 in San Francisco. Jay-Z tickets for "On the Run" are considerably cheaper than his previous solo trek: tickets for the "Magna Carter" Tour averaged $233, but "On the Run" tickets average just $194 a seat. 9/30/13 - Jay-Z announced his first solo tour since 2009, titled Magna Carter that currently includes 34 shows. Jay will make stops in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Canada. Based on ticket prices and early interest, Magna Carter is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated hip hop tours in recent memory. The average price of Jay Z tickets is $233; Magna Carter tickets are about 21% more expensive than Kanye's Yeezus tour which was announced the same week. In support of Magna Carta Holy Grail, Magna Carter tour starts at the end of November in St. Paul. Jay Z New York tickets are averaging $300 and $321 (in that order) for the rappers two Barclays performances. To compare, Jay Z Los Angeles tickets are $294.

7/16/13 - Jay-Z, the husband of 17-time Grammy winner Beyonce, has seen similar success himself building one of the most successful hip-hop empires in America. The last time we saw Jay Z on tour he was co-headlining with Rapper Kanye West in 2011 and 2012. The Watch the Throne Tour included 34 shows in North America, 11 more than originally scheduled due to a high demand of Kanye and Jay-Z tickets. Kanye and Jay-Z concert tour was the highest-grossing hip-hop tour and the eighth highest-grossing tour of 2011. Since the tour ended, Jay-Z performed 8 concerts to open the Barclays Center; all 8 shows sold out in a day. Barclays Center is home to NBA Brooklyn Nets, a team Jay-Z owned a small part of before selling his stake to focus on his Roc Nation sports agency.

Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z recently announced a 12 stadium tour that will bring the duo to Yankee Stadium (7/19), Soldier Field (7/22), the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles (7/28), and Fenway Park (8/10). Jay z Los Angeles tickets for the sold out show are averaging $455, the most expensive of the twelve Legends of the Summer tour dates. Timberlake also collaborated with Jay-Z on the album’s title track and first single “Holy Grail.” In addition to US tour dates, Jay-Z just announced 15 solo European tour dates in October to support his Magna Carta album, including three at the O2 Arena in London.
