2 Chainz Tour News and Updates
Though he recently rose to popularity as a rapper, 2 Chainz, born Tauheed Epps, is a veteran musician. Epps was one half of the southern hip-hop group Playaz Circle, which garnered fame in the late 2000s, but since going solo, 2 Chainz is experiencing celebrity like never before. Epps took over hip-hop a year ago with his explosive solo album, Based on a T.R.U. Story. The record released monster tracks “No Lie” and “Birthday Song” featuring hip-hop heavy weights Drake and Kanye West, and linked him with some of the decade’s most popular artists.
His debut album was certified gold with a number of platinum singles, and compelled the Atlanta-based rapper to drop his sophomore album, B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time, earlier this year. Epps’ enlarged fan base has called for the rapper to hit the road on a tour of his own, aptly dubbed the “2 Good to be T.R.U.” tour. 2 Chainz will be teaming up with Pusha T to take on North America from February to April, hitting Boston, NY, Seattle, LA, Las Vegas, Dallas, Miami and more in 2014.
The Grammy-nominated artist has tackled the road with the likes of Lil Wayne and Rihanna on her colossal Diamonds World Tour, and has built up a reputation as a memorable performer with friends in high places—so he’s sure to have all-star guests appear with him on stage. Being his first solo headlining tour, the 2 Good to be T.R.U. roadshow will be the artist’s biggest undertaking yet, so get your 2 Chainz tickets today to see rapper live, in his T.R.U.est form!
