Garth Brooks 2015 Tour News and Updates

6/18/15 - This week marked a very special anniversary for country king Garth Brooks. The singer signed with Capitol records 27 years ago, an event that launched one of the greatest music careers in history. What many don’t know, however, is that the label turned him down at first. After the letdown, Brooks was playing a show at the infamous Bluebird Café in Nashville, and one of the label’s top executives happened to be there. He knew that they had made a mistake, and invited Brooks to meet with them again, and the rest is history. You can celebrate Independence Day this year with some great country music by the genre’s biggest name. He will be at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on July 4. Tickets are available now and our pricing starts at $52 for that show.

6/11/15 - Country icon Garth Brooks is no stranger to the record books, and he’s still achieving milestone after milestone after 30 years making music. This week, Brooks shattered the record for ticket sales in Louisiana, and he did it in just 43 quick minutes. As of last week, Brooks had sold upwards of 55,420 tickets at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans for shows on July 10, 11, and 12. Because tickets are still selling, those figures could go even higher as show time gets closer. His previous record was a mere 42,110 tickets, which he set from April 23 – 25 in 1998 at the Pete Maravich Center in Baton Rouge, LA. Brooks is currently stationed in Birmingham, AL, where he will perform with wife Trisha Yearwood through Saturday night.

6/2/15 - In an unexpected scheduling conflict, country superstar Garth Brooks has had to cancel some of his scheduled shows at the Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Florida. The Stanley Cup finals have scheduled a game there on June 6, and it simply wasn’t feasible to hold both events back-to-back. Brooks has stated that, for now, the shows will be refunded and then hopefully rescheduled later on. Disappointing fans is not something he ever wants to do, but he showed some true class and graciousness, despite being hit with such a hard decision. Birmingham, Alabama is the next stop on his tour with wife, Trisha Yearwood. They will play three shows at the BJCC Arena and we have tickets on sale now! Come see him on June 12 or 13 with prices starting at right around $30.

5/26/15 - Country icon Garth Brooks has visited myriad cities and countries around the world on tour in his long career, but there’s still one place he hasn’t held a headlining concert. Surprisingly, Brooks has never performed a headlining show in New Orleans, LA, but all of that is about to change. He recently gave fans in the Big Easy something major to look forward to when he announced this week that he will play his first ever series of concerts at the Smoothie King Center this July. As with the rest of his tour, wife and co-headliner Trisha Yearwood will join Brooks for all of the shows in New Orleans. The first two shows of the series are currently scheduled for Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11.

5/22/15 - Seasoned country rocker Garth Brooks is taking a brief break from his massive tour to enjoy some downtime, although he may just be trying to regroup after having his long-standing record broken at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night. Taylor Swift took home eight awards at Sunday’s ceremonies, bringing her career total to 20. Now the most decorated musician in the show’s history, at just 25 years old, Swift has taken the crown away from the reigning titleholder. Brooks previously held the record with a career total of 19 wins. The defeat isn’t likely to be weighing too heavy on the creator of hits like “Friends In Low Places,” however. His tour has been a huge success and millions of fans worldwide continue to support him. Come show him your support at the May 28 show in Knoxville, TN.

5/13/15 - After spending a week in Omaha, Garth Brooks has left the Nebraska town, leaving them to regroup after dazzling them with six sold out shows. During one of the concerts, the star’s wife, Trisha Yearwood, honored a woman in the audience who is battling stage four lung cancer by dedicating a performance of “Prize Fighter” to her. The country music superstar and his wife will now be taking a short break to rest and recuperate before heading to Knoxville, Tennessee for another four concerts in four nights at the end of the month. Tickets are sold out in many locations, but we still have them available starting at $70 for the show on May 28. Come hear this power couple perform their greatest hits and see whose dreams they make come true!

5/5/15 - As country crooner Garth Brooks continues his massive tour in Omaha, NE this week, he recently sat down to talk about his favorite song that he’s ever recorded. The answer may surprise some fans, who’ve come to know and love Brooks by such hits as “Friends in Low Places,” “Unanswered Prayers,” and “The Thunder Rolls.” Brooks maintains that his favorite song he’s ever recorded is still 1989’s bittersweet ballad “The Dance.” Although music publishers Don Tolle and Tony Arata are the original writers of the song, both executives agree the piece wouldn’t have been nearly as successful if anyone other than Brooks had recorded it. In fact, “The Dance” went on to become Brooks’ third most successful single, spending three weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard charts in 1990.

4/30/15 - Some may say that Garth Brooks’ career was at its peak in the 1990s, but he is setting the record straight by beating some of his own records from that time. In 1996, his concert in Knoxville, Tennessee sold a whopping 48,359 tickets, but he has beaten that number by selling an astounding 48,683 for an upcoming show in the same town. Clearly this country music superstar isn’t a mere relic of the past; his best days are perhaps ahead. Known for his incredible display of showmanship and impressive skills as a musician, his concerts are just as popular as they ever were. He is currently doing a stint of shows at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pennsylvania. Tickets for Saturday’s performances (May 2) start at right around $50.

4/22/15 - It’s no surprise that a superstar like Garth Brooks is often featured in media headlines, and this week he is being heralded for helping to raise $1.5 million for charity. He co-hosted this year’s Lifting Lives Gala, which was put on by the Academy of Country Music, along with his wife and fellow country music artist, Trisha Yearwood. Part of the proceeds will go to Teammates for Kids, an organization which was cofounded by Troy Aikman and Brooks in 1999. This Friday and Saturday, Garth and Trisha will be back on stage at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, PA. Tickets are still available in all price ranges, but starting at just $6 for seats in the upper concourse, you can afford to take the whole family!

4/13/15 - Garth Brooks got up extra early to visit with Good Morning America recently, and he made a special announcement for all the women out there. He is planning a special mother’s day surprise for one lucky mom, in which he will personally visit and serenade the winner. As this contest and his recently released song “Mom” would suggest, he has a very special place in his heart for his family. After taking an extended break from touring to raise his daughters, Garth is back on the road and the fans can’t seem to get enough. This Wednesday and Thursday he will perform back-to-back shows at the Moda Center at the Rose Garden in Portland, OR. We have a very limited number of tickets left, so don’t wait to purchase yours for just $38 and up.

4/7/15 - Country music icon Garth Brooks is no stranger to setting records. In 1997, Brooks sold 66,000 tickets for a multi-date tour stop in Lincoln, which set a ticket volume record in the state of Nebraska. Now, the legendary singer has destroyed his own record. He sold 92,000 tickets for his upcoming series of shows in Omaha, NE, which runs May 7 through May 10. It seems Brooks just can’t get enough of the stage, because he also recently announced two additional shows in Tampa, FL on June 5 and 6 at the Amalie Arena. The crooner and his wife and co-headliner, Trisha Yearwood, are currently in Portland, OR where they will perform several shows through April 16. Tickets are still available to all remaining shows at varying prices.

3/30/15 - Country rocker Garth Brooks has always been a people pleaser. Brooks played in Sacramento, CA last weekend as a part of his 2015 and managed to turn one fan’s dream into a reality. The lucky fan said she had waited 30 years to see Brooks in concert, but that’s not what made last weekend so special. The fan brought a homemade sign and, although it nearly got her kicked out of the concert, it helped her get the gift of a lifetime. The sign resembled a guitar and said, “Garth want to swap?” When Brooks saw the sign, he brought her up to the stage without thinking twice and gave her his guitar, pick, and capo before shaking her hand. Afterward, one of the stage technicians brought the fan backstage to give her Brooks’ guitar case as well.

3/24/15 - Country crooner Garth Brooks and his wife and coheadliner, Trisha Yearwood, just gave fans in Nebraska something to cheer about this spring. The dynamic duo will take their 2015 World Tour to Omaha in May, marking 17 years since the last time Brooks played a concert in Nebraska. They will play at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha on May 8 and May 9, with both shows starting at 7PM. Brooks hinted that he and Yearwood might appear in Nebraska back in December, when he stopped by a local radio station program and mentioned that he had “seen it on the schedule.” It looks like the rumors were true, so be sure to get your tickets to these legendary shows before they sell out for good.

3/20/15 - Country sensation Garth Brooks has officially arrived in the Mile High City, where he will play a series of nine shows at the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO through March 24. He’ll play two shows at the packed arena back to back on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. This is his first trip to Denver to perform in a staggering 18 years, and Brooks admits that it is an intimidating schedule. Before kicking off his concert series in Denver on Wednesday, however, Brooks had a chance to relax and visit young patients at the Children’s Hospital in Aurora, just outside of Denver. Children and parents alike were thrilled to see the country star, who happily stopped to pose for pictures and chat with several generations of fans.

3/10/15 - Country music king Garth Brooks is taking a week-long break following a stint in Buffalo that lasted four nights and included six total concerts. The singer clearly enjoyed his stay, even playing a round of ‘Would You Rather’ with the media instead of having a traditional press conference. This was his first time in the city in over 17 years, but for fans, the shows were well worth the wait. On March 18, he will begin another set of shows in Denver, CO. He and Trisha Yearwood, his wife of over nine years, will perform nine concerts at the Pepsi Center in just seven days. Whether you take that special someone, or plan on seeing Brooks with family or friends, tickets can be yours for as little as $38.

3/5/15 - Those who think Garth Brooks is in a rebuilding stage of his career can simply think again. Man Against Machine, the latest studio album released by the country music legend has been certified platinum, meaning it has sold over one million copies since its debut in November of last year. This makes him the number one selling solo artist right now. Brooks is back in a big way, and the fans are simply loving it. His tour in support of the record has already been wildly successful, and has recently been extended to include two final shows in Portland, OR on April 12 and 13 at the Moda Center at the Rose Garden. We have your tickets available now at a starting price of $184 for the concert on the 12th.

2/24/15 - Country legend Garth Brooks began his stay at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, MI last weekend for the first of six shows at the venue. This marks the first time Brooks has performed in Detroit in over 18 years. Brooks made it clear his Friday opener would be all about the “old stuff,” delivering a high-energy show to the sold out crowd. He pulled out classic tricks his fans have come to know him by, including primal roars and astonishment at the cheers coming from the audience. Although Brooks considers himself more of a brother than father to today’s country musicians, he also poked fun at his age saying, “I’m like 105 years old…the only way [I’m] getting through six shows is if you help me out.”

2/17/15 - With his ongoing 2015 tour coming to an end next month, fans of Garth Brooks and wife and co-headliner Trisha Yearwood will now have something to look forward to in April. The pair just announced that they will host the 2015 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Lifting Lives gala at the Omni Dallas Hotel and Fort Worth Zoo on April 17. The gala is based on philanthropy and is designed to raise funds for several organizations including Brooks’ charity Teammates for Kids. Funds will also go to Child Life Zones of Dallas and Cook Children’s of Fort Worth. The event is being called “One Night, Two Cities” and will be attended by musicians as well as celebrities. In the meantime, fans in Detroit, Buffalo, and Denver still have a chance to catch the country crooner live on tour.

2/10/15 - While playing several sold out shows at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA, country crooner Garth Brooks took a break in between shows on his 2015 tour with wife and fellow singer Trisha Yearwood to head to football practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He hosted his pro camp, “Teammates For Kids,” at the Steelers’ practice grounds on the South Side. Besides getting to meet Brooks, around 100 children from the Boys and Girls Club also got to do drills with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and teammate Brett Keisel. Brooks and Yearwood will resume their tour later this month with several shows in Detroit, MI at the Joe Louis Arena. Tickets are still available for most dates at varying prices, but are expected to sell out quickly.

2/3/15 - Great news for fans of Garth Brooks and wife and fellow country musician Trisha Yearwood: the singers are scheduled to record a Christmas album as a priority project for 2015. This gives fans something to look forward to, even as their countrywide tour comes to an end in Denver, CO next month. Brooks stated earlier this month that he and his wife had started a Christmas duets album. This will be the husband and wife team’s first full duet album together, having previously recorded single duet hits “In Another’s Eyes” and “The Call.” Additionally, Yearwood has appeared on backup vocals to many of Brooks’ greatest hits. The next stop on their tour is Pittsburgh, PA, where the pair will perform for several nights at the Consol Energy Center.

1/28/15 - Garth Brooks fans have enjoyed getting a chance to see the famous singer perform his new and classic hits during his latest tour around the country. Fans at the recent Boston performance were treated with a surprise, and completely unplanned, addition to the tour when Lee Brice joined Brooks onstage to sing "More than a Memory." This song, released by Brooks in 2007 and making its way to the top of the charts that year, was Brice's first hit as a songwriter. The performance in Boston was the first time the pair sung the song together on stage, as well as a rare appearance by an unannounced guest performer. Brooks and his wife and fellow headliner Trisha Yearwood next head to Pittsburgh, PA, for a six night series of concerts, with tickets still on sale.

1/23/15 - Tickets are selling quickly across the nation and world for Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood’s highly anticipated tour. In fact, the duo just broke a record for selling more than 140,000 tickets for eight shows at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado on the very first day that tickets went on sale. As if that weren’t enough, Brooks also took back his title as the best-selling solo artist in the United States. His album, Man Against Machine, recently earned platinum status. While Brooks is thrilled about regaining his title, he’s even more excited to get back out on stage to do what he loves after a long hiatus. Tickets are selling at lightning speed around the country, so be sure to book yours now before the opportunity is gone!

1/14/15 - Garth Brook's extended seven-show tour stop in his home state of Oklahoma has been filled with special moments so far. Although the tour celebrates the release of his first new album in years, most of the concert is devoted to his classic hits, to the delight of fans. He has also treated several fans during the shows, including upgrading some to the first row and giving his guitar to a fan in the audience. His final show in Tulsa is on Saturday, Jan. 17th, and then he moves on to Boston for six shows, starting on Jan. 22nd. Brooks continually adds more cities to his tour, and just announced two shows in Denver in March. Tickets remain on sale for most dates, but they are sure to sell out for this popular tour.

1/7/15 - The folks in Tulsa, Oklahoma are so excited to welcome Garth Brooks to their city that they temporarily renamed some of the streets around the BOK Center arena to honor the singer. The names are changed to some of the country superstar’s greatest hits including “Shameless,” “Thunder Rolls” and “Low Places.” This will be his first time appearing in his hometown in 17 years, adding to the excitement of the event and making this a true homecoming for the cowboy, who is bringing along his wife and fellow singer, Trisha Yearwood. Now Garth Brooks is continuing his tour across the nation to allow more of his fans to get to see him live. Performing with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, he presents many of his standard hits such as “Friends in Low Places,” “Shameless,” and “Unanswered Prayers,” alongside duets with Yearwood on “How Do I Live” and “XXX’s and OOO’s,” among others. At a recent show in Minneapolis, Brooks stopped the show during his famous song “The Dance,” to hand over his guitar to a cancer patient who held a sign stating, “Chemo this morning, Garth tonight, enjoying The Dance.” This poignant moment just goes to show that watching Brooks perform is an incredible treat. Garth Brooks tickets are in such high demand, that the singer set a personal record for seats sold, with over 180,000 tickets in Chicago snatched up under three hours. Stay tuned for more big reveals and get your Garth Brooks tickets from Razorgator today!

Look out young bucks, the real cowboy’s back in town. Garth Brooks sent Nashville into a tizzy after he revealed his return to country music following a voluntary thirteen-year hiatus. During a recent press conference, Brooks promised tons of “cowboy music” on his forthcoming double album and three-year world tour. But don’t expect the “Friends in Low Places” singer to change his signature style in favor of the "bro-country" or “hick-hop” flavor that has taken over the genre; the veteran musician will be sticking to the same guns that got him into the Country Music Hall of Fame and made him one of the best-selling solo acts of all time.

It can be a universally agreed upon that country has not been the same since “The Dance” crooner left to raise his family. Brooks’ work has influenced a generation of country acts, inspired contemporaries like Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney, John Michael Montgomery and has highlighted the last several decades of music. Whether it’s stoic singles bemusing loss, up-tempo anthems to bump in your truck, or even charismatic hoedown records, Brooks breadth and talent is undeniable. Pending his return to the spotlight, the artist labored in the studio for the upcoming November 2014 release of his first studio album of all-original material since 2001.

With Garth Brooks tickets you can finally hear the best songs in country, from “Unanswered Prayers” to “What She’s Doing Now,” “The Thunder Rolls” and “Longneck Bottle” in person! Get amped for this game-changer's return to the world tour stage where he’ll “fly the flag for country music” on high. There’s no telling when this cowboy will ride off into the sunset, so buy your Garth Brooks tickets while you can!
