How does the ticketing process work? Tickets for each game of the Men’s College World Series are sold separately. If you want to attend a doubleheader, you must purchase tickets for both games. Since you are purchasing tickets separately, you are not guaranteed the same exact seats for both games. On doubleheader days, the first game will start at 1 p.m. and the second will start at 6 p.m. Gates open two hours prior to the start of the first game.
What do all the numbered games mean? The Men’s College World Series uses a double elimination format. The series starts with eight teams that are divided into two brackets. The four teams in each bracket are seeded one through four depending on the team’s regular season record and national ranking. Once a team loses two games, they are eliminated.
View College World Series BracketHow does the Championship work? The Men's College World Series Championship is also in a double elimination format and is a best-of-three series between the winners of bracket 1 and 2. Championship Game 3 is only necessary if the winner of Game 1 loses Game 2. In that case, Game 3 will decide the Men’s College World Series Champion.
