This arena also hosts ice hockey, rodeos, circuses, concerts and other special events. Rose Garden Arena is comprised of eight different levels encompassing approximately 785,000 square feet, of which five levels are used during major events. There are two main concourses, including the main concourse on level 100 and a concourse on the 300 level. The 200 level, located between the upper and lower level tiers, houses the Club seats and over 60 luxury suites.
There is a command high tech center that is located on the Event Level of the arena where all of the sound, lighting and security systems are housed.
Suspended above the event floor are eight rows of 20 panels for a total of 160 panels of customized acoustical specific event panels. These panels are 10 foot by 10 foot square and feature a hard and a soft side. For an event where many loud reverberations are desired, such as a basketball game, the hard panel surface faces downward toward the event action and crowd, reflecting noise back to its source. During events where acoustical control and overall sound quality must be at a higher level, such as for concert events, the soft panel surface faces downward absorbing extraneous sound.
The Rose Garden is the located in the Rose Quarter complex which consists of the Rose Garden at one end, and its predecessor the Memorial Coliseum at the other end. Sitting right in the center of this complex is a court yard that houses shops, restaurants and a Blazers team store.
