A long-standing member of the Canadian Football League, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats was actually formed on the amateur level in 1869 as a football club above a fruit store. The current incarnation which competes in today’s CFL came into existence in 1950 has gone on to become eight time winners of the CFL’s ultimate prize, the Grey Cup.
