Located between Dallas and Fort Worth in Arlington, Texas, the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington is a 270-acrea complex that is home to the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball team. This baseball-only park features an asymmetrical field with a home run porch located in right field. The diamond is over 20 feet below street level with the home team’s bullpen sitting at in right field. The outfield fences are eight feet high in center and right field and 14 feet in left. The natural grass is Texas grown and has been growing on the field since 1996. The playing surface is then covered by 4-5 inches of pea gravel and 14-15 inches of sand mixture. There is a tarp that attached to a hydraulic lift.
Within the confines of this unique park there are many extras designed for the fans. There is learning center for the kids and a museum. Bordering the ballpark is a 12-acre lake, a ballpark for the tikes that are future MLB players, and plenty of space for recreation and relaxing.

The home team’s bullpen is located in right center, just in front of the home run porch. The opposing team’s bullpen is located between the left field reserve and bleacher sections out in left center field.
