Located next to the Bay, in San Francisco, California, AT&T Park opened on March 31, 2000. The home of Major League Baseball’s San Francisco Giants, this stadium can seat over 41,000 fans. The surface of the park is natural grass. Dimensions of the field include the left field line at 229 feet, left field is 364 feet and left center field is just over 400 feet. Center field is almost 400 feet while right center field is over 421 feet deep. Right field measures 365 feet with the right field line at 309 feet.
This open-air park is also home to the California Redwoods of the USFL and hosts the Emerald Bowl. There are several suites available throughout the park, including over 30 luxury suites that allow ticket holders into all of levels of the ballpark which feature the Field Club and Club Level areas. In addition, located in the infield are suites that offer full length windows from which fans can see the San Francisco Bay, McCovery Cove and the Bay Bridge.
Fans have many seating options at the AT&T Park. The stadium contains 5200 club seats on the club level and an additional 1500 club seats at the field level behind home plate. There are also box seats that include premium, lower, left field, view box, view reserved and box level seating. Fans can also watch the games from the arcade seating area. Bleacher seating include sections 136-142 with sections 143-144 housing the center field bleachers. There is also a standing room area.
Lighted batting tunnels are open to the public. Fans can hit balls in two different cages. Fans of all ages can enjoy the Coca-Cola Fan Lot where they can play in a miniature ballpark that includes a video scoreboard as part of a speed-pitch game. One of the biggest baseball gloves in the world is displayed and is a favorite among kids. There is an area for parties and events just behind the center field scoreboard that offers great views of the Bay.
Scoreboards at this park are abundant with an HD video board and other automated scoreboards. Fans are able to keep up with the stats during the games in style. The right field wall features manual operated boards that offer visitors information about teams and their games as they unfold.
