USA Basketball Gears Up For 2016 Rio Olympics

USA Basketball Showcase Tickets

After a crazy summer of max contracts and superstars switching teams, it’s finally time for the players to get back on the court. The new look national team has a solid mix of young and veteran superstars going to Rio this summer, who are motived to bring the gold medal back home.

The USA Men’s National team heading to Rio includes a ‘who’s who’ of basketball superstars; from Kevin Durant to Carmelo Anthony to Kyrie Irving. Although there are some notable names missing including Lebron James and Steph Curry, the USA roster is notches above any team in the world. Even new emerging superstars such as Jimmy Butler, DeMar DeRozan, Klay Thompson and Paul George headline the Gold Medal favorites heading into the Rio Olympics.

It’s not saying the US Team is penciled to win the gold medal. They still need to play the games. Putting together a team of superstars looks great on paper, but they still need to build team chemistry and learn how to play with each other. Remember in 2004, the US boasted a team of Allen Iverson, LeBron James and Tim Duncan to name a few, yet only managed to get Bronze that summer. Athens 2004 was considered a huge disappointment as the US is the only country in the world that sends a team made up of all NBA players.

Football is one thing, but check out these stadiums for their awesome tailgates

NFL Tailgate Tickets

Enjoying a football game can have a whole new dimension if you do it in style – and by in style, we mean participate in a tailgate party before the game at the stadium. Whether you barbecue or enjoy beer with the camaraderie of fellow fans, tailgating is one way to make the football season memorable.

Razorgator has a full listing of NFL tickets, but be sure to check out some of the stadiums best known for hosting fantastic tailgate parties. Here’s a list of sports sites known as great locations for the festivities.

Yahoo cites the Denver Broncos’ home, the Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, as a great place for a pre-game party.

The Mile High Stadium doesn’t just permit tailgating, it encourages it. Tailgating is allowed in all parking lots,” Yahoo notes. But a word of warning: “While Broncos fans are known for being some of the nicest in the NFL, if someone offers you a taste of their Rocky Mountain Oysters, you might want to politely turn them down. The delicacy is essentially deep-fried bull, pig, or sheep testicles.”

The Broncos play at their home field from August until January 1 with Broncos tickets selling for a range of prices.

The Cleveland Browns’ home, FirstEnergy Stadium, takes tailgating so seriously that fans have their own unique, mouthwateringly naughty food of choice.

“There are plenty of tailgating traditions at FirstEnergy, but none run as deep as their infamous beer-can chicken; a whole bird with a can of brew stuffed inside it’s cavity, and grilled over indirect heat until the skin crisps up,” notes AroundMe.

Check Razorgator for Browns game tickets at their home stadium between August and Christmas Eve.

The Philadelphia Eagles stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, also takes tailgating fun pretty seriously.

“Tailgaters make official-looking t-shirts and give their groups names. Many have been grilling and playing Shotgun Shotgun, a kind of drinking relay, in the same spot for decades,” according to Yahoo.

Wow. For that experience, Razorgator has Eagles home game tickets from August until Januar 1. Check it out to get in on the fun.

Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs, got ranked among the top ten tailgating stadiums by the Daily Meal – and it sounds like the place to be if you like splurging on bacon.

“The most important components of this tailgate are the two B’s: beer and bacon,” according to the food website. “It doesn’t matter whose tent you visit, the food is always served with bacon, if not wrapped inside it. An Arrowhead Stadium tailgate is a full-blown bacon extravaganza that [attracts] visitors from all around the country.”

If you want to be a part of the beer and bacon bonanza and check out a Chiefs game while you’re at it, follow Razorgator for Chiefs tickets to home games from August until Christmas.

Another stadium that made the Daily Meal’s top ten list was the Chicago Bears’ home, Soldier Field. The stadium not only welcomes tailgaters, but you’re in for some delicious eats while you’re there – if you can brave the cold.

“This hardy tailgate is known for fans facing the cold and grilling some of the best steaks around,” says the Daily Meal. “You can bring whatever you want to eat or drink, but Chicago is famous for its grilled Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Yes, you read that right. What could be better?”

If you can’t say no to the idea of a fried Krispy Kreme, check out Razorgator for Bears home game tickets between August and Christmas.

Football is a cornerstone American tradition, but tailgate parties at football games have taken on a life of their own. Get your NFL tickets and make sure you get there early to park and join in on the food, drink and festivities as we round the corner to the start of an exciting season.
